Before I forget… torch in L on hot bar won’t burn building down, swim in water to fight bears,and skinning table gives less exp than field skinning
A lil rant from me to you. The Giant Emu you killed is called a Moa in the game and in real life, which were endemic to New Zealand 500-600 years ago and the female grew to 12ft and once was hunted by the Haast’s eagle the largest known eagle to have existed. Now we have a micro version of the Moa called a kiwi. Absolutely love the vid 🎉

I believe you can build a "lightning pole" from some Wooden poles, making it 5-7 poles high, atleast 3-4 taller than the house, and placing it near the house, not too close though, should divert lightning to the pole instead of the house.

I like the building mechanic in Icarus. Point at the arrows on a structures and easy placement. Inner arrow in a circle place it somewhere else than just the outer edge ones

I did try to put the meat on the dryer but wasnt able to get it working, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong :)

Welcome to the channel , good having you.
I'm not sure if it was a feature last time you played but you can put any light source in the slot in front of the slot 1 and activate it by pressing L this means you can freely using tools in caves or at night without have to switch back and fort yet oddly due to how the game seem to attach the light source to your characters left hand the higher tier light sources actually perform worse then lower tier due to the amount of movement when using tools. I personally find that for cave exploring the first biofuel lantern is best as its light in a wide arc and even thou its pretty short ranged its perfect giving you a clear view ahead and around you. The next tier up - Storm Lantern gives a bright and longer beam but due to whole being held in left hand of your character thing you often find the beam is only shedding light on objects to your left while leaving the centre and right sides of your vision completely in darkness yet put the storm lantern on your hotbar and using from there it works fine due to character holding it steady and forward in their right hand. hopefully this little oddity will be shorted out by the Devs one day But I'm looking forward to seeing more of you 3 adventures

You can Train Bison and Moa. Kill the adult then interact with the juvenile. You need animal beds (Textiles Bench), Food and Water Troughs (Crafting Bench). There is quite a bit of info on how to tame them.

I just bought the game a week ago. Now that they have open world. My only issue with open world, is resources do not currently respawn. So eventually to get iron or gold. Will require going half way across the map to get it.
I hope they will bring in cars or some sort of vehicle for it. They do have a car in an early trailer so I'm crossing fingers.

This is what Icarus was missing from the beginning. It's a gorgeous world but the survival aspect felt kind of muted. Building up every single time gets old and too time consuming. Then you learn ways to skip some progression of building and it gets dumber from there. But if they really made it open world now to pick? Okay. Better. I'll have to check it out again and see how it's been progressing. The game had so much potential but that timer and starting from scratch (building/tech wise) was just a kill joy.
Putting a timer in the game was a serious No Way I Play This Game vibe.
Happy they got around to change that!

With open world I wish they would've kept the resources at regenerating. I get that maybe it has a bit of nerf to it, but all I've ever really wanted from this game was a survival open world environment. Limiting the resources makes me feel like I ain't supposed to have fun, and playing on outpost is just boring with the terrible xp gain. Maybe a separate mode or version of open world that maybe doesn't link with the missions aspect of the game, explorers- or survivalist. Something like that, this series is gonna determine if I actually think it will be fun with friends- but from a singleplayer stance I really don't think so personally. Great vids though, as always.
Didn't they make it so the resorces respawn in the latest update?
@@Fisk if they did I didn't see it, all I've seen is the thumper. I'll have to read the change logs carefully again, that or just play it. I think the game's mechanics are great and everything, but the mission timer and such as you said really take away from what I feel would be the survival game. Not to mention the xp grinding can be rough at times, but if you're a great marksman with a bow then I imagine you'll have a good time. I'll check it out tomorrow, thanks for the info though, makes me want to play the game again since like what- last summer.

The game is fun and tedious at the same time, but my biggest issue is that there is no pause feature(thank you UUE4).
Ok I'm a bit sad now I was so hyped for the return of ludicrous speed but let's hope dark helmet can keep up expectations and hopefully not take all of fisk and Olaf's loot anyway hope you all had fun making this and much love ❤️

The timer on world's before needing to return is honestly one of the largest reasons I think the game didn't do well qt launch. Was it a somewhat unique gimmick? Kind of... but no one wants that in a PVE survival game. It's cool to have servers wipe in rust because it's so pvp focused. I feel like a lot of the other issues wouldn't have been hated on as hard if people could have at least enjoyed carving out their own spot.
