I think it fits this song ok, but I don't like it generally. I don't mind women with a slightly deeper voice, but it's the combo of deep and gravelly that seems to grate on my ears. You expect it from a guy, but not a woman. Just like I'm not attracted to women who look like guys, neither am I attracted to female voices that sound like male voice.

I’m 50, I was a child of the 80s, a Metalhead. I always thought Miley was more of bubblegum/pop and never gave her a second thought. The first time I really sat and listened to her was plastic Hearts yesterday. What an amazing mature artist, lyrically clever, versatile even after her vocals changed. I was blown away am totally hooked and a fan for life! I’m so stoked she is exploring more rock/metal! Even if metal is just in her covers. Right on Miley! It’s insane. If there were ever a song I would think could never be properly covered, it’s this one. AND not only did she do it well, it’s almost like this song was made for her. It actually made me tear up she did so well, there’s so much emotion and raw talent you can just feel it.

Yeah she made it her song. The song made me tear up as well. It was very inspiring to me! I was also tripping on shrooms when I first watched it lol, but that doesn’t take away from how amazing she did. I was never really a big Miley fan, but if this is the new Miley I love her ❤️
