It wasn't just scp-079 by itself, like chat says.
@@tformerdude6788 not according to the wiki and the time stamps on relevant lore documents scp-106 is reported to breach containment at 9:21 am (Incident Report SCP-106-0204), and at the same time a message is sent to Dr. Maynard saying "it's out". He then replies "proceeding" (Dr. Maynard's Monitor) and then between 9:22 to 9:24 is when the dialogue between him and scp-079 happens (scp-079's monitor). scp-106 then gets recaptured at 9:36. it's just a minute at most between the two incidents, but 106 was clearly first.
my dude, 106s breach didn’t affect 079s breach, 079 breached 173 and 049 and other SCPs while 106 has no control over the doors, he can walk through matter but not override them like 079. Just because he breached does not affect the others, maybe maynard wanted to breach 106 first, but that had nothing to do with Maynard breaching 079, who breached the other SCPs like 173, that’s what was the problem with the door control in the very first part of the game 106 may have been the first to breahc, but he is not the cause of the other scps
might be because i dont like how scp cb is, but scp sl is better, its basically scp cb but focussed on the multiplayer, and quality over quantity, so less scps but stronger ones you can control and spawn as

The nuke ending at gate B is pretty scary because the audio afterward means that 682 survived and adapted to the nuke; which means that nothing that humans have made can stop 682’s rampage. At that point the only thing the Foundation can resort to is using some sort of thaumiel SCP to try to permanently contain 682 or (unlikely) destroy him
I think that one of the only possibilities would be to trap 682 in 106's dimension. But the problem would be that larry wants chaos and murder so he would just let 682 out without killing it
There is a common misconception going around, that Markiplier was the one that coined the name "Radical Larry". I thought so too until I rewatched his playthrough recently. The thing is, that Mark, in the first 5 episodes (0,1,2,3,4) doesn't call him Larry even once and doesn't even really realize who/what he is. Yet only 1 1/2 months after first playing the game, and only 11 days after uploading the first numbered episode (1), in episode 5 Mark finds the exact note same note in which he is referred to as Larry that Insym found. Mark sadly did not give him the name Radical Larry, but he did make the name (and even game) popular. So that counts.
Regarding why SPC 860-01 (blue key monster) didn't "chase you" the second time you went in is because it's time-based; The chances of you running into him are higher the you stay inside. * The first time you went in, you found some notes on the ground and lost time by reading it. (That + a wrong turn) * When you went in the second time, you had the gas mask on and sprinted through it. Funnily enough tho, you had the EXACT same reaction during your first play though lol

i have mononucleosis right now, a very severe and rare case. it has affected my liver heavily and i can’t eat or drink water without vomiting. yeah, it sucks. but there’s nothing better than being able to cuddle up in my sheets and watch/listen to/fall asleep to a four hour insym video. thank you, insym!
This is how thorough I wish everyone's playthrough could be but, it's such an old game that will never be bug free and that only deters people who can at least get through the beginning of the game with Peanut, 106 and 049 constantly attacking you. Still, I love this game so much and all the TLC from the community afterwards. P.S. I think it's pretty lame that the guy who made Peanut really went out of his way to strike the made up stories website. IMO the sculpture will never get more love than SCP-173!
I've honestly put off watching playtroughs of this game multiple times because the story was pretty hard to follow and the progression was confusing. The game is interesting but it seems that it was not really made for people fresh in the scp fandom, but at least it was easier to watch Insym with his prior knowledge of the game.
It's unfortune that the SCP reports in the game don't have 2nd pages - the very next sentence in the actual SCP -1033-RU article explains that the cost of the Bracelet's operation is your blood, and it only cares about heavy/lethal damage to the wearer. It learns and optimizes its protection methods against the same source to cost less blood with repeated exposure, but when it's never seen the damage source before, it can easily drain 100% of your blood, which is still lethal.
2:11:35 I think SCP 049 was standing right in back Insym, you can hear his voice line and footsteps and you can even see on the navigator that he's standing next to him, the bracelet was protecting him but it didn't matter in the end since SCP 173 finished the job

Well as an astrophysicist, let me chime in - 3 months late - on the matter of antimatter and black holes from ~2:31:00: You are absolutely correct in that a black hole from SCP-294 would devastate humanity. Key here is that it seems to dispense stuff to fill a 12 oz cup always, so I would assume it goes by volume. Roughly filling such a cup with a black hole would result in one of ~7*10^25 kg of mass, roughly 11 times the mass of earth. It would not suck in all of earth right away mind you - black holes have a limit of how fast they can suck in (fancy term: accrete) matter called the "Eddington accretion limit" - but. Yeah, earth would be done for. For a 12 oz of anti-matter the energy released depends on the substance. Assuming a 12 oz cup of liquid anti-hydrogen (as per the SCP site, the machine can't dispense anti-water, so no anti-molecules most likely, and it always dispenses liquid) would have a density of ~71 g/L, so we would get about 25 grams of the stuff. Which would result in an annihilation releasing about 4.5*10^15 Joule of energy, or about 1000 kilotons of TNT-equivalent (500 times the explosive power of the Fat Man nuclear bomb, to simplify). Which is a lot, but it's not "black hole of 11 earth masses" lot. I assume the "30 meter radius" is caused by some hasty research on the topic (to not waste too much time on a silly lil bit like that): The general rule-of-thumb is that an average stellar black hole at 10 solar masses has a Schwarzschild radius of about 30 kilometers, so I would assume someone saw that and put it in, not really understanding metric units and not understanding that a black hole isn't just an explosion of that size or that singularities can't/shouldn't exist without an event horizon (if at all), etc etc. But hey, it's just a silly bit. And the devastating power of the cup of antimatter seems underestimate as well, imo.

For a black hole not to destroy the Earth upon its creation, it would have to be incredibly small. For example, a penny-sized black hole would have the mass equivalent to that of the Earth and after its creation, it would slowly work on eating the planet from the inside. Extremely tiny black holes, however, would not be able to sustain themselves and would evaporate over time. I honestly don't really know enough to tell you any more than that, however.

That is not true. I thought so too for years, but after rewatching his scp playthrough recently, I noticed that he never once called him Larry (in fact, he didnt even really know what he was yet) in episodes 0,1,2,3 and 4. Yet in episode 5 Mark himself picked up the exact note you are referring to. 10 days after he properly started the "numbered" playthrough, and only 1 1/2 months after he first played the game. So no, Mark is not the origin of the name.

My theory on this is that while heavy containment is meant for the riskier and more dangerous anomalies, the only thing that can deal with containment breaches are MTF squads. so by putting it closer to the surface, they can reach it faster

It just occurred to me. Perhaps the reason the player is so good at navigating the facility is because the character you play as have been through this shit before but was amnestisized. Your body and brain still remembers, but your memory itself has been mostly wiped. Like imagine you are tasked with doing something repeatedly for a million times then you have your memory wiped. Your body will instinctively try to do it, your sense of deja vu tells you that you are familiar with it somewhere while the rest of your brain has been battle hardened for doing that specific task. Say you are instructed to keep one eye on scp 173 at all times. Your body and head will reflexively turn to it, you are unusually talented at controlling your eye movement, when they close and not and you have this dreadful feeling that something bad will happen if you don't look at it. You do NOT remember any previous encounters with the scp, but your survival instincts know exactly what to do with perfection. So you, the class D, your memories start from scratch, your body and survival instincts are masterfully crafted
Well the character was a researcher demoted to d class personnel and then (depending on the ending) pending possible scp status for their ability to survive every scenario they end up in (saving/loading.), so all that information would be in there somewhere just deeply buried.

It basically reworks Containment Breach to make it way better and scarier. It’s definitely worth it for you to check it out in my opinion. A new major update is coming out for the mod so it’s perfect timing.

"How does antimatter do more damage than a black hole?!" Because the size of the black hole determines it's strength, while antimatter sets off a massive explosion when it comes into contact with normal matter. The black hole you opened was about the size of your character's head, aka not that strong.
You should play all of the SCP mods. You would enjoy them. I recommend janitorial work and terror hunt to start. They are probably two of the scariest SCP mods in the community.

The nuke ending at gate B is pretty scary because the audio afterward means that 682 survived and adapted to the nuke; which means that nothing that humans have made can stop 682’s rampage. At that point the only thing the Foundation can resort to is using some sort of thaumiel SCP to try to permanently contain 682 or (unlikely) destroy him
I think that one of the only possibilities would be to trap 682 in 106's dimension. But the problem would be that larry wants chaos and murder so he would just let 682 out without killing it

There is a common misconception going around, that Markiplier was the one that coined the name "Radical Larry". I thought so too until I rewatched his playthrough recently. The thing is, that Mark, in the first 5 episodes (0,1,2,3,4) doesn't call him Larry even once and doesn't even really realize who/what he is. Yet only 1 1/2 months after first playing the game, and only 11 days after uploading the first numbered episode (1), in episode 5 Mark finds the exact note same note in which he is referred to as Larry that Insym found. Mark sadly did not give him the name Radical Larry, but he did make the name (and even game) popular. So that counts.

Regarding why SPC 860-01 (blue key monster) didn't "chase you" the second time you went in is because it's time-based; The chances of you running into him are higher the you stay inside.
* The first time you went in, you found some notes on the ground and lost time by reading it. (That + a wrong turn)
* When you went in the second time, you had the gas mask on and sprinted through it.
Funnily enough tho, you had the EXACT same reaction during your first play though lol

This is how thorough I wish everyone's playthrough could be but, it's such an old game that will never be bug free and that only deters people who can at least get through the beginning of the game with Peanut, 106 and 049 constantly attacking you. Still, I love this game so much and all the TLC from the community afterwards.
P.S. I think it's pretty lame that the guy who made Peanut really went out of his way to strike the made up stories website. IMO the sculpture will never get more love than SCP-173!
I've honestly put off watching playtroughs of this game multiple times because the story was pretty hard to follow and the progression was confusing. The game is interesting but it seems that it was not really made for people fresh in the scp fandom, but at least it was easier to watch Insym with his prior knowledge of the game.

It's unfortune that the SCP reports in the game don't have 2nd pages - the very next sentence in the actual SCP -1033-RU article explains that the cost of the Bracelet's operation is your blood, and it only cares about heavy/lethal damage to the wearer. It learns and optimizes its protection methods against the same source to cost less blood with repeated exposure, but when it's never seen the damage source before, it can easily drain 100% of your blood, which is still lethal.
2:11:35 I think SCP 049 was standing right in back Insym, you can hear his voice line and footsteps and you can even see on the navigator that he's standing next to him, the bracelet was protecting him but it didn't matter in the end since SCP 173 finished the job

At least that's what I understood from the warhead silo's documents.
yep they both blow up the area outside (the omega less so but still some since it has the 5 mile radius) but alpha is meant to keep underground safe

Well as an astrophysicist, let me chime in - 3 months late - on the matter of antimatter and black holes from ~2:31:00:
You are absolutely correct in that a black hole from SCP-294 would devastate humanity.
Key here is that it seems to dispense stuff to fill a 12 oz cup always, so I would assume it goes by volume.
Roughly filling such a cup with a black hole would result in one of ~7*10^25 kg of mass, roughly 11 times the mass of earth.
It would not suck in all of earth right away mind you - black holes have a limit of how fast they can suck in (fancy term: accrete) matter called the "Eddington accretion limit" - but.
Yeah, earth would be done for.
For a 12 oz of anti-matter the energy released depends on the substance. Assuming a 12 oz cup of liquid anti-hydrogen (as per the SCP site, the machine can't dispense anti-water, so no anti-molecules most likely, and it always dispenses liquid) would have a density of ~71 g/L, so we would get about 25 grams of the stuff.
Which would result in an annihilation releasing about 4.5*10^15 Joule of energy, or about 1000 kilotons of TNT-equivalent (500 times the explosive power of the Fat Man nuclear bomb, to simplify).
Which is a lot, but it's not "black hole of 11 earth masses" lot.
I assume the "30 meter radius" is caused by some hasty research on the topic (to not waste too much time on a silly lil bit like that):
The general rule-of-thumb is that an average stellar black hole at 10 solar masses has a Schwarzschild radius of about 30 kilometers, so I would assume someone saw that and put it in, not really understanding metric units and not understanding that a black hole isn't just an explosion of that size or that singularities can't/shouldn't exist without an event horizon (if at all), etc etc. But hey, it's just a silly bit.
And the devastating power of the cup of antimatter seems underestimate as well, imo.

For a black hole not to destroy the Earth upon its creation, it would have to be incredibly small. For example, a penny-sized black hole would have the mass equivalent to that of the Earth and after its creation, it would slowly work on eating the planet from the inside. Extremely tiny black holes, however, would not be able to sustain themselves and would evaporate over time. I honestly don't really know enough to tell you any more than that, however.

The note warning against calling 106 "Radical Larry" isn't the origin of the name itself, it's an added reference to Markiplier's original Containment Breach playthrough where he came up with the nickname along with Peanut for 173.

My theory on this is that while heavy containment is meant for the riskier and more dangerous anomalies, the only thing that can deal with containment breaches are MTF squads. so by putting it closer to the surface, they can reach it faster

It just occurred to me. Perhaps the reason the player is so good at navigating the facility is because the character you play as have been through this shit before but was amnestisized. Your body and brain still remembers, but your memory itself has been mostly wiped. Like imagine you are tasked with doing something repeatedly for a million times then you have your memory wiped. Your body will instinctively try to do it, your sense of deja vu tells you that you are familiar with it somewhere while the rest of your brain has been battle hardened for doing that specific task. Say you are instructed to keep one eye on scp 173 at all times. Your body and head will reflexively turn to it, you are unusually talented at controlling your eye movement, when they close and not and you have this dreadful feeling that something bad will happen if you don't look at it. You do NOT remember any previous encounters with the scp, but your survival instincts know exactly what to do with perfection. So you, the class D, your memories start from scratch, your body and survival instincts are masterfully crafted
Well the character was a researcher demoted to d class personnel and then (depending on the ending) pending possible scp status for their ability to survive every scenario they end up in (saving/loading.), so all that information would be in there somewhere just deeply buried.

It basically reworks Containment Breach to make it way better and scarier. It’s definitely worth it for you to check it out in my opinion. A new major update is coming out for the mod so it’s perfect timing.

Because the size of the black hole determines it's strength, while antimatter sets off a massive explosion when it comes into contact with normal matter.
The black hole you opened was about the size of your character's head, aka not that strong.
You should play all of the SCP mods. You would enjoy them. I recommend janitorial work and terror hunt to start. They are probably two of the scariest SCP mods in the community.
