I'm sooo glad you were finally able to see them live!! Been watching your Tool reactions for three years and was hoping you would get a chance to see them. They are absolutely on top of their game on this entire tour. I saw them earlier this year here in the states, and it was my third and best time! And you got to see them on Danny's birthday!!

Not gonna lie Jim, pretty jealous of the show you got to see compared to the one in New Orleans that I saw! Extended versions of Sober, Pushit, Hooker with a Penis and tour debut of Tempest although Descending is my favorite track off Fear Innoculum. Like you, I can't wait to see them again! Love seeing videos of Tool fans who have recently come across to love the band and see them live! The closest I get to that same experience is listening to Salival with my headphones on. Thanks for all the reactions and sharing your 1st Tool concert experience!👍

I made it to the Tuesday gig also. It was one of the loudest gigs I've been to but you could hear all the indivual instruments so clearly. If there was a negative, it was the amount of folk walking back and forth to their seats throughout the gig. So many weak bladders. Great to hear tracks like the Undertow get an airing.

The best concert I ever been. I just dont understand the seats on the floor. ?! In Poland these seats were cost 2.000 zlotych, means about 400 punds. Everyone they were all standing anyway. In Poland 2.000 złotych sometimes Its a monthly salary (imagine that:p). It doesnt matter, tickets were sold out very fast . Nice to hear you liked it . I just had a Toolgasm.

I went to both nights, and across the two, got to see the whole of Fear Inoculum (bar mockingbeat) played! They really varied the set list for this tour, missing out some of the older ‘classics’ which I’d seen live before, so I was more than pleased. Maynard was vocally great on both nights and the rest of the band are always pretty flawless live. I hope they have another album in them, as the development of the music from 10,000 days to Fear Inoculum is spectacular, I can’t imagine what they would come up with next!?

If you do get the chance to see them live again, Jim, I heartily recommend spending the extra to secure a seat nearer to the stage. I had a similar seat to yours when I saw the Manchester gig - it was the tenth time I’ve seen them, by far the furthest away from them that I’ve ever been & for me, it was the least ‘involved’ I’ve ever felt at a Tool gig. Of course the visuals were jaw-dropping (as was the performance & the set-list) but there’s something about seeing the whites of their eyes & witnessing the interplay between them that you simply can’t experience from a distance, especially as they’ve always flatly refused to show close-up’s of of the band on their video screens.

I couldn't care less about the light show lol. I saw them a couple years ago and the only regret I have is I didn't get to see them before they got so huge that the only shows they now do are super stadium tours. I would love to see them in a smaller venue, standing room only and get up close to them. I need to see Danny drumming more clearly!

I love both the smaller and bigger venues to be honest with you. I'm one of the lucky ones who got to see these amazing musicians in a smaller venue 20 years ago, before the elaborate, super awesome light shows became a thing and yes, it was really special. The smaller venues are much more up close and personal. Having said that, I also love the majesty and the awesomeness of the arena shows as well. Either way you're in for an incredible, magical, unforgettable night. By the way, Adam Jones recently gave an interview to a UK Metal mag where he talked about the band looking into playing smaller venues. You might just get your wish 😊😊
