Hello.I'm a senior (71).I always thought that toddlers were 2-3 yrs old.I taught junior kindergarten for over 30 yrs.Littles don't need a ruler, pencil case and scissors. They might cut some other kids hair.😍Thank you for a lot of good ideas.🥰🇨🇦🥰
I think they do need it because they will grow and go to school and might not get another box so this helps them have school supplies for when that time comes.
Thank you, Pamela! I’m thrilled to be able to send shoeboxes. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the faces of the children when they open their boxes? Maybe in heaven, there will be instant replay. 😆
Hope you are feeling better. Praying that you will have a wonderful packing party! How great to be able to finish 20 boxes in a day! And everyone at the party will be able to learn from your superb packing techniques!!!
We always use PLASTIC boxes so the kids have a long term place to keep their things. The cardboard looks like short term before it becomes - well, like cardboard does!
@@vintagehomemaker9338 But doent that get removed that when they open the box to check the contents? (If not we may use your idea ourselves) Thank you for the suggestion.
@@frederickwise5238 you would want to wrap the top and the bottom separately so that you can still open the gift -- it is a nice thing, but not needed.

Is there a toddler boy or 12-14 boy box example anywhere? I saw on their website that those are the least they get so I’m trying to pack at least one of each this year.
some suggestions for boys -- tshirts, shorts, baseball cap, winter hat / gloves / scarves, socks , sneakers, flip flops , sandals, toys - balls -- matchbox cars, puzzles, games, marbles (consider 2 sets so they can play with a friend) hair comb , soap , washcloth , pens, pencils, writing paper, crayons, markers, coloring book. these are some suggestions.
We got a tip years ago from someone who went to the packing center. For older boys, hand tools are helpful (older girls cooking & sewing items). We always pack & pray for our Shoebox Boy.🙏 This year hammer & nails, measuring tape, carpenter pencil, combo screwdriver, graph paper, notebooks, pencils & case, crayons, lego kit, harmonica, soft baseball, hat & soap washcloth, comb, toothbrush. Lil stuffed animal if will fit!❤🙏
I thought the same thing! Do 2-4 year olds need scissors and pencils in a pencil case?? There is a colouring book and crayons, which would be adequate?! I would keep the school supplies, including the ruler, for school aged kids!! I found these items a bit confusing
@@JoyPeace-ej2uv in Australia we are allowed to send shoeboxes that are no larger than an A4 page, or the pre printed ones which are smaller. So we don't have much space compared to what you in the US can pack. I've noticed your boxes are huge!! I'm just commenting on what we do here, with the limited space.
I’m shocked that you are able to pack scissors for the children! I have packed shoe boxes for 16 years, and always thought that was a no-no. Guess I was wrong?
I put scissors in for the school aged children, but not usually for the 2-4 year olds, except if the scissors are very blunt! If there is a colouring book and crayons, they wouldn't need scissors anyway
That was impressively crammed.
Thank you for your demonstration. You did a great job choosing items and packing. I’ve never seen such a great packing job!

My daughter did that to our little neighbor girl next door. They decided her bangs needed cutting. They were both about 4-5 years old at the time. 😅

Hooray for a full box with quality items that will last and last. I loved everything!!❤

Thank you for showing us how to pack an OCC shoebox, which really helped alot!!! It was awesome!!!
Super awesome! I'm suprised you managed to fit so much with such a big doll :)
I pack shoeboxes every year & it is my favorite way to start the Christmas season! You do a wonderful job! 😊 God bless you too! 🙏🏻
You did EXCELLENT Christy, proud of you! The little girl will Love you for thinking of her.
Great job filling the box to the max! 💕
Great items in all the colors of the rainbow 🙂 🌈
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I struggle every year trying to fit things into these little boxes!
Some great ideas, thank you!
I always wondered what would be best to put in the box. Now l know. Thank you 👍
Thanks for sharing this, I love the idea of packing scissors, my 2 and 4 year old use scissors almost daily, even just cutting grass is fun for them
Amazing what you have put into one box! Where are most things purchased from?

Thank you very much, Cindy. I’m definitely on the road to recovery. Praise God! I’m anxious to see how the packing party goes. 😊
I love the idea of the list and the disclaimer, really helpful ideas. 🙂
Well done. ♥️
My tip is to roll a tshirt up into the inside of a cup. Worked great for my male 10-14box last year!
Great space saving tip! Thank you ❤️
That was like putting a puzzle together.😀
My church doesn't distinguish boy or girl boxes so your ideas mostly helpful. About how much did it cost you?
I went to website and couldn't find a disclaimer. Could you share where I can find this? You did a fantastic job with your box!!!!!!!

How can I be involved?
Hey are makeup/cosmetics products like lip balm/ lip gloss safe to pack? Wanted to know because I’m making boxes for 10-14 y/o girls
Yes for lip balm. No for makeup.
What do think about beach balls ?
Beach balls aren’t my favorite thing to include because they don’t last long. Id rather send a more sturdy ball.
I put a tennis ball in, they would last the longest, especially for boys
Sexist? Girls play rough as well with tennis balls
Hi, I have a question can I just use a regular shoebox?
In Australia, it's suggested we can use a regular shoebox, with the lid no larger than an A4 page
Decorate the shoeboxes with pictures such as old Christmas and birthday cards, or cover with Christmas wrapping paper
@@margaretboehm4485 thank uuu
There are many poor children in our India, can you send us this gift box

yes! children of that age use them and then they have them for when they get older.
@@margaretboehm4485 I always assume siblings might get nothing and it hurts no one to include something which takes up such a small amount of space.

Blunt scissors are fine for toddlers.
School scissors for younger elementary age are usually BLUNT & past couple yrs I have seen them packaged also w/covers to protect the blades❣️
Thanks for your reply i was wondering. I have scissors for next years with daisys on
The child might also use the bandana as a placemat.
