Wow, those stairs were really a great location for some action! Almost every character went tumbling down on them!! Maybe the Carringtons should have invested in an elevator? Then again...I can see the elevator doors shutting on Blake's neck already! And Krystle getting stuck in it. And the elevator malfunctioning with the whole cast inside, and they end up crashing deep inside an underground tunnel that led to a world of beasts of the dark. And...okay, I'll shut up now.

Women falling down stairs is an omen for the end of a marriage and therefore the end of the line for a particularly dynastic family. It also signals a kind of biblical descent into hell for the "Eve" falling down them. Poor people may have stairs or humble steps in their hovels but not grand stairCASES and certainly they wouldn't be spacious or sweeping enough to conduct long transitional scenes on them. My favorite stair scene was when Alexis was standing at the top of the stairs telling Blake who was standing down below with Krystal that she now owned his house by buying all of his Carrington shares! As she tossed Krystal's fur coats down below, she told Blake to take his junk including his blond tramp and get out of her house! Loved it!
All that Evil...Nasty B...h...Alexis ever wanted was that showplace mansion to show off and entertain in. When she eventually lied in a Court of Law to get it. I believe all of the children moved out except for Adam...because he was vicious and evil just like her...and than when the truth came out she was forced to leave. What I don't understand, is in the Dynasty Reunion of 1991...wasn't the Mansion up for sale or auction. Why didn't she grab it then if she wanted it so badly...or had she burned through all the Colby Billions by then. I noticed she had downgraded her car from a Rolls Royce to a Lincoln by then!!!
Such a beautifully over the top show. The filthy rich over acting while having every soap opera staple in the book thrown at them. You couldn't beat it.
The real stairs in the real "Filoli" are the opposite way around. They run up the left side of the wall and across the top. Check out the Pilot Episode of Dynasty where apparently all the interiors were the real "Filoli" and not sets.
@@Inyourlap I am aware of this only in Pilot but they still changed the location and the size of the staircase,in the first 3 Seasons the Staircase was not across the Entrance it was at end of the hallway like in the real house....btw all staircase scene in this vid are on the soundstage coz Filoli has the staircase at the opposite.
What a cliffhanger to season 9 Blake in mortal danger, Fallon number two and Krystina trapped in a mineshaft and Alexis and Dex fall off the balcony at The Carlton Hotel The reunion was an abomination David Paulsen should have written that because the continuity was shot to hell when the original 'team' came back

First they shot in the real Filoli house (the one shown in the opening credits). For season 2, they built a dedicated staircase and all the sets.
