he's one of the worst fullbacks in the league though... seriously I love Marcelo but it ain't like the brazilian league is a poor league where he could go back and not get exposed. At least his new coach finally put him at midfield and in a minute restriction, him at fullback was suicide
@@Luckymag-if4dw Not that bad. People are acting like he's a traffic cone in defense, but he's super old. It's just common sense that the teammates need to cover for him. On the other hand, he's fundamental at getting past high pressure, even more now that André is gone.
It's one of the most heated derbies in Brazil, and we were up and won that game. But really terrible disrespect anyway from such a young player. He could've ended Marcelo's career then and there.

@@VideoAssistantRafi Well yeah he performed well but what difference does it make if he England still didn’t win anything. If England had a guy like Neymar with the quality they had in midfield at time, guarantee they would had won atleast one Euro. @@VideoAssistantRafi you have your points, but the fact is that NO ONE in Brazil blames Marcelo for absolutely anything you are talking about. David Luiz, Dante, Oscar, Thiago Silva, Fernandinho, and the coach, Felipão, have always been the ones we would point at and complain about when talking about 2014. Thiago Silva came back to play in Brazil and didn't even bring his family with him cause he knows that, in general, Brazilians hate him for his poor performances with the national team, and he wouldn't risk his kids being bullied or whatever. When Marcelo announced his return, everybody cheered with the possibility of having such an extraordinary player returning to Brazil. (I don't support Fluminense, and I still got excited about it) It is consensus in Brazil, though, that the players perform not even close to what they perform in their clubs (that includes Neymar, Marcelo, and EVERYONE ELSE), and it is also consensus that it has much more to do with the poor quality coaches we have. Throughout the years, nobody EVER asked Marcelo to quit the National Team, but even Neymar received this kind of criticism. As I said, you have your points, but you are trying to make them more relevant than they in fact are to compare Marcelo, one of the greatest LBs to ever play the game, to some mediocre player like Ashley Cole, who has his merits, but would never come close to what Marcelo represents to football.

sometimes he plays mid cause he is good
Left backs run the whole pitch. But he played some games as a midfielder because he's too old to fulfill all the defensive tasks.

You can't be too Much Brazilian in Brazil
Marcelo, do Fluminense
Pra mim no Fluminense ele deveria jogar como um 10, armando as jogadas, usa-lo atualmente na lateral é desperdício de talento.
Agora coloca os lances que ele ficou de xereca também kkkkkk
Should wear yellow.
