  • This is a well detailed kit from Revell, which I guess is a repack of the Eduard BF... I hope I did it justice.

    Great job on this Dora! One thing tho, the late style, "blown" canopy did not had the pulley, so the antenna wire was just attached to it and would be hanging lose when the canopy is in open position.

      That's a good point... I didn't think of it. Thanks for watching :)

      @@wbpsmodels3452you would also have a loose connecting wire from rear fuselage to mid point of the lengthened Ariel wire check out a few late war Dora references you’ll see what I mean, nice job though

    ...nice model great job ! I think Dora-9 ' Morane antenna next to drop tank and right gear lost...?

      @wbpsmodels3452  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't recall having seen such an antenna in the plans... there was a circular antenna behind the drop tank, around the middle of the fuselage. Thank you for watching :)

    Nicely done and a well constructed, crafted and presented final reveal. I really enjoyed this episode as I garnered a number of hints for my 190, still winking at me to begin, sitting in my stash (Revell 1/32 F8)......hopefully I'll start it soon although I do have a few kits on the go at the moment. Thanks for keeping us entertained with your videos.....look to see what you have for us in the future.

      As always, your comments are great to read! Thank you for your kind words. I have the Revell '32 190 in my stash as well... but for the time i'm building a Wellington (72) - this will be the next vid- and my son is pressing me to complete my Motorhead Heinkel next... Stay tuned! Thanks for watching :)

      Yep.. my old oil burner (or whatever that contraption is called, to use with scented oils) came quite handy.

    After building it too I must say Revell always make things hard for the builder. Step 5-11 are really bad engineered. As can be said about 19 and 21. Revell can never do things like Tamiya. If you misalign the wing assambly just a fraction of a millimeter ( on a tamiya model that's impossible) you're in for a filler, sawing, sanding and rescripting weekend... And the main wheels will not fit. You did a cracking job with it I must say.

    I am not sure for the metalic propeler scratch , because it was made with wood in d9

    • @wbpsmodels3452
      @wbpsmodels3452  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems that the D series adopted the wooden props from the D-11 variant onwards... according to Wiki at least.. At any rate, thanks for watching :)

      Err no! the d-9 propeller was wood, all of the luftwaffe padle blade propellers were made from wood.

    You are a very good modeller you should try more free air brushing to do the camo work rather than use tape and stencils. I look forwar to your next Luftwaffe build.

    • @wbpsmodels3452
      @wbpsmodels3452  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes it's free-hand., sometimes it's tape or masking putty... depends on the model I guess... The next vid will be RAF but the one after will be Luftwaffe. Stay tuned ! Thank you for your kind words :)

    Nice work once again! My question is why would anyone buy the Revell kit instead of the Eduard one. When considering the weekend edition, they are the same plastic but the the Eduard model has 4 paint options instead of two (and more interesting i might add) plus the swastikas for the people who want them and it costs almost half the money.

    • @wbpsmodels3452
      @wbpsmodels3452  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question... Truth be told, this kit has been in my stash for quite some time... I guess i didn't even know Eduard when I bought this kit... as for the price, I think the prices are almost similar for the same model on the same scale... At any rate, thanks for watching :)

    Is that a scale 1/2" thick aerial then? Good idea though! 👍

    • @wbpsmodels3452
      @wbpsmodels3452  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      An actual 4 mm aerial in scale, would be 0.06 mm (or 0,0023 inches)... Honestly I don't know where to find so thin material and even if I could, I'm not sure i'd be able to handle it... The optical fiber (albeit not entirely in scale) works fine and is as thin as a thread (which I usually used). ;)

      Yes... wax-cored pencil... very useful for PE and small parts. And guess what.. its' from China ;)

    Why have you decanted your paints into these glass style medicine bottles?

    • @wbpsmodels3452
      @wbpsmodels3452  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use those vials (they are vaccine vials which my vet saves for me) to mix, dilute and store paints. I label them and keep them so that custom mixes are consistent throughout the whole build (what if I need some more of that custom paint I used at the beginning?) and I can save what was in the airbrush ball without contaminating the original bottle contents... Thank you for watching :) (See my video : building a mini rack and you'll see how it works)
