I though my two days of hammock camping in Algonquin last weekend was awesome!!!! It doesn’t compare to your trips. They are beyond epic. Keep r going boys
Yes sir. Just what I was hoping for tonight. More of the paddling, fishing, arguing, singing, factoid spewing, bug swatting, highly entertaining Baird brothers!
@@ChatGPT1111 You are correct, I left quite a few things out like cussing, whitewater scouting, bushwhacking, fish filleting, knot tying, catamaran building, film making, photo taking, Gong Show portaging, wildlife viewing, tent camping, firewood cutting, white cap rodeo riding, sketchy situation dodging etc...
A call out to other viewers. If you stop for just a second, and think about the things that cause stress in your life, and the things that give joy. Jim and Tori give me joy. If they give you joy, support them however you can. Edited to add, hitting the thumbs-up button cost you nothing and in my opinion, that includes folks who comment with the same beliefs that you have.
Guys thank you so much - another awesome video. Netflix and tv both have nothing worth watching making your videos ever more enjoyable. Very much looking forward to the next one. I can always count on some humour in your vids which is always appreciated, cheers
What a adventure, i can't even imagine how hard it had to have been non stop bugs flodded woods to hike thruogh to scout out rapids, all the while filming the episode, not to mention the bulk and weight of camera equipment to lug around. Hats off to both you and Ted excellent job guys
What a tremendous adventure, and I mean adventure. I found my own heart racing as you guys approached those huge rapids and the current was taking Ted into them with no shore to land on. I'll say it again this has been the best adventure series I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Amazing work you guys, we appreciate it.
My heart was pounding. The waves and current was tremendous. Very sketchy area and the rocks and the bugs were everywhere. I'm at the edge of my seat. The Baird Brothers - We got this . You two are legends in the making. Awesome video. Great job guys.
I get sad when the video ends. This is way better than going to a movie in a theater - the bugs make it scarier than a horror movie. Awesome series! Thanks
Holy Bugs, Batman. The first half of the video was just buzzing. Even on the open water. Honestly don't know how you two don't go loco. I only experienced it once like that, on a super-quick overnighter to a Bon Echo backcountry site. Bugs were like a filter on the sun they were so thick. I almost ran the trail back to the car the next morning, skipping coffee and breakfast. Just packed up and got the hell out. I'd be living in my bug jacket. Besides the bugs... man, so epic. Loving every minute of the vids. Not sure how you're going to top it next year. haha... what's on the agenda? Teasers or hints?
It's good to see your subsciber base steadily increasing, for all the effort that you put into this channel it deserves to be in the many hundreds of thousands, we all hope that you achieve those sorts of numbers soon, in the meantime us lucky people get to experience the big sky wilderness with you, it certainly takes a big pair of kahuna' s to do what you guys do, cheers
I am now watching the entire series for the 3rd time. My wife thinks I'm nuts. In May I will be flying out of Armstrong Ontario into the Ogoki reservoir and watching your videos just gets me more excited about the Canadian Boreal forest.
If you didn't know this is the best outdoor series on TH-cam now you do! The other Canadians are pretenders ....they use actual marked portage's, don't cross small oceans, don't have a nagging brother with them and look malnourished!
Wow, those many blood sucking insects might have pushed me over the edge! lol I am not bad with bugs but that was just something else. I am afraid my bug jacket would have been my home, on land anyway. That last rapid sure was scary to look at but in the end you guys rode it like it was nothing, good on ya! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next episode! :) :)
Sick video and wicked series so far. The once a week uploads makes it longer lasting, more enjoyable and definitely more suspenseful. Man is that ever a raw and challenging, yet appealing and addictive lifestyle! Thanks mate keep it up eh
You both deserve an award 🥇 for putting up with those annoying bugs !! Usually the people I watch that do what you’re doing take a splash 💦 in the lake to freshen up. You couldn’t really do that in flood conditions or could you?
We could have in the lake or in calmer parts of the river. The water is ice cold though where we are at almost the 60th the ice only came off these lake two or three weeks before we got there so, not so enjoyable.
It just keeps getting more epic. Thanks for the welcome distraction from problems closer to home. Thanks for the welcome perspective. Endurance and perseverance. Well done!
Hats off putting up with the bugs. I spent 6 months deployed to Africa and the flies were maddening. The ones in the Middle East weren't even close to the swarms there. They would literally crawl on your eyeballs to lick moisture if you didn't have glasses on. That many mosquitos would've driven me insane hahahaha
Yet another epic episode, from this epic adventure! Best content going on the TH-cams. The sheer amount of bugs in the beginning of this video. Gave me anxiety, hahaa.
I seriously don't know how you deal with all those bug's...I find myself itching while I'm watching your video. You are 2 strong guys mentally and physically to do what you do. I would easily lose my mind with all those bug's flying in my face...Mad respect for you both 🙏 👏 ❤
Thanks for not saying ," will Ted and Jim make it out of this sketchy spot ? Tune in next week and see what happens. oh it was a fun ride." Thumbs up #154.
1st time I was actually scared for Ted when he got against the bank in the brush because of the raging water. Then I worried you couldn't get to him, but everything worked out, you are so calm & confident. Sure hated the flies for you both. Especially your poor neighborhood getting bit. Oh my. Don't have any remedies to help you coming from a Grandmal, & ex-Girl Scout. If it hadn't flooded in this area, would they have been as bad? The fish looked so delicious.
It was and ya, you can’t go to the washroom without getting attacked. I think this area in general is bad for bugs but I imagine more water in general creates more Stagnant water in the woods and mosquitos like to lay their eggs in stagnant, so I imagine it could be adding to it.
Hey Jim...another excellent video...I got extreme bugs even near Algonquin when i went in for a "rustic cabin" experience and got bites the size of boils on my neck and everywhere else! Your bathroom comment was hilarious- no escape for sure there...Was curious did you guys take shower while on this adventure? I'm hoping you'd have to..25 days 😁...haven't seen that piece yet in the series hence was curious. I get itchy and tired even without a day of shower!!
Hi Jim how are you, I hope that you are doing great thank you for putting another video, another great video that is,please stay safe God bless you always my friend
Great ! All that suspense at the end and my heart pounding...for nothing , now I've got to take my medication to slow my heart beat 😤 , 😁 , thanks for the video
So well deserved campsite at end of this one!! And the bugs are just insane 😲!! Lots of joy amidst the intensity of the natural world and am loving every minute of it you two. THANKS!! Barret
We watched this exciting episode last night and thoroughly enjoyed. It must take a long time to edit these episodes and we are anxiously awaiting the next.
You both make me laugh and travel and make me think and make me dream and teach me lots of things and make me happy just watching you and remind me where i come from . Thanks a lot Bairds Philosophers ;) LOL
I'm enjoying every minute of the Beyond the Height of Land series and all the other content that both of you put out there. Keep doing what ya do and I'll keep watching ya do it!
Must have been nice to get home and away from all those bugs . Even if there's Blackflies a sqiters around the homestead it would feel like nothing after this trip . Mike
Our Sunday show does not disappoint, great footage and tense moments but glad your both safe. Just think there is more of this to come not only this trip but floods and high water as mother earth changes .love the video stay safe
That flooded section and current looked amazing strong, and somehow that episode escalated pretty fast :-) and you made it through. Thumps up, good fight guys, thanks for all your efforts to film this real thing!
I remember walking beans and detasseling corn in the hot humid summer air with to flies, gnats, mosquitos buzzing and biting at sun drenched skin and being miserable beyond teenage patience. Even now as a adult I find it very unpleasant until I ordered a garden hat with net drapes down the shoulders that has brought smiles in the garden or outside activities. I don't know how you two have such tolerance for the bugs. Great video.
Thanks a lot for watching! Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to catch the rest of this series and more. Here's a link to the previous episodes in this series if you want to get caught up. th-cam.com/video/dzqc7sNFwBM/w-d-xo.html

Lol! Well said sir! I love the same thing!
Yup, agree entirely!
Thanks a lot! Haha
Don't forget the fish frying, oatmeal mixing, coffee pressing and eating 5 times per day!

"Its like standing on a pier and paddling." Ted can be so deadpan funny!
Guys thank you so much - another awesome video. Netflix and tv both have nothing worth watching making your videos ever more enjoyable. Very much looking forward to the next one. I can always count on some humour in your vids which is always appreciated, cheers
Just absolutely tremendous amounts of water in massive lakes and rivers ! So vast and essentially undisturbed. It must remain so.
What a adventure, i can't even imagine how hard it had to have been non stop bugs flodded woods to hike thruogh to scout out rapids, all the while filming the episode, not to mention the bulk and weight of camera equipment to lug around. Hats off to both you and Ted excellent job guys
Thanks very much! It is a lot of extra work for sure but I never regret doing it.
Exciting stretch of river, those rapids/waves were looking terrifying. Glad all went well. 😎👍🇨🇦
Thanks a lot, the upriver wind was crazy
Wow I have never seen a better outdoor series ever keep them coming love the content

Best videos around. Can't imagine how you can top this trip.
Wow you guys are fun. Love your videos
Thanks!
Enjoyed the vid. The bad times are what makes the good times so sweet. Great job You and Ted.
Indeed, thanks a lot
...that "crazy" laugh at the beginning...toooooo funny...! 🤣
Haha, glad you got a kick out of that.
Beyond the height-of-AWSOME !
You guys ROCK 🤘🏼
OMG !! Those bugs would drive me nuts !! You fellas "do have" brass balls!! Love your vlogs ..
I would be insane!!

Thanks a lot! Ya, slowly but surly
Loving adventuring with you both but i'm glad i'm sat here without the bugs ;-) was itching just watching. Love to the family ;-) x
I look for your new episode every Sunday evening. I enjoy watching very much.
I thought the bugs were bad before, but this is getting unreal. It reminds me why I like winter, lol
Ya, no bugs are definitely one of the major pluses of winter!
Hey Jim and Ted, l said also when things get tough y’all go into BEAST MODE always finding a way. Awesome video thanks! ✅🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏💯💯💯
I am now watching the entire series for the 3rd time. My wife thinks I'm nuts. In May I will be flying out of Armstrong Ontario into the Ogoki reservoir and watching your videos just gets me more excited about the Canadian Boreal forest.
Awesome! Thanks a lot and tho Ogoki has been on my list for some time.
Another EPIC video. I have to say. This series is the tops. Forget regular TV. This channel rocks.

You’re welcome! Ya we managed to find a route down the left where there was enough room to move away from the huge waves and boulders.
We were on the edge of our seats! 👍👊
Well done guys, you get to paddle another day and eat more bugs, great episode

Was on the edge of my seat for this one! So glad you guys came through that ok.
You guys are absolute maniacs man. Unreal series. Thanks.
I was just getting ready for bed, but i’m gonna watch👍👍👍👋
Enjoy!
"Blackfly bite's on my ball's".. This is why I watch. Great journey fellas.
That was so intense but very exciting to watch. I love this epic adventure and can't wait for more. Thank you!
That sounds miserable those bugs you dealt with. It definitely adds another big challenge to it all.
Yet another epic episode, from this epic adventure! Best content going on the TH-cams. The sheer amount of bugs in the beginning of this video. Gave me anxiety, hahaa.
Wow, that river is fast flowing!!
It really is. Thanks for watching!
Fascinating to watch he river paddling into a headwind
That was a real challenge
I seriously don't know how you deal with all those bug's...I find myself itching while I'm watching your video. You are 2 strong guys mentally and physically to do what you do. I would easily lose my mind with all those bug's flying in my face...Mad respect for you both 🙏 👏 ❤
Another good one boys. Look forward to it every week
Thanks a lot!
This is what you call an epic canoe trip
Wow. You must dream about the bugs. That was crazy. Jim and I look so forward to Sunday nights. Thanks guys Shelley

Man how do you guys sleep at night all those bugs they must be in your tent. That's how I know you love what you do thanks for sharing with us. 🙂🇨🇦👍👍👍👍
You’re very welcome! By ya, we try to let as few in a possible and then before bed we spend a few mins trying to kill them all in the tent.
Great episode. Keep them coming.
Thanks for not saying ," will Ted and Jim make it out of this sketchy spot ? Tune in next week and see what happens. oh it was a fun ride." Thumbs up #154.
I didn’t leave it as a cliff hanger! I wouldn’t do that to you.
Awesome Jim! Thanks 😊
Magic just going to watch it 00.12 hrs in Scotland just now fitting wooden floor tomorrow at 08.00 hrs.
The volume of water is nuts, so amazing what you guys are undertaking.. enjoying every second..
Thanks a lot!
Incredible.... What tension when Ted had to grab the branch. Good stuff. Editing is getting better each episode.
Thanks

Haha, same with us!
So well deserved campsite at end of this one!! And the bugs are just insane 😲!! Lots of joy amidst the intensity of the natural world and am loving every minute of it you two. THANKS!! Barret
Most often we see the "Catch and Release technique". Here at 4:50 we can witness Ted exercising a perfect "Fillet and Release" technique. Nice!
We watched this exciting episode last night and thoroughly enjoyed. It must take a long time to edit these episodes and we are anxiously awaiting the next.
Thanks
Just another day at the office for you guys, but for the rest of us its high adventure and excitement. Love every minute of every episode.

Scary Rapids! Strange how someone left all that stuff. Great video. Thanks
Wow!! Pretty intense there for a few . But at the start it looked like 2 balls with a couple quick strikes eh 🔥💪🐺👏😁
Thanks for watching
I'm enjoying every minute of the Beyond the Height of Land series and all the other content that both of you put out there. Keep doing what ya do and I'll keep watching ya do it!
Nice one lads, always better safe than sorry.
So awesome to see, as today is 25th of Jan/22 in SW Ontario and it's alittle frosty out.
I never skip the ads on Jim’s vids!

Great video!!!
Epic trip. I eagerly await each episode. Quit bungling and post them sooner, lol.
Lol, I’ll do my best
Love your videos. Feels like I’m there
Thanks a lot!
Must have been nice to get home and away from all those bugs .
Even if there's Blackflies a sqiters around the homestead it would feel like nothing after this trip .
Mike
Even in spite of the challenges, I envy you and this experience - wish I was there…especially as the snow continues to fly outside my window! ❄️
Hi from Syracuse NY USA everyone
Intense rapid!! Stakes are a lot higher when you’re THAT remote
Crickey guys you were even cooking the bugs. That would have been my worst nightmare all those mosquitoes
Our Sunday show does not disappoint, great footage and tense moments but glad your both safe. Just think there is more of this to come not only this trip but floods and high water as mother earth changes .love the video stay safe
I’m not sure if that’s the reasoning behind it in this case but it could be, typically they’ve been seeking dryer and warmer conditions here.
You guys are awesome! Thanks for the another amazing video!!
Absolutely the best show around thank you Men
That flooded section and current looked amazing strong, and somehow that episode escalated pretty fast :-) and you made it through. Thumps up, good fight guys, thanks for all your efforts to film this real thing!
I remember walking beans and detasseling corn in the hot humid summer air with to flies, gnats, mosquitos buzzing and biting at sun drenched skin and being miserable beyond teenage patience. Thanks a lot, I think maybe we’ve just had a lot of practice getting attacked by bugs.
Beauty!! Love it Jim! Great trip man
