Absolutely love Seattle and the surrounding area. Even have a tattoo of Mt. Rainier on my back. Nothing like the skyline with the mountain in the background anywhere else in the world. We'll have to give that Roastery a try next time were there.

As soon as I saw the title, it brought back some amazing 90’s memories!!! I did “not get” Tom Green at first(I was like 11 or 12 when he came on MTV), but then I realized he was my type of person 😊. Seriously ahead of his time. If I had the money, I would probably build my own vhs store just like this one! My area sadly puts most vhs on the curb 🙄. I rescue it when I can, sell what’s worth something, and then donate the rest. Some stuff only came out on vhs, especially old skate videos so many still want it but also appreciate it ;)

The rain in Seattle here is more of a constant light sprinkle except for a few winter storms so it's spread out for months and months leading to many dark days and overcast which does set a mood. Some like it some hate it and even after living in Seattle for 15 years I have mixed feelings. Even Idaho has many more sunny days even with colder winter so people seem a bit happier. It's hard to grow vegetables in a garden and even fruit trees have a lot of problems so if you like growing things it's hard too. I hate hot weather so I do love Seattle for that but the darkness does get to you after a while.
I lived in Seattle for 24 long, sad, gray, cold, depressing years. Sure it may rain more in other cities, but they get SUNSHINE other than a tiny bit in the summer. Seattle is VERY, VERY, VERY, DEPRESSING!! I barely got out alive!!
I really enjoyed the ghost tour in Seattle this past fall. I had a nasty cold but got some meds and felt better. I was determined to go on the ghost tour with a guide. Very cool. Seattle is a fun town and a great place to visit. Saw the Seahawks and Mariners too. Space Needle was super cool too. Monorail was fun to ride.

It was finally torn down though and is now part of the employee parking lot I believe. Adam,Scarecrow has been around since mid 80s. The original owner used to do things like take trips to Japan just to get rare tapes/laserdiscs worth hundreds$$. Kurt Cobain and Courtney love used to go in there,Roger Ebert,David Lynch etc.. It's probably the most well stocked video store in the entire country.

Today I do - there is a Starbucks Roasting Plant in my town of Minden, Nevada in the Carson Valley (25 minutes from Lake Tahoe, 45 minutes south of Reno) It opened January 5, 2003 and was their third after those in Kent, WA and York, PA. The log is in reference to The Log Lady from Twin Peaks. If you travel east out of Seattle, you’ll reach Snoqualmie Falls. It’s one of the spots where they filmed parts of the series and film.

Hi Adam, I’ve been enjoying your travels for a couple of years, but I never had anything relevant to add. Today I do - there is a Starbucks Roasting Plant in my town of Minden, Nevada in the Carson Valley (25 minutes from Lake Tahoe, 45 minutes south of Reno) It opened January 5, 2003 and was their third after those in Kent, WA and York, PA. Well, that’s my 2 cents.
