Another thing to add for AGI carries in general against Axe, armor items greatly reduce the damage you do to yourself in blademail. So Butterfly, AC, Skadi are great items that increase your armor therefore lowering the damage you take from blademail. Also consider buying a Diffusal/Disperser for high atk speed heroes cuz Axe has a very low mana pool early in the game so even if you get called by axe there's a chance he won't have mana to use his ult, giving you time to pop your save items/spells. For supports Wind Waker is also good. Carry heroes vs Axe - WK, Ursa, MK, Troll, Lifestealer, Razor, SF Support heroes vs Axe - Bane, Shadow Demon, Tusk, Undying, Io

I struggle to decide whether I should include things like "Ursa counters axe" because although most players know ursa wins the lane against axe, axe still has a >50% winrate against ursa and wins games against him on average. Maybe I could add some nuance in that regard.
@@auditorenostrum2691 why? cuz he can kill you in ult? thats the whole counter? you dont take into consideration that troll has range for lane, has lvl25 talent to use ult in call so you get lifesteal, naturally buys sny satanic, can jungle pretty fast so even in bad lanes you can recover, has high ms, high armor? all of these compared to just 1 ult?
I'm curious if people would prefer hearing about counters like veno or viper that 'feel good' to play against axe rather than just looking at stats/winrates.
Eul's scepter, but nothing other than that. Timbersaw and Ursa can be a big problem (but Axe with Diffusal/its upgrade (topkek) will kill Timber and with Aghanim's will mitigate Ursa's bs). Other than that, smart play. When Axe buys items such as BKB (which he doesn't wanna do, just like anyone else) he's weaker than he otherwise would be with the go-tos (Octarine Core, Lotus to purge bs, AC, etc)
Axe warms his blade in your guts!
