Now in the year 2021.,I am a retired employee of mumbai port trust, movment mohindar sahab took last wicket of holding, it was round about 11.30at night in india, whole mumbai was down on streets to celebrate, I still remember, from andheri station west to versova village road was packed with people shouting and congratulating each other, near four bungallow gurudwara a sardarji bhaisahab gave us sweets, tears came in my eyes while writing this memory after winning 83world cup.

I was 6 when India won the World Cup in 1983 and like many of us have watched the 83 final highlights numerous times. My all time favorite Kris Srikkanth was the highest scorer in that game with his amazing batting (not even the so called greatest Viv Richards). He was the highest scorer when India won the 1985 World Championships of Cricket in Australia. Truly a legend!
I still remember kapil dev cried in a news channel interview when india won 2011 world cup, he carried all emotions for 28 years and cried on that day, yashpal ji miss u, they all are legends who brought cricket another level after 1983 WC wining cricket scenario changed in india thanks to all legends those who made india proud 👏
