Those seats are charger seats that were re-covered. Keep those frames, better yet clean, paint and reupholster them! They are rare and worth at least 1k each now. Love what you guys are doing! Check out my 68 charger too, it’s rattle can satin black
I love it, your 68 Charger project is coming along nicely y'all. Thanks for sharing your Charger experience project. BTW, my child-hood dream car is a Black carbureted 1978 Corvette and I wouldn't have my C3 Corvette any other color than Black. I restored/modified it in my garage and have road-trip driven it from Louisiana as far West as Arizona, as far North as Kentucky and as far East as Darlington, South Carolina. About your Charger, what a coincidence. Just yesterday I watched a Chop Cut Rebuild episode on TH-cam filmed at the AMD Installation Center in Cleveland, Georgia that featured an example of what can be accomplished with new AMD sheet metal and the car they featured it on is a 1969 Charger they found sitting on the ground in a salvage yard. They did a partial restoration to show at SEMA to showcase what can be done with body parts from AMD. The didn't only the body panel replacement, no engine, no interior, no glass...only the body parts in the same black shipping paint like yours. Keep up the good work, y'all two make a good team.
It’s great to see you are saving these cars and driving them, like back in the day. Keep up the great work and you guys are awesome. Love your network.👍🏼👊🏻
Danny makes the metal work look easy, I know that its not, and he is also fast. Nice work! Really like the idea of a driver race car that is enjoyed and gets used.
Glad to see you back at work on the Charger. It might look terrible to you, but that car is still a lot better rust-wise than most of the unrestored 68-70 Chargers out there. Black? Your call on the color. I do like the idea of going with gold and putting a black vinyl top on it. I think gold is the car’s original color. It will look good no matter what color you paint it. Nice to see empty space in your shop!
Doing work before doing work! Love it haha. The Charger is looking great!!!! All murdered out would look sick. Satin black with gold leaf accents is my next hotrod paint scheme 🤙🤙
Gonna need a bigger boat😅 Make sure you do all the quarter window work before welding on quarters Birdsong did some interesting outter wheel well mods for bigger tires Satin black is hot rod black
I worked in a machine shop for years, never wore gloves or safety glasses till lately. The last couple years back when I first started, we had to pay for all that stuff if we wanted to use it. I’m so not used to wearing gloves and I fill more safe to fill what I’m working on
I'm absolutely amazed at the work you have done on the '68 Charger! I've done my share of body work, mostly fat-fendered Fords and Plymouths, and my latest project, a '68 Austin Mini. But you take the cake with that Charger! I agree with the satin black paint job idea, and I keep wanting to see the '68 grill. If you score one, with those wheels the thing is going to be the dog's bollocks!
DANNY!!!!! You never let Liv be Passenger Princess in that Cuda... Sir we need to have a talk. So cool to see your guys lives through TH-cam. Im going to have to ask if you guys are coming to MATSLV?
Love the wheel cover. Lots of work you two have going. Not going to lie. Looking foreward to seeing Barbara on the road again. It's been toooo loooonnngggg. .
Your man hand’s won’t look so good when the death wheel comes apart remember that wheel running about 3000 plus rpm and when it hits you it will do a lot of damage to you put the Gard back on it be safe and have fun.
I noticed when you were driving the Tempest, when she nailed it hard, one of the red dash lights came on, what was that light for? I love all of your cars, and the Charger is going to be SO Nice! Keep up the great work and videos!
@@patrickfahring6086think you must have misunderstood my comment, I love the charger built, meant can't wait to see how it looks finished, they do great work !!!
Lookin good! Any chance you guys do a build for drag week? Something that runs 11-12 seconds and reliable…. I think that would be a blast to have a car you’ve built that can be cruised at night and raced all day. That would be awesome content!
I’m currently installing amd quarters on my 66 gta fairlaine. I did the floor and toe board. I can’t compliment amd enough. Everything fits amazing. If it doesn’t it’s probably an issue with the car (hit).
Did you guys know that the engineers at Mopar were going to name a brown color Fisher Body Rust? In the end they decided against it probably to avoid a lawsuit by GM.
Hot rod black is cheap and boring.....and super, super common (because it's cheap!) It's ok for low end rides but this is a '68 Charger! Paint her up right; FULL gloss black w/ gold rear (bumble bee) stripe! The body work is all the effort. You can't do all that and then hit it with cheap hot rod black paint. She needs to turn heads! It's a freaking '68 charger! Spare no expense! :) I've had a few black cars over the years. They don't always look dirty. They're hot inside when the sun is out though!
I wasn't going to write anything for fear of being attacked, but I took offense to the cyclist comment on this video. I'm a former subscriber and car person, but I'm also a former cyclist who was hit by careless driver in 2016 - It ruined cycling for me, it was a beloved stress reliever in my life. A person's politics has nothing to do with the love of the car enthusiast hobby, and I wish we could stop turning everything in life into a social clique. You guys are great! I love your energy, work ethic, and that you strive to live a life outside of just cars. But can we all please just learn to get along.
A car hitting a cyclist is going to end badly for the cyclists, unfortunately. (That can't be controlled) This is an extremely narrow road. We had to step on the brakes to prevent a head-on collision with the oncoming vehicle, or the other option was to hit a cyclist. There are plenty safe roads with actual bike lanes to ride on around here. I fully support that. It's hard to see in the video, but he was over the fading white line at some points. I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Putting himself and everyone else danger. Also I have seen this guy riding in the middle of the road sometime. Very inconsiderate, in my opinion. Maybe he lacks former common sense.
@@GnarlySpeedShop From Bike Law in your state: "Cars Overtaking Bicyclists" "Motor vehicle drivers are required to pass bicyclists at a distance of no less than three (3) feet. Yeah man, Mopars are rusty. That's why they're rare and more special than the other companies. There are so few left. They wrecked more Mopars than anything, they were always cheapest. They were always underdogs. But on the strip. Boooooy you wanna win. You race Mopar. Anybody tell you that. As Big Daddy. He tried to blow up a hemi with 50° of timing. More important than being politically correct - just be fair and open minded about other people’s hobbies - some view old cars as junk :(. As far as cyclists being inconsiderate - yes some are, but some are just sharing the road - again be tolerant as our society needs to learn that. Had someone recently complain my car was too loud - it’s got flowmasters.
Man, the surgery is coming along on the Charger! Nice job on the cleanup activities. 👏👏👍
