    I have a Onkyo Integra DRX-2 with similar issue, loud clciking noise (like a relay) and now i'm thinking you're right. cold solder joints.

    I had the same trouble with my Pioneer AVR VSX 933 and i noticed the amp got very hot after prolonged use. I looked and found some AC Infinity cooling options on Amazon and found the clicking noise stopped when the Pioneer remained cool...so before you go cracking open your amplifier try and see if a cooling option will solved your problem...

      1no of 120mm fan & an adapter would be much cheaper & enough for that. I did the same. Check my other video.

      @techno boy didn't need no adapter and the dual 120mm fans are USB powered. Fortunately there are 2 USB ports on my Pioneer VSX-933

    You have "reassembled" it all? What do you mean? What have you actually done? Have you actually "re-soldered" it? Reassemble actually means unscrew and rescrew.

      Yes. Its not that tough. Just slowly go step by step & remember the connections. Better you make a video while removing the components. Then it would be easy to reassamble it.

    My very new Denon X3800H is sometimes clicking with no reason. Low volume internet radio stream on only 2-speaker stereo. I think I will return it.

    So I have two pioneer receivers with the same problem, one channel keeps coming in and out. When I cycle the receiver on and off or just tap on the side it usually kicks back in. Should I be looking for cold solder joints at the relays? These receivers are from the mid 90's.

    Was the clicking sound heard in the speakers or just from the relays in the receiver?

    • @technoboy-allinOne
      @technoboy-allinOne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you hear any noise coming from speaker,thats different issue. In this case clicking noise coming from the receiver while its on.

    I have need a 12v trigger out on vsx 932. How I can do it? Can you help me?

    • @technoboy-allinOne
      @technoboy-allinOne  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      12v trigger out from your receiver. Open it & find a 12v dc connection from the side control board. Connect wires & take them out.

    That clicking noise is just part of the way Onkyo / Pioneer amps work.
    how can you fix something that is designed that way.

    • @technoboy-allinOne
      @technoboy-allinOne  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      When its turned on thats the sound of power relay.then after a sec thats the sound of output speaker relays. Thats it. Except this if its having continus clicking noise when its running thats the fault. No receiver was made or works that way. Its a fault that started after few years. They definetly didnt come to my house after few years to make it work that way. I think u didnt watch the full video & didnt understand either. Anyway thanks for the visit.

      Not sure about what kind scratching noise you are talking about.
      When do you hear it. Is it coming from the speaker or the receiver itself?

      The receiver was completely disconnected from main power outlet. Then i used a 9v volt battery to check the clicking sound.

      Then it has either the potentiometer problem or the controller chip problem. Clean the mode selection potentiometer with cleaner spray
