Seen them 11x live. They were my first show and have been convinced they are the best live band ever. Really glad you saw them live. You really can't explain it until you see them. #TOOL
Love to see the whole growth of Jim starting tool to seeing Tool live. Love seeing new fans enjoy what is (undeniably just music and 4 normal dudes) something that has actually made me try to be a better person.
I'm sooo glad you were finally able to see them live!! Been watching your Tool reactions for three years and was hoping you would get a chance to see them. They are absolutely on top of their game on this entire tour. I saw them earlier this year here in the states, and it was my third and best time! And you got to see them on Danny's birthday!!
Same night I was in the US (Fort Wayne, IN) watching Primus and their Tribute to Kings tour where the second half of the show contains Rush covers and I wore that exact same shirt!
So so so damn happy you got to see them! Watching your journey over this time has brought me so much enjoyment and seeing them is the pinnacle. And 7empest - you lucky bastard.
Glad you had such a great time, I nearly fell out my seat whe 7empest came on. The first time they had played it this tour. The Grudge > Right in Two > 7empest was transcendental
You lucky dog! You got to see tempest live. I saw one of their last shows before covid ended their tour and again about 2 months ago here in America but no tempest. Seriously good on you for going and bringing a someone new to Tool.
Not gonna lie Jim, pretty jealous of the show you got to see compared to the one in New Orleans that I saw! Extended versions of Sober, Pushit, Hooker with a Penis and tour debut of Tempest although Descending is my favorite track off Fear Innoculum. Like you, I can't wait to see them again! Love seeing videos of Tool fans who have recently come across to love the band and see them live! The closest I get to that same experience is listening to Salival with my headphones on. Thanks for all the reactions and sharing your 1st Tool concert experience!👍
I made it to the Tuesday gig also. It was one of the loudest gigs I've been to but you could hear all the indivual instruments so clearly. If there was a negative, it was the amount of folk walking back and forth to their seats throughout the gig. So many weak bladders. Great to hear tracks like the Undertow get an airing.
So Badass you got to hear 7empest man. That one has eluded me thus far. In Chicago I did finally get Descending, and fuggin Undertow was a hell of a surprise as was Sober (Sober live was next level). glad you enjoyed yourself, as if that was ever a question! ✌️👊
So happy you enjoyed the show Jim! Saw this tour three times and never saw 7empest played once, very nice. Never doubted for a second that you wouldn't dig the hell out of it. I went to both nights, and across the two, got to see the whole of Fear Inoculum (bar mockingbeat) played! They really varied the set list for this tour, missing out some of the older ‘classics’ which I’d seen live before, so I was more than pleased. Maynard was vocally great on both nights and the rest of the band are always pretty flawless live. I hope they have another album in them, as the development of the music from 10,000 days to Fear Inoculum is spectacular, I can’t imagine what they would come up with next!?
