This is why I force whoever would be my Cat player to stack A. I trust myself holding off a full B execute solo far more than I trust 3 people holding A.
You forgot about the part where they now suddenly have microphones and are blaming for not having teleported to A-site already whilst you are trying to focus on retaking A you will hear alot of their opinions about you. Now they also talk alot commentating loudly your every cleared angle and footstep they hear that you would also hear if they kept quiet. Also they are making what they think are helpful guess calls since they don't think you can guess yourself, so you hear even fewer footsteps. I call it the retake-simulator playing these matches.
I appreciate how matter of fact and even-keeled this is. It's concise, practical, and assumes very little without digressing into over explanation. I'd love to see more in this format. Thanks for making it!
Holy... Finally an explanation video with a format that I expected it to have. 0 bullshit talk, talks about positioning in general (not only about smokes), subtle humour. Thanks youtube algorithm for showing me this channel, because I wasn't able to find this gold by myself
As someone that played source and 1.6 back in the day, but only fucking around in matches with a zillion players, this kinda stuff really helps me. Anymore videos like this, T or CT any map, ill watch it. Consider me subbed
Very helpful, especially as I help my friend group, who are new to CS, learn the fundamentals. We'd appreciate more of these, and this is the perfect time for this type of content for the community after CS2 has been out for a while now. Thank you.
Aaah you are so lucky. I always play with my friends but I can never make them watch any CS2 video etc. I even record some super short stuff like basic smokes in Mirage & D2 (cuz they only play these) but still no luck. One of them has 460+ hours and in addition to these he keeps "giving info" non-stop and practically make me deaf in-game until round ends. The other one has around 300 hours, never leaves Mid(until this week surprisingly) and just started using AK/M4 instead of only Aug/Sg/Scar etc. Both still can't understand sound cues, footsteps etc. I hope I live long enough to see my dudes try to improve their knowledge and "succeed" teamwork. I can't tell you how happy I was when my duo said "I'm goin B, I have Molotov and Smoke" in a D2 match at first round. He used to go Long only at CT side. And now he uses Utility, actually tries using them; not just Flashbanging sky randomly anymore. Game is 50x more fun when your friends try their best and improve themselves. I wish the most fun for you and your friends in CS2. +_+
I really enjoy these, I prefer this over super deep dives into a single position because I usually have to fill a random position in my pugs every game sometimes even round to round.
I really like these videos, Flom. It's a nice break from the stream highlights that you normally do. Plus, hearing your calmer voice is always nicer than the big streamer voice lol. I would absolutely like more of this, too.
This is very helpful for my new team to learn positions as we go, if possible could you do Anubis or ancient next? I know that is a map Mythic tend to play a decent amount
Thanks fl0m. I’ve been really trying to improve at cs lately but it’s tough and discouraging not having a stack to queue faceit or when I’m playing against people who have close to 20 years in the game. Uphill/sisyphus feeling climb. I have the 10 year coin but still feel like I lack a lot of game theory so thanks for making cool videos on stuff like this for guys like me
Controversial take, as cat player, I like to keep the molly at the start of the round because you can hear a rush coming and dump a molly when those happen. Usually Ts are not pressuring upper b even at lvl 8 faceit so I don't bother wasting the util
I think floms point is that since most teams will smoke a moly on a rush, the he you can throw is more valuable. So if you get both nades off, you force the smoke, can get your HE off in time, and your anchor still has a moly for a late push. I can see both sides. I personally also hold mine when I play cat, but it really depends on your what your anchor would prefer.
Also it's 600$ to increase the chances of avoiding loosing the bombsite and being money fuck for 3 rounds - looks way better than mollying chair or bench
@@Lolywiz You could save that molly for a late contact dumping it next to get right or van / bouncing into apps. And if there is huge mid presence, molly underpass to assist teammates contesting top mid. Just always using it apps 15 seconds in the round is plain lazy. I'm not saying never do it. If I feel like a b rush is coming that round, I'll use it early.
great video, excellent to have some solid position breakdowns, enjoyed you pointing out all the obnoxious possible plays, if only people held their spots..
That's a wonderful video! A lot of useful information for players who want to get better! But you didn't include different situations during the game, but included overall main and most common situations, that's great! Would be wonderful if you could do a Anubis one!
as a 3k elo faceit player that always play A anchor and get fucked by teammates, 1 more option is to just go to connector with your connector player and try to catch people off guard as if your con player dies sometimes they don't expect you in con. Just make sure you smoke off palace and timing peek a main and be aware of people already be at sandwich after you fight con.
8:25 I feel like this flame is too early. You can hear them rushing from cat and bounce a molly of the side of the window before they get there. This molly will burn out before the rush gets there. But I'm shitty so what do i know
Cool vid but it could’ve used some more info on angles and positioning A site and Mid. I also strongly disagree with the insta molly ramp. Can just wait for sound cue and then molly + flash
As a silver player whose games do not involve the concept of roles, this seems really neat. I wish I could learn this stuff and play in high ranked games if my mechanical skills weren’t so bad
actually, any advice for the con players getting dumped on by an a-split? A Anchor will die or my Mid, and I usually get stuck stairs. Do I just swing one side and attempt to get out that way?
damn i just realised how much i love mirage i love every position i play whatever i want and its awesome no matter what even b anchor is sometimes a nice change of pace thank you valve
if im jumpspotting ticket and the T's just start dry pushing out ramp/palace what should i do? should i just hide away and wait for team to rotate? try to run away and throw default molly? am level 7 for reference
biggest problem I have is how to control mid when no one knows any nades. I play with my friends but I feel like I'm the only one that knows how to properly throw nades so any kind of ATK or Defense I always usually have to throw the nades.
My problem with my ct side mirage is that my teammates buy either p90 or mp7 they push mid, ramp or under, spraying all 5 terrorist for 15 damage, then calls "they are all low", and have to deal on either a or b with 5 terrorists alone.
I almost always play B anchor or catwalk because the rest of my usual teammates do not have the patience for it or are just better than me so are more valuable in spots like A anchor
Is it bad that I like being B anchor? I have < 150 hours and am in silver elite, but I usually top frag by a lot of damage/kills. Figured out some things that work for me and may only work for low levels, but I think choosing to be B anchor after realizing my 4 stack of IRLs doesn’t really like holding B has really helped us out a lot
As a b player I know my job: retake A with max 1 mate while the enemys are already at ct spawn and jungle, 0 calls 0 kills
And that's why I love playing B
This is why I force whoever would be my Cat player to stack A. I trust myself holding off a full B execute solo far more than I trust 3 people holding A.
@@zettour. Well, I do the same,1B 1mid and 3A, but people are stupid
the bomb has been planted

As a true B player I know my job: jump for 1.5 min straight, go retake A 1v4
"if you peek this and die though this is your fault" - 10/10 quote
i actually chuckle at this, it was funny
@mikaeldaponte2669 same, top tier comedy with good advice
YES YES YES we need more of this
3:09 I like how you say "Don't be affraid to go through vents" after exposing yourself to the dangerous path in front of the ramp haha
It’s good for NA people to get a understanding of the game 🎉
Some of us definitely needed this video
NA players? understanding of the game? nah pal
Tjenare kungen
ah yeah, all EU players whether newb or CS1.0 legend quality know every position, tactic, nade lineup and role goals...
Well EU CS was always on another tier since the beginning.
Great video! Most informative video I have seen, I learned a lot. Thank you 🙏🏽

I mostly use it apps when the Ts are in a low buy as it's unlikely they rush B in a full buy

usually theres loads of comments I don't agree with but I think everything you went over I agree 100% with. good stuff
Regarding B site: CT molly is now $500, so it's really useful to buy nade + molly instead of kevlar. 300 utility damage on pistol rush guaranteed

as an a anchor i very appreciate your video
How many times did it take to make that ladder jump in window be honest
14:37 why did you wear heeled shoes to the episode? xD
One thing i like to do on t side is to run to ramp presmoke molly and throw flash over on tetris. Then just push its 70% entry

Actually appreciate the B player. Played with a friend and he got a 3-k holding apps on a lengthy round.
the hardest part is not having a team that understands what to do.
At what rank can I expect this from teammates, cause I've been matched to 3k or 5k hours players and they still don't know what to do on Mirage.
