    This is one of the best videos up to now. 👌👌✌. It is more human touch than ever before. The tank footage is so natural so sincere but is also superior at the same time compared to all the other similar aquascaping content.

    It looks so simple, but how difficult it is to keep the aquarium stable, if you manage it, it does not take more than 30 minutes for its weekly maintenance.

    Personnellement je prefere commencer par nettoyer les vitres puis ensuite la taille et je finis par le changement d'eau . Car cela permet de retirer toutes les particules d'algues petis morceaux de plantes et autres lors du changement d'eau .

    Is the "extender" button on the eheim always in that position instead of closed (turned to the left)? When opened you bypass the pre-filter.

    Man so much to say about this video! First of all, amazingly beautiful tank. The obvious plant health is impressive, the grouping and pairing is awesome.
    Your production quality is incredible, I'm curious to know what music this is? I always try to find the right mood of music to listen to while doing maintenance and I haven't been able to find the perfect playlist yet, I'd be very interested to know the name of the track.
    What are your tap parameters in your area? I'm east coast of the US, fairly soft water but I still use remineralized RODI because I think our chlorine and silicates are very high.
    I don't have enough skill to tackle Dutch yet, but I do like heavily planted; I'm curious if you ever vacuum your substrate periodically for some maintenance sessions? It's difficult being heavily planted, but your Dutch is even more heavily planted, if you do vaccum detritus I'd love to know what your process is like.
    Finally, the ending. I've watched so many videos and channels but this is the first time I've ever seen someone do the same thing I do after a heavy maintenance session--everything gets cleaned and put away and I get to just sit back in a dark room, and watch the tank and the ecosystem, just enjoy it for a little bit after all the works done. Love it brother, thank you very much for the video 🙏 subscribed

  • @Kapybaraaa

    Hello, do you keep the intake on the back side for aesthetic purposes only or is it actually better for circular flow?
    I have outflow and intake both next to each other in the front. I was afraid there are dead spots between the intake in back and outflow in front with your setup. I have stunted growth so I'm open to trying new setup.

    What is your kh gh and ph I’m my water changed recently and I’m wondering if will affect my plants
    I used to have unknown kh gh but a nice ph of 7 right out of my tap but now it’s gh 12 kh 10 ph 7.4 I am now injecting co2 to try to correct it but I could only get it down to 7.2. I don’t understand my plants used to look awesome low tech now I can barely keep some alive.

    Hi, Do you have videos on how to maintain the reds? I tried creating a dutch tank but I can't keep the plants red. Most of them are turning Pink, and Green. I'm dosing all in one micro and all in one macro, and also iron and potassium. I just follow the dosing instructions of my fertz. My TDS is also close to yours and using tap water.

    • @samg1879
      @samg1879 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may already know this information, but low to zero nitrates and high light turns plants super red. I'm still fairly new to high tech tanks but my ludwigia and alternanthera are almost as dark red as this video. You could try a zero nitrate fertiliser like APT zero which is what I'm using after growing my plants up. As long as you have fish your plants should get the small amount of nitrates they need through fish waste/feeding/tap water. But again, I am fairly new so I recommend doing your own research on that, I don't want to melt everyones plants haha, but just though it'd be a good idea for anyone else looking!

    • @Tropictank
      @Tropictank  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zero nitrates? So what’s going to happen to rest of the plants none red plants?

    • @samg1879
      @samg1879 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tropictank Very true, perhaps low nitrates was better to say. I have quite a few fish in my tank so nitrates arent something I worry about too much, and do use root tabs in parts of the tank where there aren't any red plants, but still got on well without them. But if you have an ok level of stocking then my thoughts were you don't need to add a heavy load of nitrates through fertilisers ontop of that, especially if your tap water has nitrates too? Still as I say I'm fairly new and am always looking for information, and figured I'd pass it on as a starting point, less a guide! :)

    hey sir this is Shawn, and I’m new to planted tank. I had a question abt why my plants are growing slow? I got co2 injections of 1 bps,a 35watt led light external filter and daily dose fertiliser of 2 Hr aquarist APT complete. The tank is abt 2 months old. Is it because they still getting used to the water condition? Or I need stronger light? ( the light 2 years old) right now is summer time, will that ve the reason?

    • @shrimpfatheruk8599
      @shrimpfatheruk8599 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd increase the co2 amount just a touch more. Some plants are a little slower in general as some are grown out of water and take time to transition to submerse growth. So loads of factors to probably why. But I'd increase the co2 and go from there
