Love that sound!!! -Daniel
I LOVE RECORDING THESE VIDEOS ON TAPE THAT WAY I DONT NEED A TURKEY CALL TRY IT YOULL LIKE IT.DOUGLAS
Is it okay if I use a part of this video, please? It’s an experiment on what birds sound like slowed down in order to get an idea of what dinosaurs probably actually sounded like.
Your land is beautiful where is this it is amazing
It is near Branson Missouri! You can find out more about The Proving Grounds here: www.growingdeer.tv/our-place/ -Daniel
Hi, I am Trevor Boyce, I'm 13, and I'm from Iowa. Where are you from? Because if you live close to where i am i was wondering if i could turkey hunt on your land. It looks like you have an abundant amount of turkey on your land. I am a die hard turkey hunter and i was just curious if i could try to get a nice tom on your land.
Oh, and i have won the turkey calling contest at the iowa state fair for the past 2 years and for 6 solid years of gobbler hunting i have got 3 toms and a jake
Tbone_9035 my middle name is Boyce lol
Tbone_9035 I'm 12 I've shot 5 turkeys and I live in Minnesota
Tbone_9035 you can't just ask him to hunt
Tbone_9035 you can’t get permission to this land I’ll tell you that much right now
Was that ol 3 beard at 6:35?
Grant, I've got a quick question... what do you plant or do to attract so many turkeys to your property? Or do you have a video that could answer it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks and great videos!!
+BGF Outdoors Great question, we plant soybeans and leave them standing through the fall. and winter. This provides lots of tonnage for the turkeys. Once these beans are consumed,, our clover plots begin to green up. Turkeys love clover in the spring time. Roughly 10% of our food plot acreages is planted in clover. -Matt
Thank you
Turkey hunters: were you or are you able to sound like the real thing? How long have you been calling and hunting turkeys to get "good enough" to fake out a gobbler?
Called in a few birds in Northwestern PA. Been at it for about 10 years. Called in a few birds in New Mexico and Texas on vacation and hoping to do some spring time hunting in Idaho.
GrowingDeer.tv I am the way
At the end of the video what slate were you using?
We use a Hooks Custom Call crystal pot call. You can find out more about this call and how we use it here: www.growingdeer.tv/#/how-to-call-turkeys-using-owl-hooters-crow-calls-and-friction-calls Thanks for watching Adam! -Daniel
Around the 6 to 8 minute mark that gobbler looks too have a triple beard.
It sure looks that way! Good eye! -Daniel
nice triple beard
+Landy S Beautiful turkey! Thanks for watching! -Matt
If you can't kill a gobbler there you got problems😂
Hey Dr.Grant at our place they aren't gobbling but their strutting like crazy why?
Turkey Hunter Sounds like they are with hens if toms are strutting but not responding
to calls or gobbling. I suspect this will change in a few days and the
toms will be more responsive if hunting pressure hasn't been to high.
I hope you are blessed with an enjoyable season! - Grant
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone I know I'm late
Earl - And I'm late responding! - grant
They don't make a lot of noise
Didn't hear very many sounds. They didn't include the feeders in the videos either. Only way that many birds come out that consistently is with corn! Did you see the gobbler with multiple beards? the hens that came out behind him picking the bare ground to the left? Doesn't add up in Arkansas.
Michael Efird No corn and no feeders used on this property at this time. These trail cameras were set up before turkey season so they were still in their flocking patterns. Hens pecking the ground are often "bugging." I think if you were to watch more of the videos on the www.GrowingDeer.tv channel you would see the wildlife management philosophies that we follow. We have over 290 videos on deer hunting, turkey hunting, wildlife management, food plots, trail cameras, and more. This video on the turkey "sounds" was a unique post for us --- a little something we thought our regular viewers would appreciate. Thank you for your comment and I hope you have a blessed 4th of July. - Tracy for the GrowingDeer.tv team
Michael Efird Just good habitat, years of working to balance the predator and prey populations, and lots of scouting to find strut zones. During the early spring toms will go to the same place daily and strut unless they are spooked by predators, etc.
+GrowingDeer.tv I know. I've killed around 100 birds and own/manage 1100 acres in Arkansas with about 50 being in food plots. know about bugging as well. we set off multiple cricket bombs every year. cricket bombs are just going out and dumping 500 or 1,000 crickets in a pile. turkeys hear all the crickets and run around like crazy chasing them. I also hunt every in Kansas corn fields where sometimes a hundred or more come out when the fields are cut. only see concentrations like that around grain. It's tv and advertising dollars and if they will give it too you, take it.
I do my turkey call at the house and my mom hates when I do it
+Kill Zone Outdoors Practice makes perfect! -Matt
yah... tell my mom that... lol
THREE DAYS LEFT UNTIL OPENING DAY
May you have a blessed season Hunter! Thanks for watching -Daniel

DO ONLY MALES DO THE FAN???this is cool...
Hens will also fan occasionally! -Daniel
Linda Carpenter , yes only the gobblers do the fan
Linda Carpenter when they fan like that they are strutting
there's not that many turkeys in Florida not where I live
We've hunted turkey down in south Florida: th-cam.com/video/M52mcqPD86s/w-d-xo.html
john marston it depends on what part of Florida you're in I'm in Florida and I got hundreds of turkeys around
is this not rap music?
We have so many turkeys at different times of the year at my house, all I can say is CRAP!! We have two resident Toms named Bob & Marley, they are here now out front lounging. My wife heard them doing a different call or vocal sound. I think it was just the pur? Gobbles are easy to figure out, the Putt is more of a danger sound but the Pur??? I had to give the video a thumbs down, not because it was bad but it doesn't bother to explain the different sounds. They have a good vocabulary but, We would like to understand them better. Come Spring and Fall they really get vocal, more so in the Spring.
You might find the kind of information you seek in this video: th-cam.com/video/deiGdusO5HY/w-d-xo.html
Can I come hunting there please
Some really great trailcam videos. Keep up the good videos. Hope you get a chance to check out my channel.
Thanks Anthony! They are Recoynx Ultrafires! -Daniel
Yeah but DON'T Educate them.....or you'll Never get any
