I'm from Pennsylvania. The PA. Troopers are very respected and admired by the citizens. One thing I remember growing up there is you don't mess with a PA. State Trooper they are all tough no nonsense folks. I'm proud of them, and glad there there. We should all give them the respect they deserve 👏
As a Retired Over The Road Trucker I got to meet some of Pa.'s State Trooper's always at Truck Stops, They talked to me like a person, a brother and I did the same I was happy to see them on the road doing a job that most people will not do, They are willing to give there lives for me and I would give mine for them, That is what Brothers and Sisters do Thanks for a job well done Pa.
I was born and raised in Pa. I had always aspired to be a Pa State Trooper. While attending college and after graduating, I took the Pa State Police exam three times 1980-1982. Back then, all the steel mills closed and it seemed like every high school in the state was full of laid off workers testing for the state police, on a Saturday . Some took the exam because they wanted to be a Trooper. Others took the exam as a job application requirement to keep their state unemployment checks coming. Thousands of applicants for a handful of seats in the next academy class. Affirmative action was in full swing and as I recall, a white male needed a score of 96 or better to be considered for further processing. All three of my test scores averaged out to around 95, I believe. I took the Ohio Highway Patrol exam, passed the exam and was awaiting further processing. Ohio had a hiring freeze. I got hired by a large city agency in the southwest. I took that job and I worked 32 years in law enforcement. Never looked back. Happily retired now.

Im a nobody who wants to be a somebody i thought about the marines or airforce but i want to stay with my family as a kid i said either pro wrestler or police officer i feel like i can do this after Christmas i plan on going to a college and then hopefully join hershey pa academy or any academy im just ready i want to be a police officer
Zoned it’s not that hate class C uniform. I like the short sleeves shirts that they have just I don’t like how there’s a tie is involved. I think it goes better with the long sleeve ones with the tie

I was a PA Trooper 24 years I can tell you the training was not nearly as hard as when I went through Marine Corps boot camp. So basically it will be a breeze if you went through any military boot camp.
I have a multiple sclerosis, but I live a very active lifestyle and have nothing disabling me. Would that be something that could disqualify me from becoming a state trooper?
they get to put in pref choices, but PSP gives you an assignment based on openings. Then after the probationary period you can request a transfer and wait for opening in that new location. It could take months to years to get to the troop and then you have to go where Troop commander needs you within the troop. Once again you put in your station pref and wait for an opening. Most guys are single and young when they start so they can move around.
Tyler Pencek PA state police are great. It's better if you get stationed in Central PA. If you have 4+ years of law enforcement experience you don't need the required college credits.

How about the 218 million dollars PSP stole in 2017 from penndot road and bridge gas tax, penndot had to make the money back by making an extra 5$ tax on all registered vehicles in the state..... You know that registration tax isn't going anywhere. Can you say no end to their corruption until they are abolished and disbanded.
