      How do you enter crypto on your spreadsheet?

    Mr. Berger, Thanks for the information. After following your instructions. Upon entering new stocks everything went fine, except from 'Expense Ratio to Returns' columns. Why? the cut or copy paste function of the 'google finance formulas' do not process. I cannot find how to insert expense ratio formulas, etc. why?
    Is there some instructions on getting these values to populate into the sheet after entering new stocks?
    Please.

    How do I input a target date fund from my 401k for the company I work for (it does not have a ticker). The Fund Name is
    "Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Company Target
    Retirement 2050 Trust"

  • @JA-gb7dw

    How do you recommend adding a target date fund in this spreadsheet? I know this is an older video but i'll give it shot anyways :) The only thing I could think of is trying to add every ticker within the target date fund but not sure that data is entirely visible and likely changes frequently. Or, perhaps I should just omit those from the asset class worksheet as there really is no ability to re-balance within those accounts?

    Rob: The YTD figure does not seem to be accurate in the spreadsheet. Perhaps the formula has changed since it was originally created but I cannot figure out how to make it work correctly. It gives an inaccurate figure. Can you help?

    If I wanted to have track allocation % tracked for deferred and Roth separately and then the % for the entire portfolio , is there a way to modify your google sheet to achieve this?

  • @srconrad
    @srconrad 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Thanks again for publishing this spreadsheet, Rob! I've been using it since you first published it. I just watched the video and I had already done the rebalance modification you did at the end of the video. I added one more modification that users might like. Under My Target, cell D10 in your example, I summed up the percentages so that you can easily make sure they add up to 100%. "=SUM(D5:D9)" in your example.

    1. Shouldn't the "Category" column be shaded light green to match your format indicating it as a manual entry? 2. Is there a way to convert this to an Excel sheet and yet download prices, etc.? (Downloaded Google Sheets formulae don't translate into Excel :(

  • @patricks9663
    @patricks9663 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I just copied the spreadsheet .Thanks. But it doesn't have the change you made in this video where you added the Rebalance column. Is there another link that includes that change? Also, if I add more Asset Classes/Categories on the "Holdings" page, will their corresponding values be automatically picked up (for the allocation percentage calculations & pie charts) when I also add the additional Asset Classes to the "By Asset Class" page?

    Thank you so much Rob!
    I have been looking for a spreadsheet that is simple and yet flexible enough to personalise. This is perfect!
    I have a question though...
    With the international entries, do I have to adjust the figures myself to accommodate the exchange rate (which constantly changes)?

    Nice spreadsheet! I've created my own tracking tool but didn't know how to pull prices in, this is very helpful! I'm retired, cash flow is important to track...do you have a tool that can automatically pull in dividends so current yield on cost is available? Thanks! Gary

    Hi Rob, I have some mutual funds and ETFs that are asset allocation with 60/40 splits like VBIAX and AOR. I created a new category and named it Stocks and Bonds. Any recommendations on how to track this category along with the individual US Stocks, International Stocks and Bonds? Also I’m having problems getting the Weighted and YTD columns to work after I added all my extra rows. Thanks for any recommendations.

    Love this spreadsheet Rob, but I am finding that Google fails to bring in the referenced data quite often. Just one ticker symbol that doesn't load makes ALL the formulas on the Asset Class worksheet produce nothing but N/As. Have you encountered this issue?

    • @jj2138
      @jj2138 ปีที่แล้ว

      FYI...the formulas are correct, because sometimes the whole thing works perfectly........

    Hi, Rob!! Thanks for all the valuable content you put out for investors. Just incredible! Question for you, do you know if there are any online tools where you can plug in your portfolio and it will create a pie chart and show sectors/industry weightings based on current market value?

    Thanks for the video. In your spreadsheet, how do you categorize a fund like Vanguard Wellington which has US stock, International stock and bonds?

    • @rob_berger
      @rob_berger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to break it up into multiple rows. Same would be true with a target date retirement fund. Not ideal, but it can work.

    Hey Bob. New listener here but really like what I've seen so far. One thing I am looking for is software that will allow me to compare the "End of Plan" results for my current portfolio [which I get through Fidelity] to the results if I changed the allocation- maybe 1 more conservative and 1 more aggressive- over the next 20 years. Anything like that available to individual investors? Thanks.

    Thanks Rob - if I wanted to add the gain, I assume I could simple add two (or three) columns? Cost price, Gain/Loss, (Gain/Loss %)? Any tips or trip on how to do this?

    Hi Rob,
    I know you're not in the business of providing tech support to your audience, but I thought I would run by you an issue I'm having with the hopes that there's a straightforward answer. I spent many hours tweaking your spreadsheet to fit my situation, and at some point, my cells for GoogleFinance Name and Price returned "N/A". When I hover on a Price cell (for example), I get the message "When evaluating GoogleFInance, the query for the symbol ''EWX' returned no data."I thought this might have to do with the Lookup column. I'm not really sure what that column does - I have it in my spreadsheet, but don't really understand it. Perhaps you know of a couple of troubleshooting avenues I can take. Thanks, Rose

    • @rob_berger
      @rob_berger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just tried EWX and it worked for me. Make sure you don't have any extra characters in the ticker cell and that the Google Finance function is referencing the correct cell.
