Actually that is how I really pictured Christine to look when reading the book.I really like Ben's version of the Phantom, I would love to see a full show.
I mean, she was described to be blonde, not brunette like most other versions of Phantom.

Ben Forester has the most interesting performance of Phantom. It's weird in a good way, like how the phantom should be played

People are upset because in all productions of Phantom since it's opening, the characters wear the same hair, the same costumes, and even do the same exact blocking. Diverging from that makes it seem like a knock-off production (just like the horrible tour). Add on top of that, brunettes felt empowered to see a dark haired female lead in a genre that was notorious for saying blonde was prettier.
Ben Forster, even though I already thought him to be very talented before POTO, exceeded my expectations with his Phantom. I was curious if he'd be able to pull it off both vocally and acting wise, and his portrayal is one of the creepiest and yet curiously alluring I've seen. His wild eyes and expressions, emits the undercurrents of a mad and intoxicated obsession with Christine.
Surprisingly a raw video from the audience better than TH-cam live streaming.

Ben Forster owns the effing stage! This Christine is soooo good! I like the fact she didn’t break out of character after she sang! I hope he records the song in a cd of musical theatre songs!
When I saw the title for this video, I thought to myself, "Ben Forster? The dude from Jesus Christ Superstar?" I liked his voice, but didn't know what to expect. My jaw DROPPED when he started singing. I really like his version of the Phantom!

Anyway he is now into the role emotionally, it may be slightly different from the usual way.
I like his sound check version better. He was not as nervous as he was in the real show.

I saw Ben Forster plays Phantom 4 times...including his last performance.
It was brilliant. I think his Phantom may be based on Michael Crawford or original Leroux version.
He is so creepy, weird yet beautiful, mysterious, sexy and so pure and innocent...
Some people speaks ill of him but I'm sure he's the best Phantom of all time.( Well, Michael Crawford is incomparable.)
I saw him last week, he is phenomenal as the Phantom.

Ben Forster is phenomenal, however not a fan of this christine! Maybe I can't get past the blonde wig! Nonetheless I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT TONIGHT FROM THE SECOND ROW OF THE STALLS!

She is attempting the "crazier" side of Christine I guess but she's not pulling it off. Good voice though
She has a lovely voice but it kinda feels like Meg is the one singing, I guess cause they use almost identical wigs for her and Christine

nolan davisn nobody knows. even in a q&a with the actress, she said that even she didn't know. perhaps it's a reference to the original novel since emmi (the actress here) is actually swedish and blonde and so is christine originally.
They probably just wanted to be a little more faithful to the novel. Recently the colour of Christine's wig has also been changed to a more brownish blonde colour like butterscotch. Meg's wig is a lot darker as well

The director said she will be blonde when they casted Emmi. Also I saw her in the dark wig when she played Christine in Sweden and I have to say the blonde wig suits her much better.

Not a fan of this Christine, she's a tad expressionless, I'm not feeling no emotion from her, I loved the Phantom but think he'd of benefited from a Christine with a little sensuality like Sierra Boggess,
Michael Crawford, Hugh Panaro and Ramin Karimloo are definitely my favourite as they can make you feel the characters tormented inner soul and the rage he feels at the injustice of his life, the Phantom has deep sexual passion and omg Michael, Hugh and Ramin make you feel that, I mean how hard a task to convey your most deepest of emotions with your face half hidden by a mask, they definitely played the part from the soul and I don't think that can be said about everyone who's played the part,
To me, he's a mix of Franc D'Ambrosio and Ramin Karimloo. But I think his voice is to thin

He said on BBC that he landed on the wrong side and popped his back rib to the muscle or back rib dislocation.
I have the first audio of him from the 3rd February 2016 show. He was very creative with his voice. Even he mocked Carlotta in Think of Me, very emotional STYDI, Final Lair full of anger. This audio gave me goosebumps.
That was before the accident.

I saw Ben first in Jesus Christ Superstar, and, though his voice is obviously amazing, his technique is too contemporary for my taste and his acting choices aren’t great. Vocally he has the chops to be a great Phantom, but as an actor, I really don’t think so
the irony is I've seen Ben twice.
