But Eggman knew that if there was one machine of his that could knock the Super out of Sonic and wipe the floor with the Phantom King... It was Big Arms!

Sonic Mania's 2nd secret final boss for those who got 100% completion Imagine this: You just got The 100% completion in sonic mania plus, and a text shows up saying you unlocked another secret final boss. You go to The level select and you see another "level", and you click it, playing as sonic and tails. Your in the sky, the same place as in sonic 3, launch base act 2. But something looks different... It looks more damaged then usual, and pieces are falling every 10 seconds. You see the same lazer beam boss, but undamaged. After you defeat it, you then see robotnik in his big arms machine....damaged.... This exact song starts to play
Sparks start to fly out of the big armsmachine every time he gets hit. One you defeat the big arms machine, the "rocket" having the death egg fly starts to fall...*by the way once you defeat him your in space at this point* You have to jump on platforms trying to make it out alive, as tails flies away to get the tornado. Your giving a new move, pretty much your able to hang on to walls until you slide off. After 2 minutes of platforming, tails appears with the tornado, and in the distance you see the death egg falling. Eggman strangely doesnt go after it, but instead goes after you. Your objective? Defeat robotnik again and make sure he doesnt destroy the tornado, if it gets hit 8 times, it will plunge into the sea. After defeating robotnik again, he goes after the death egg, wires are poking out, some pieces of his egg mobile fall off, and you see sparks everywhere, and its struggling to stay up. After that he tries to rebuild the death egg, on an island far away, while you, tails and the rest enjoy some chilly dogs. A text appears, saying you got the "True Ending"
I hope the people in the comments know that this was a genesis song first before generations. It’s was from sonic and knuckles, if you don’t know that it was genesis first then look up final boss from sonic and knuckles
Going by the font usage here, I think Eggman finally figured out how to use Protoculture as a substitute power source for until he can get ahold of the Chaos Emeralds.
big arms as a real ending boss... immune to supersonic like it was in sonic 3.. and when player turns super they find out the final boss music is still playing and robotnick knocks you out of super mode after catching you :P
@@rain68832 In the original Sonic 3, there's an oversight in the Big Arms fight. The ground slam attack doesn't call the usual damage function; its damage function ignores the Super state. I call this an oversight because this behavior does not happen in Knux vs Big Arms in S3&K. It's a really cool oversight, though. Wish a similar thing happened with Great Eggman Robo where the Master Emerald laser would ignore super-states.
