I don't know where I've been, but i just discovered this channel while seeking out new Kreeft material. Anyway this whole channel is great! Love it! It's in regular rotation with Pints With Aquinas, Counsel of Trent, and a handful of others. God bless everyone involved and thank you!
The first film I watched that connected me to the Logos is Schindlers List. Ever since then, I needed more. I still need more. Film is a very powerful medium.
I am a Catholic convert, and it was actually what I would consider to be a "Logos rich" series that evangelized me: Netflix's Daredevil. It was all about the struggle of faith and justice and hope in the midst of a fallen and corrupt world.
I one who used to go to movies at least once a week, but it’s been over twenty years since I last went. The speaker gave a reason why people stopped going to movies and it’s the exact reason why I stopped.
I had not heard of "Some Important Films" until today and I went to look it up - turns out I am the kind of movie-watcher who has seen all but maybe four or five of them. Looking forward to Andrew's book. Great talk.
I loved this! The statistics of the number of americans going to the movies really surprised me. But this provoked a thought: if it was the best way in which people could have a good time together, is it comparable to today's TV series? Because if everyone was watching a specifical movie at the time, today everyone is watching (almost) the same series, only in a major scale and alone at home
He chuckles off, “probably because it had a divorced woman”. But look at movies now. Are things better now that there is no similar Catholic group reviewing these?

The way you pronounce Ordet is with a soft d and we almost make it sound like it's one vocal.
It means the word in danish, my native language.
Why not recommending platforms in youtube or others which offer these movies to watch compatible with evangelization as you recommend books, please
How can I find that Vatican list of 45
