The upsweaps as ill call them are just changed and dont fit the doctor who intro/theme at all. I know that doctor who was supposed to be mysterious but this is too mysterious.

those effects have been used in the opening theme from '67 all the way to '79. back in '67s opening, those spangles were a very fitting touch.
