    Some great tips there.
    I’ve discovered zipped craft/ knitting bags made from lovely materials that I haven’t spotted any flosstubers using yet. They’re slighter larger than the typical project bags, with a bottom to them, so I can fit my 17 inch long Q snap frames inside, along with any patterns or even full kit packages. I’ve bought mine on Amazon, and at around £15-18 each they’re cheaper than the smaller vinyl front project bags that I’ve bought. I keep each project on a Q snap, but there’s no risk of creasing or squashed stitches as I always use one big enough for the whole project - my Mirabilia Q snap is 24x14 inches (that’s kept on my lowery stand).
    I only have one pair of stitching scissors! I have a stitching case which is home to my scissors and other stitching tools, and I grab that along which whichever project bag I need.

      Ooooh, I think I know the type of bags you mean and they do look fab! Those are some big Q-snaps! It sounds ideal though to keep from getting squashed stitches 😄 I am a bit of a magpie when it comes to scissors...I can't resist yet another cute pair 😂

    Hi Kat! Several Flosstubes ago you talked about Amazon zippered project bags. I picked up on that and ordered a package of them - GAME CHANGER!!! As I have about 12 or 13 WIP’s it has been perfect for storage. No more frustration looking for bits & pieces!! Thank You…as you know, I’m a huge fan of you, your videos & your Mum❤. Sending love, Dianne

    I was keeping my WIP fabric rolled up in postal tubes, but storing these was cumbersome after watching so many Flosstubers folding their projects into their project bags, I thought I was worrying over nothing and started folding. After watching this I think I will go back to rolling. If you come up with any ingenious and hopefully space-saving storage ideas please let us know. Happy Stitching ☺

      I agree...postal tubes could end up taking up a lot of space, especially if you have a lot of WIPs. I am hoping that I can find a box that is a good size to take all my rolls of fabric for my WIPs and pop them all in together...but some of the fabric rolls are really long! I will keep you posted!

      Hi Lynsey, it's so lovely to hear from you! And so fab that you are coming back to cross stitch; it's such a common story I hear about stitchers taking a break but coming back to it. I'm so happy to hear my videos are helpful and do get in touch if you ever have any questions or sugegstions for topics 😄🩷

    Get a friend to cut the letters out to apply to the clear plastic. Embroider or get tags made up for your project bags. I need to chat with my daughter. I'm sure we can come up with a tag from her scraps.

    Hello Karen. It’s such a joy to watch you. Thank you. As you were showing the quilt top behind you I kept getting the vibe of sailing flags although I know they aren’t. With that said I wondered if designs of rope, anchors, waves and pebbles would be an option for the quilt stitching. What ever you settle on it will turn out beautifully as they always do. Till next time take care.

    Another great tip video. As far as pets go, I have been keeping my projects in a covered bin when not stitching, but one day I got called away, and thinking I would only be gone a minute, I did not put my stitching away or cover it. I ended up leaving it longer and when I got back, I found my hoop in pieces and my fabric elsewhere. Fortunately it was only a bit slobbered on from her getting the hoop off! She also has gotten my threads and actually chewed a skein in half! And I have also had a needle rust mark🫨

      Oh dear! 🐶🫣 I've had times I've had a project spread out on the coffee table, and needed to leave the room for a few minutes. I look at my cat sternly and tell her not to touch it. 😂 I don't trust her for more than a few minutes, though.

    • @catkinandlillie
      @catkinandlillie  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh no Kathy, that must have been a nightmare...at least until you realised your project was safe if a bit damp! I'm glad only the hoop was ruined. Chewing through a skein is a pretty impressive achievement 😂 I would love to have a dog some day in the future so may have to make sure I take all my own advice!

      I have an image if this in my head now which is amusing me no end 😂 Olive the cat who sometimes visits us is mostly disinterested in my stitching but yeah, I don't know that I would trust her in the same room as it without me also being present...you never know!

      hello stichie friends I am new to the craft. from Virginia Just got my frist pattern as a chistmas give last year. I work on one proget at a time but I learn from you it is ok to work on more than one at a time. I plan to start working on a new pattern for christmas, will see how that goes😂. I have taken to put my WIP in container in Zip lock bags😊

      I learned with a hoop as a kid with embroidery…when I started counted cross stitch about 24 to 25 yrs old I had started with a split rail 😂 and have advanced from that to even stitch in hand with sewing method. 😂 I always love your videos. How are you handling 20 wips do you miss having half that much? I am down to about 7. I had to UFO my dragon 🐉 I am not going to frog that much on that kit. Very nice tips. Just got your mini plan and record project card pdf. Very affordable and a much neater alternative to scribbling the info on my pdfs of projects, which I admit to doing. I’ll just clip your card to the pattern after I’m done. Thank you!
