I heard that the Ing desended from the Phaz-Ing aka the ones encountered in Prime 3 Corruption, the Leviathan that crashed into Dark Aether, the Phaz-Ing travelling on it adapted to Dark Aethers Atmosphere by evolving from beings of Phazon to beings of Darkness.
I hope, one day, they make a Metroid game that takes us back to Aether after the luminoth have rebuilt their cities, civilization, weapons, and armor. I think it would be interesting to explore their culture more
I’m surprised the Luminoth didn’t try to contact the Chozo for help. I suppose they were aware that the Chozo were declining but still I think it would have been interesting if they had mentioned that in their lord.Maybe that was for the best because the last thing they needed was the Mawkin tribe to become possessed by the Ing.
I just realized I never commented on this video, fantastic video as always. Its always a treat to see content on the Luminoth, such an underrated species in Metroid lore. Always this editing style is great for these kinds of videos.
Now that i think back on the Ing i start to wonder if the Phaaze-Ing from Prime 3 were the ancestors to the Ing on Dark Aether considering how they largly appear the same and have similar abilities i think that when the leviathan crash landed on Aether the light of Aether got corrupted splitting it into a light and dark version of itself leaving the leviathan trapped on the Dark Aether as it poured its Phazon out the corrupting atmosphere created for Dark Aether corrupted and completely changed the Ing to become significantly more aggressive, powerful and smarter while the Emperor Ing was a average common variety till it came into contact with Dark Aethers planetary energy and using it mutated it to a degree and made it immensely more powerful than the rest and once they found a way to cross over to Light Aether so to did the Phazon which explains why there wasn't a lot of it on the planet at all especially compared to Tallon IV
Amazing video. I felt all the lore in this game pour back into me watching this. Such a great entry in the series. Edit: Okay... I had to listen back again for this one, but at 7:26 you said that the Space Pirates landed on Aether to conduct research experiments in the Galactic Calendar of 2026!?! Idk where this information comes from but I find it auspicious that we're coming close to that year!!! Call me a conspiracy theorist but wouldn't it be crazy if that was some major foreshadowing in the years to come?!? Just a thought tho...
@@theLoreRaiderOG Indeed. You actually see what seems to be remains of a Queen Parasite but not as big as the Queen you fight on the Orpheon at the start of the first Prime.
The Hunter Ing which are the one that phase in and out would be the most likely candidate to possess him as the Hunters at the top of the Ing soldiers that are only allowed to possess Commando Pirates while the majority of the grunts can use your standard garden variety Space Pirate whereas there are those few Guardian Ing that hold your stolen upgrades might be one level higher than the typical Ing soldier but lower than a Hunter.

It seems some ing might have survived as Darklings, you can find a dark metroid on prime 3 dissected in the metroid lab.
It could also be that the pirates just managed to scavenge the corpse of a dead Darkling (Metroid).
