As I grow in to the ages decades I played this for my girlfriends 12 yr old and had the conversation that reality is what you make it bud no one has ground to judge you life is meant to be lived
Its insane that he isn't! I live in Atlanta and im going to start promoting both Pip and Polarbear. Hopefully it will help get the recognition they so deserve.
I'm glad that pip's proving that you can in fact promote education and other good things through hip-hop. Rappers have really fucked things up for the past 10 years or so...good thing pip's here to fix things.
An exclamation mark or exclamation point is a punctuation mark: ! It is usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume, and often marks the end of a sentence.
I understand now that this song is talking about how expectations and life goals are thrust upon us at such a young age when we shouldn't really be thinking about stuff like that at that age. Becoming an "Astronaut" is another lofty goal that is unrealistic and probably not something we really want as kids.
@BritishUnion Than go all out for it man. Even if you dont make it theres a ton of jobs you can get from the qualifications of astronaut, I kinda wanted to be a test pilot myself but blew my shoulders at a young age.
for those of you who think dan le sac is just riding on the seraph of scroobius beard then listen to magicians assistant i think the balance is perfect for such a dark theme and the two compliment each other like no other pairing could
Sick beats man. I don't know much about how Pip gets along with collaborators, but I swear I caught some deference in LeSac v Pip. The line was something like "I'm not riding the beat, it is the beat that is riding me." That seems like a huge compliment to me. If he's saying that an artist can put together music that ties together his sometimes rambling lines, that's pretty impressive.
its not out CD but came out on lmt 7" (1000) and download on Sunday best. It's not on the album because its not a Dan le Sac track, its a YILA one Check HMV, itunes, amazon etc etc some links from my myspace too.. myspace/yila
Hey, I'd love to be able to crowd source but I have absolutely no experience with the financial side of things so I might not be the best person to handle a crowd source for something like this. However, if such a crowd source did come about I could see there being support for it. I'd donate without a second thought. Also, Distraction Pieces is one of my favorite albums. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Hey it was a joke really! I doubt it will ever happen, but thanks for your kind words!.. you can have a listen to my last album here open.spotify.com/album/5lMKIk9tgclAl35ys2qe2O
@FeedsNoSliesMusic Might be a roland synth axe, a little like the guy from pendulum plays (assuming you know of pendulum. he actually plays a Ztar, but the difference is mainly price.
@heatherrrsw All the vocalists on my tracks are noted as "featuring" and thats usually because I spend about 2 months working on the music, tweeking each individual snare hit etc then the vocalist spends one afternoon doing their bit, then I spend another week or so editing, micing and enharncing their takes. Althoughj I cant confirm, I would expect the same applies to Yila, so maximum respect to him.
This still holds up so goddamn well.
