I have a list of Dark Shadows cast members circa 1971 with all their home addresses. 90% of them lived in mid-town Manhattan apartments (of course- they wanted to WALK to work!) . Louis Edmonds lived way out on Long Island (Setauket) . One of the cast lived in Greenwich Village (forgot which one-- MAY have been Joel Crothers?). This was a xerox of an inner-office memo to send them Christmas cards OR gift baskets. I had no idea the Dark Shadows studio space later became home to All My Children . I had one friend who's dad worked for the city Dept. of Public Works. One snowy winter night , he assisted a car pulled over to the side that was stuck in a snow bank . the driver of the car , was none other than Jonathan Frid still in Barnabas make up ! He was trying to "beat the snow" as it was coming down and had to be somewhere outside of the city .
How fascinating! I love stories like these about meeting actors! Thank you for sharing this! ~Janet in Canada P. S. Did you know that Jonathan Frid was Canadian? He was born in Hamilton, Ontario!
what a cool story i went to several ds festivals and got to meet lara parker kathryn leigh scott marie wallace terry crawford and many more i even won a hat in an auction that was owned by michael stroka that was signed by a bunch of cast members including david selby and sharon smyth. what a thrill.
I used to run home after school growing up during the 1960's/1970's @ 04:00 PM to watch Dark Shadows. And I can't remember most of these episodes. It's fun tuning in here seeing this. They Say that you can't go back in time, but this is as close as it gets. 🕒 🦇
I had a little girl in Hoboken nj,use to see dark shadows all the time after school, she even brought the album of the music of dark shadows. She truly enjoyed it.
In this episode, LT Forbes tries to kill Barnabas with a bow & arrow, & thinks it has struck him in the heart but misses. So Barnabas took revenge on LT Forbes & strangled him. Barnabas begs his father Jushua to shoot him with six silver bullets. Later on, Vicki's execution begins. Once she's being hung, the mystery woman was at the 1968 Collinwood during the seance. All of a sudden, Vicki is being sucked back to 1968 time alive but weak. That is sooo BIZARRE & the mystery lady also sucked back to 1795, This part made my cat's ears up like an owl🦉too. When Vicki woke up, she saw Barnabas (different from the "other" Barnabas) again.
I'd still like to know how the Collins family didn't die out if Barnabas was the only son of Joshua and Naomi. Did he remarry and father more children after Naomi died or was there another branch of the family like the one Millicent was came from?
@@crystalalcairo3751 Daniel Collins and his sister Millicent were cousins of Joshua from New York; their parents were deceased. They came to Collinwood for the Barnabas/Josette nuptials and never went back to New York. After Barnabas & Sarah died (and after Millicent lost her marbles), Joshua adopted Daniel as his son.
i remember skipping school so i could see that episode where barnabus killed nathan forbes. the episode where barnabus got shot with the arrow was a friday episode. i faked being sick after lunch on the monday so i could be home to see the monday episode! thats devotion!
That Naomi would take her own life from grief was so sad. She was a kind and compassionate woman. Too bad she couldn't count on Joshua to console her. Such a hard man.
Hit it, Miss Nancy Bennett!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell it like it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 1795 is about to end!!!!!!!! Miss Victoria Winters is going back to time!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's now going back to 1968.
Yes, that was a rough set of deaths for Joshua. I appreciated the tender scene between Joshua and Barnabas about all of those who had suffered and died, as well as Millicent who was insane. This was their last encounter before Barnabas was locked in the coffin.

That was a scene that stuck with me for years!
Trask needed to suffer more.

Ok, so that's what happened; Joshua adopted a boy named Daniel who I'm guessing was his nephew.
Daniel was Millicent's brother. Joshua took care of both of them.@@crystalalcairo3751

Poor Phyllis Wyck just popped-up in time to die.
Beautiful Alexandra Moltke is of Danish and ( get this) Italian background by grandfather!!

So dramatic putting it all together 1795 was very cursed very sad very horrifying for the Collins family.
Thank you, Anne. I always appreciate your comments.
Anjelique!!!
Would have loved seeing Millicent as a vampire😍
Ms. Barrett would have had a blast with that.
And her first victim would have been young David
Where did thhe Cross on His Coat Come from? Can Someone tell Me?

if she had all these powers as they said why did she allow herself to be hanged?

i wonder how much that rooster got paid!
Lol, there was a woman that worked with me at the grocery store. She was named after Josette.
Note to self: no DS clips just before lying down for a nap. I dreamed that Joshua Collins was pursuing me and he had murder in his eye!
The look on Barnabas' face at 3:15 is the same a teenager has when caught making out by her parents.

Thank you. Just a little oops. It is Nancy Barrrett.
I'd LOVE TO GO BACK TO 1968 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He lost all his beloveds in b4 his very eyes

Ben always got the dirty work and had to bury Forbes. Wonder where his final resting place was?
