Ok but what do you do when you really want to study abroad, but your family won’t stop giving you Intense amount of grief about it? Ex: don’t you love me? I’ll never get to see you again. Why would you ever want to do that when your whole life is here? Etc etc.
Edit: I just went into high school, so naturally this topic came up. A few weeks ago, I was invited to go to a three country leadership conference in Europe my third year. I think this is a step in the right direction.

I'm in the same boat. Honestly, I just went with sort of a rip off the bandaid approach and told them that it's not their decision- I've saved up for this and it's my own money so I'll be going regardless. It might have been a bit mean but honestly I just told my family that I know you're against this but I'm going anyway and so you can choose to keep being against it or you can accept my decision and be more involved in the process and I think that that helped. It's been a little tense but I made the decision to prioritise myself and my plans and hopefully you can do that too

don’t adopt their issues as your own! sounds harsh but studying abroad should not come second to avoiding hurting your mom’s feelings.

honestly, just leave if you want too. dont let other people tell you how to live your life, or guilt trip you into anything. thats a really unhealthy thing to have and i feel like im gonna be in that situation soon but you just gotta put yourself first

I know I’m very late, but I hope you did what YOU wanted or are going to do what you want. It truly doesn’t matter at all what your family wants for you. If you listen to your family going against your wishes, you’ll end up regretting it

Can you make a video about how you got prepared for studying abroad I know you’ve done a few but more like how you contacted the school or places about where to stay, visa stuff, transportation etc how all that went down like the behind the scene meticulous stuff I guess. Also just wanted to say thank you for these videos they help a lot!

Hey so I never went to Uni abroad but I went to Highschool in Würzburg, Germany 🇩🇪.. the culture shock was real( cigarettes machines outside on buildings?? I was 16.) but I eventually got used to German life and began to see things from a European prospective. My parents
And my sis and myself traveled a lot around Europe and I learned so much about European culture. Yes a few Germans asked me if I rode horse and if I was a cowboy because I’m from Texas.. I think going to Uni abroad is something every young person should experience because it is an eye opener.

Heyy, you should do a video talking about the post travel depression feeling after studying abroad, idk if that’s the right term to say it but since I got home after being in Canada, i feel so sad, just to think about all the memories there, the people I met and probably not have the chance for seeing them again, missing the freedom to be in other country:( Im kinda dealing with that right now

My English teacher (I’m a sophomore right now, OH MY GOD IM A JUNIOR IN A FEW MONTHS) told us one day for atleast one year of our college experience we should study abroad because being immersed in another culture would help us view the world in a different way, and plus just the experience itself. I think he said junior year college, idk why but yeah. So I really want to, I want a chance to be independent and where someone knows me (cuz I feel like in my small suburb it’s hard for me to get to know new people, and I’m kinda a quiet kid here, but I can act how I want with new people to make new first impressions). I’m so scared to grow up but IM SO EXCITED, plz get me out of highschool. With my time mostly by myself I’ve had time to explore myself, and recently now just engaging in things and hobbies I’ve always wanted to do, but I lack friends and connection. That’s what I’m really looking forward to. I’ve also had extensive time to think, and my refusal to act like the people in my school just for friends makes it hard to be friends with people. Idk if what set me on this route was the right idea but it made me mature greatly. I’m going to choose to stay enthusiastic, plus maybe my highschool life can get better I’ve been making some friends but hanging out I haven’t really done. I also have difficulty feeling like I can be around the friends I made at lunch and snack in their own groups. So it’s gonna be difficult but Yknow what I’m just looking to the future we’ll see what happens :) I have to start looking at colleges and universities, I could probably try to apply at Ivy leagues but I’ve seen the work load, is it really worth it? Idk. I’d rather be studying abroad honestly gaining an experience rather than being a study-holic, as I feel I already am because what else can I do and I don’t have time. I want to go to Asia so bad because it’s pretty, but I’m not sure about social culture and standards and I’ve heard school there is crazy hard. So now I’m looking to Europe, and Hawaii (someone I knew went there for a year). I want somewhere with pretty outdoors cuz man I love just walking in nature and exploring (I went to a nature reserve for my bday this year). But I still want good education too. HELP IM STRUGGLING 😂 ok travel wise I love travel, and Europe has a a bunch of countries in close proximity; like you said. I think I wanna be somewhere there.
Edit: Girl the free time you’re talking about, I WANT IT I would love to go to school somewhere there. I think I have relatives there too.

I am a matriculation student and I am worried about my future as I am the elder daughter of my father. But the problem is that the school I am studying in does not focus on education and the future of the students. Our school teachers are uneducated, they don't even know how to read. Our school only cares about money or nothing. The problem is not only the teachers but also the students. For the past few years, fresher girls have been the worst. They vape in class and talk about boyfriends all the time. We have cameras in our classrooms but it feels like they are a piece of decor. Some of our teachers tell the whole paper to their favorite student. So my question is should I study aboard to get a good education?

Travel broadens minds and opens doors. One has to be careful with personal risks, obviously but it enriches your life, exposes you to new cultures and different ways of thinking. If you can, do it!

I'm applying for a homestay program for high schoolers mainly this winter. But my English is already like B2 or possibly C1. Do you think it's worth money? I hear the average English ability of the participants is usually A1. I'll be using the subsidy but it'll still be more than 4000 dollars for two weeks.
