That petrified wood fireplace is so interesting and unique. I love it. Love the bar too. That outside area off the bathroom was probably a sun deck. So much potential for this home but I do feel they should have preserved the original mid century style from the 60s and 70s.

I met Jerry back in the 70s when I was being deployed to Korea.
Him and another guy were sitting in the San Francisco Airport bar, and being a fan I introduced myself and stuck out my hand for a shake.
He looked at me, and in a nasty tone said " What do you want?"😮

Every time they showed a picture that said, "Back in the day" it looked so much more stylish than the empty cold looking remodel. The kitchen and dining room had a lot more classy, stylish appearance before the remodel than after. They should have kept the house looking as close to original as possible with all the different colors and everything. It was way more stylish and classier looking in the old photos. That is the reason for keeping those old celebrity homes around isn't it? The interiors of celebrity homes should be kept as close to original condition as possible.

By all accounts the rat pack did not hang out in that house. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis weren’t speaking at that time in the 1960’s and they had very little interaction until 1976 when Sinatra did that reunion on the MDA Telethon. Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. really didn’t hang out with Jerry Lewis and I doubt they both went to that house when Sinatra had giant suites at the hotels he was performing in. That house has had several changes over the years, but I will admit it has some unique history to it.

Over years, I learned that Mr. Lewis did not treat other people with respect. In short, it was reported he was nasty, arrogant and a horses' ass. Throughout my life, I learned that the true character of a person can best be found in the manner people treat one another, especially those who lack supposed power, money or influence. As a retired airline captain and VP, I always made a special effort to treat hotel maids, servers, and mechanics with dignity, integrity, appreciation and respect. Like my late grandfather who was a business pioneer in Las Vegas, he used to tell us, Always treat people on the way up with respect, as most likely you will see them again on the way back.

Sorry...I think the house, old and new, is hideous! No continuity, almost schizophrenic. Just because Jerry Lewis lived there doesn't raise the value for me, and don't buy the Rat Pack story since the time frame doesn't fit.

I love the old photos of how it was when Jerry had it, but it would look way better less cluttered, but that was kind of the style back then. The new look is too sterile, but I'm sure whoever buys it can warm it up with cozy furniture, textures, and homey decor. On the bathroom patio, I would definitely add lots of pots of trees, plants, and vines. A fountain and some outdoor lighting, maybe a Jacuzzi, would really be wonderful!! Too much concrete makes it look like a hospital! Thank you for sharing this treasure, even though Jerry Lewis was a terrible person. He was talented, and the house is awesome! It's actually historical, in my opinion.

Here's a story, Jerry's ex daughter in law Patty is a Brazilian singer, I'm a Las Vegas entertainer, and we wanted to team up and put an act together, let's say like a Sonny & Cher type of act, where we sang but there was also comedy involved. She talked to Jerry about meeting me at this house and possibly have him be our financial backer. We scheduled a day for her, I and Jerry to meet, when the day came she called me that morning to tell me that Jerry died about an hour ago. True story

I lived in Vegas for 23 yrs and used to drive by this housing area all the time. I was also a background actor and did his last 2 telethons with him as part of the crew. He wasn’t very friendly to the regular folks. But the worst is rich little. His office was in the same location as where my daughter used to work for a non profit…he was terrible. Next up Siegfried and Roy’s house….they used to hand out money to the neighbor kids instead of candy. Used to drive by their house all the time and had a. Friend who was their executive assistant before she left them to go into real estate. If. Nothing else vegas is interesting with all the celebrities who live all over….met Andre Agassi when he was getting married to Brooke shields in the elevator of his office on Sahara across from palace station. Won tickets to his live auction and and bought some auction tickets and won a signed/autographed shirt for my son who still plays tennis at 50 and Andre was his favorite player. Like I said lots of interesting people I’ve met and worked with living all those yrs in Vegas.

Nice house, would have liked to have seen more of the original kitchen and baths. Should have kept the paint colors. The 'modernization' is pretty bad. Its a mixture of the past and present and does not fit. That deck with the floating tub was for nude sun tanning. The mirrors in the closest was for getting dressed and being able to look at a 360*

Jerry was world famous so he could have parties to match the house size. Not sure what someone would do with it now. THOUGH, it would make a good Jerry Lewis museum!
