To confirm, they needed to be living in poland on or after 1920 or just not have naturalized before 1920? Example left 1918 natrulized in 1921

Hi Brad and thanks for your question. They simply would need to have not naturalized - the date of emigration does not determine eligibility.

Hello, can you please give me a general answer to this burning question please: My great-great grandparents left Poland around 1880. I have their marriage information and can get the documents. They left with 3 kids born there. Then came to the USA. My great-grandfather was born in the USA in 1881. Hi father died before he was born. His mother died around 1930 in the USA, but never learned English or became a US citizen. I don't know where to look to find out/prove that she was "still registered" or not in Poland, if somehow I can find that out, and she was, I would imagine I would qualify, is this right? Is it is still possible she was registered to be living at the house/area in Poland (small town of Potulice near Poznan). Again, she never naturalized as a US citizen, but died after Poland became a country, I don't think she ever went back b/c she was too old, she died around age 91. Thank you in advance!

Hello! Thanks for the inquiry. From what you have told us, we believe your Polish lineage would have ended with your great-grandfather who was born in the U.S and therefore obtained U.S citizenship (before Poland was reinstated in 1918). Further generations would not ordinarily inherit Polish citizenship; however, we can still offer you alternative pathways to Polish citizenship.
