Isn't zirconia brittle as it's ceramic compared to noble metal titanium?

Thank you Dr Horiyat. I live in Beaumont, Texas. I'm having tooth pain. My fillings are coming out of two teeth. I was told that my options are a crown on one tooth and a filling in the other and if that doesn't work, a root canal would be the last option, which I also refuse to do. I'd like to keep a tooth there in order to eat. If I chose an implant, I'm also not a fan of having metal in my mouth. I would even consider flying to California to see you if I could get a zirconia implant. I haven't checked, but I truly wouldn't doubt if dentists in my are won't do them.

@@Andre.Ferrizzi, Yes. I got the one cap and one filling mentioned above. They are both still a wee bit sensitive if I eat on that side, but not near as badly as they were before I got them done.

I just found out about these. My dentist only offered titanium implants. I was considering a bridge but I didn't realize they affect the surrounding teeth. So glad I saw this even though I may have to find a holistic dentist which would be perfect. I am currently detoxing titanium from my system and I dont have an implant so I do not true titanium plus titanium is in a lot of things hence adding to the toxicity.

Thank you for this very informative video. I have a sensitivity to certain metals (nickel, in particular) so would not consider titanium dental implants. However, I am struggling to find out what my options are with regards to replacing all my teeth with zirconia dental implants. I am concerned that my only option might be individual implants with I could not afford. Is All-on-Four or All-on-Six with zirconia dental implants an option? Many thanks.

I see no reason why it shouldn't be possible. It will most likely be more expensive but there's probably some areas near you that does them. Also something that this woman didn't mention in this video is the fact that it's hard to remove this type of implant than it would've been with a titanium implant because its cement retained instead of screw retained

Do you know of anyone in the Los Angeles or Ventura country area that do mostly zirconia implants?
I have 3 titanium posts, no crowns, and I’m having a reaction to the metal. I started getting rashes not long after the posts were put in. Plus they were put in incorrectly and have to be removed anyway.
My biggest concern is that the zirconia may be too big for my jaw bone. One tooth area has been missing a too for a long time and I was told it may not be enough bone to put 3 single zirconia implants in for the 3 molars. I’m hoping that it can be done with two implants…maybe with a bridge for the 3 molars?

@@ank6043 I actually did get them removed but I had them replaced with another metal that has a in casing of some sort. Hi by accident got a very good dentist surgeon and it was no joke. Put pulling out those three posts. It was like going through real surgery, but being awake! he was very careful when he put in the new ones not to break the encasement in order to not expose me to metal. Hopefully he wasn’t lying but I’ll find that out soon enough. If I start itching and breaking out at my elbows knees, top and bottom of feet hairline back of hands etc. Then I will know that he was lying. Fortunately, if I do have a reaction, this particular doctor will replace him for free! Living in Southern California you can’t find that anywhere. Like I said, I got very fortunate with finding this particular Dentist /Surgeon.

Not if you have to carry an Epi-pen for the rest of your life. Nobody warned us about titanium teeth implants and my husband got one. He's had histamine issues ever since. We didn't know what was going on with him and he started having allergy symptoms out of no where. Hives from head to toe. Conventional dentists won't tell you about autoimmune reactions, conventional Drs simply put him on immosuppresive drugs without figuring why he was having these flare-ups. I just by chance had him go to an ND just for routine testing, and this ND happened to be very knowledge in metal sensitivities. My husband did the metal testing and titanium came back high. Then they put the puzzle together. A strict Paleo diet (removing dairy, grains, soy, legumes which are high inflammatory) has actually helped keep his system reactions down. But he still flares up now and then. The flare ups always effect his face; lips, complexion and down his arms. I don't know if he will ever replace the titanium with zirconia as it was just a nightmare to get it done in the first place. Shame on these conventional dentists that brush off the body's natural response to man-made implants. They know better. So many people living in pain and having to take drugs to know rectify what they did in the first place.
