Watching this eps made me realize something, I think the reason why Ming loves Tong is because he saw some scenes from Tong's drama and then he got interested, Ming knew the drama was acted by Tong but Ming didn't know the fact that the scene he saw was acted by Joe as a Stand-in

Acording to the novel, Tong doesn't like Ming or May. He just after power and influece, and Ming/May's family is like top notch oligarch. So he tries to do everything to keep them to himself.

Future painful episodes will come- Tong is a much more aswhole than Ming. Ming is an open villian, but Tong is a double face one. He will manipulate Mings feelings for him in order to stop Joe's rising star in cinema. Tong's character is really awfull ahhhh- hope in the series will be shown as in the novel... So far this series is following very well the amazing emotional rollecoaster from the great novel which this series is based on. The way Poom is playing Joe character is really out of charts- because he's exactly as his character from the novel. Up is also well expressing Ming character from the novel- but I am impressed of how well Poom identified with his novel character. The novel is simply amazing- very, very, very emotional. For example one of the most emotional and also karma moments is that when Ming realise that the "back" whom he was inloved for so many years is not Tong's back but Joe's back as his stand-in... The novel should be read by many people. This is maybe one of the few series really well adapted after the original novel. Thanks for fast reaction!❤

I haven't read the novel but it was obvious (from the scene in the escalator) that the back Ming was admiring was Joe's. Literally, Joe is the one doing all the action scenes for Tong. It's going to be a harsh wake up call for Ming when he realizes it was Joe all along. And I hope the revenge arc is good bc Ming and Tong are trash.
I feel like ming got Joe fired as the favour to tong. So Joe then had to go do that unlicensed production to warn money. That's my theory.

I 100% agree with your thoughts on Ming and Joe’s relationship. I’ve read and seen so many ‘romance’ stories where one person is a doormat and the other just takes advantage…and I’m sick of it. Those stories don’t send good messages to young people.
I would give Ming two choices 1) Ming can be an adult, forget Tong, and be in a trusting committed relationship with a green flag. 2) Ming can forget Joe and never see him again and spend to rest of his life simping after someone who will never love him.
I had the same thoughts when Mew took Tom back in ONLY FRIENDS and later when Nick took Boston back. How could Nick pick Ton over Dan!
Finally I get some logical n some make sense comment otherwise mostly They show sympathy towards Ming .Ming knows from the beginning Tong is his sister's boyfriend but still following everywhere like lost puppy who searching his owner everywhere first u can fight for love or move on like adults I feel sad for u in those scenario.I'm surprise Ming doesn't notice in those years Tong doesn't any stunt scene even like Pool scene he drops for Joe .According to me if Ming that much obsessed that back how did he not find sooner even doing all sexy stuff with Joe .
I think that Tong knows very well, that ming has a crush on him. That is the reason he plays with mings feelings and be such a asshole.
Tong is the most manipulative, arrogant , selfish and incompetent character ever, it’s obvious he’s not genuinely in love with either Ming or his sister(May) and am sure he’s just after their wealth and power and am also sure he’s the one behind Joe’s accident 😡😡😡 and Ming is the biggest narcissist and red flag 🚩 i’ve watched in a BL for the longest time.
I will be here every week just to watch his regrets and efforts in trying to win back Joe 🙄

In the novel ming didn't know it was Joe in the scenes because Joe's name wasn't in the credits so Ming thinks it's Tong, but he finds out it's really Joe in the scenes
