Had a 55 Windsor, which was the plain Jane version of this. No power windows ore fancy taillights but basically the same grille, dash, interior style. Also had the smaller Hemi V-8. Was a real solid car! Oh, AC was an option but not common.
Like the 1955 Lincoln, I always thought it was such a shame that this 1955 imperial was saddle with the old 6 V system. Fortunately that was remedied in 1956 when imperial also also had a 3 inch longer wheelbase.
