Yoooo legit this guy has a whole sonic series Retrospective on his channel. I'm going to binge watch it tonight! Awesome video, I'm so excited for Jamboree!
The only thing about pro rules I don’t like is the max 12 turns 😫 why is there such a weird restriction. And then maximum 30 turns in normal party. I feel like a Party game like this should be a lot more customizable in the rules to adjust to whoever your playing with.
If you ever played the gamecube version of mario parties like i did growing up, then you should know those games even had up to 50 turns, I just never understood Nintendo decreasing the maximum number of turns. like for online with random matchmaking i’m okay with restricting the number of turns since most people don’t wanna do a very long game, but for offline or private matches with friends they shouldn’t care if I wanna run a 50 turn game.
@@AllDarkReaper that’s why I’m obviously pointing it out because we had those options before xD And if you didn’t know even on the n64 games you could do 50 turns
@@BabysealLovesBagpipes that is dumbest take I have ever heard. Especially because we had 50 rounds in Mario party before and I have never heard the complain of having the option beeing a problem. The fuck your even on about
Can you confirm that the Paratroopa Flight School Mode🪽🪽 .... let's you access the entire Roster or is it Limited to Only Mario and Luigi? I ask only because all the Demo Gameplay only shows Mario and Luigi being played in this mode. Clarification please 🥺.

When you land on an item space part of the roulette gives you item minigames. They're pretty rare since you have to land on an item space AND the roulette has to be a minigame.
Just a question cause this might make or break the game, can you only play the motion control minigames with 1 joy cons or is it possible to play it with 2?
I find myself enjoying koopathalon more than kaboom squad. I think kaboom squad would be more enjoyable for be in a setting with 8 friends though, just haven't had a chance to give it a go
@@NintenDeen I’ve had good luck getting worldwide online matches with players that actually make an effort and have gotten five a few times. Maybe I’m matching with bots or I’m just really really lucky lol. Some of the designs of t)3 8 player co op games are genius to me. Sometimes the one where you have to switch the numbers or pictures to put them in order trips people up.
Hey there, genuine question-- you commented on the variety of mini games a bit in past entries, but how does it feel in the main Mario Party mode? I know motion controls are optional, but I WANT to say there was 12 mini games confirmed for that, and then another 10 mini games are Jamboree buddies specific mini games. Most of my friends won't play the motion control mini games, and I've heard Jamboree buddies can be hit'n'miss with appearances. That's 22 of the 110 minigames, but did you still feel there was a decent variety in the main party mode without those 22?
I think the 1v3 minigames felt a bit repetitive (as in the same ones showed up a few times) but my experience is anecdotal. I won't really have a few for the variety until a few weeks after release. That being said, initial thoughts are it didn't feel like it was any different than previous entries in the series. Probably even felt like there was more variety than most MP games.
What I find odd is they claim in game a 10 turn game is roughly 90 mins, which is kind of insane as every single source ive seen shows 10 turns taking around 60 exactly. Im not sure how slow the average playtester is at taking a turn but their recommendation is literally 50% longer than reality. The mall board, however, feels super slow to play as every single player has some kind of event happening every turn. The problem seems to mainly be the many short screens of text you have to click through, as opposed to just having one bigger wall of text, combined with slow animations for the events/item gets
The showdown minigames with allies drastically slow things down. Actually, buddies in general drastically slow things down. So I could see a 10 turn game maybe being like 70-80 minutes if there are 4 young players and they need to practice every minigame because they're not comfortable with everything yet. But with a few games in it's realistically 10 turns for about 45 mins.
I wouldn’t mind rounds being longer. What puts me off some of the older parties is the breakneck pace, and it’s more interesting to make it like a drawn out game of monopoly where time reveals how long everyone’s confidence lasts.
Ws! I haven't played online but I've heard that they won't be playable online anyway so I think a large chunk of people won't even experience them at all
I am one of them I really don’t like motion control minigames and I also heard that it’s optional if you do it offline but if you do turn them off will that unfortunately lower the minigames you can play like story mode for example because I don’t wanna do any motion control minigames in story mode?
@sailorkotori5385 so during story mode you can technically skip the motion games and probably still advance. But at someone point of you're trying to do full completion you'll have to do the motion control minigames. But there aren't that many, and yes during board play you can remove them and it will lower how many games are available per round.

Turn limits are an important part of balance in board games. If games run to long, they can break.

Hey, Dean! It’s Guy! Good review!
Is there a way to make 4 player CPU matches?
I don't believe so
the only negative thing i still don‘t like about mario party is, the hidden block can contain a star
I hate the ally system rules like why even have me work to get an ally if all some one has to do is pass me.
Great review. I'm looking forward to getting this game soon and experiencing it for myself.
My friends and I had a no golden pipes gentlemen rules too lmao
The games not even out yet so how are you able to review it unless do you have a cooy provided by nintendo
It’s released elsewhere earlier than the US
Also it’s already leaked online lol, fully playable through yuzu

Actually this roster is 2 characters more than super
"No one ever plays them anymore" Looks at the many youtubers playing them and my friends who play gamecube parties more than any of the others. "Umm".
Still it's great to hear this one is good. Was worried with all the crappy lucky spaces back and way small looking stages but this sounds great.
Literally, the only complaint I see is how long 10 turn game it seems to last 10-15 minutes longer than it should be not considering online lag.
It's not even that long. An average 10 turn game is roughly 45-60 minutes depending on board events. I think it's about the same as with superstars
What I find odd is they claim in game a 10 turn game is roughly 90 mins, which is kind of insane as every single source ive seen shows 10 turns taking around 60 exactly. Im not sure how slow the average playtester is at taking a turn but their recommendation is literally 50% longer than reality.
