You're right about being able to express yourself with needle minders. My favorite is a frog with googly eyes. If I see someone stitching, I can tell a lot about them based on what they're stitching and the needle minder on the project. I'm so addicted to buying them that that my refrigerator is covered with them. There's a silly magnet to hold every family picture.
Nice video. One tool I keep in my stitching supplies is tweezers. Every now and then I might get my dogs' hair on a project despite being extremely careful, and they are nice to just pull off those strands that might get tangled in the thread, or if my thread tails come loose on the back.
Just found you this morning. Loved your video. I have a pair of Fiskers scissors with a bent tip so I can cut close to my fabric and not cut a whole in it. I use floss away bags to store my floss in. When I’m working on a project, I pull my colors l, transfer them into small snack bags that I have put a hole in and I put them on a large ring by number so I can find them easily. If I’m running low as I’m working on my project, I just go p
Pull another skein from my floss away baggie and make myself a nite to replace that color. Some colors you use more often, so when it is on sale-I stock up!!
Super snip mini scissors are great for travelling. The blades are short and so you can usually take them on a plane. Lakeside needlecraft in the UK sell them I believe
Nice video. My must have for travel is seam ripper. I use it instead of scissors. I’ve never had any issues getting on a flight with them and you can get really close to the fabric to cut the thread
Hi, I was stitching while I listened to you so I'm not sure if I may have missed you mentioning it. It is a Snag-Nab-It. If the threads aren't laying quite right. you can push this in once you have stitched the area and it will make the stitches lay much nicer. I am a gridder, so I also like the markers to grid it myself. Also a fan of the Corner guides and the cloth counters when I'm gridding the aida. Look forward to your next Flosstube! :)

That was a great tip, think I need to get a pair of tweezers too!
Yes you can make another video tool so I can try them out. I have a lot of flosses
I like to keep a seem ripper handy for when the 🐸 shows up 🤣
I only used my seam ripper on cross stitch once, and I ended up with a hole in my fabric 🫣
@@marika.stitches Oh no! I guess there is always that possibility, unfortunately!
Of course I am late to the party. Just found you today but enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I’m always late to the party ;)
I enjoyed your thoughts on tools. Keep smiling.
OMG here you are!!!!! I didn't know about this channel, but I instantly subscribed when I saw your face. Thank you, Marika!!!! xoxo.
Aww! ❤️
I can recommend Cohana scissors and the BenQ floor lamp. I have been able to take up cross stitching again thanks to the BenQ lamp.
Thanks for the tip!

Oh I heard about the snag-nab-it but haven’t tried it. Corner guide and cloth counters are awesome things, but mostly just use my measuring band :)
Great tool video I always like hearing about what others use ( p.s sorry i'm a bit behind with your videos)
Thank you! And don’t be sorry that you are behind, I’m just very happy that you like me videos enough to watch them :) ❤️
💜💜💜
What projects names do you have
Hi! I’m really sorry but I don’t understand your question? Could you clarify please?
I store your floss pretty close to yours
In the US Clover cutters are actually banned for flying, if the TSA agent recognizes what it is
Oh! Well then I won’t bring that next time I fly to the states, thank you !
My name was called as the winner of the purple fabric, YAY. I dont have Instagram though so is there another way I can pass on my address to you??
Saw your message on Etsy, that was super clever :) thank you for making it easy on me :)
