Recently been watching your flipping cars video and have been extremely impressed. The content is very high quality so I automatically figured youd have atleast 100k subscribers. Then I checked.... only 7k I was astonished your channel easily deserves hundreds of thousands of subs and I hope it gains that many very soon. Keep up the great work man, people like you make youtube great!
Great video! Just wanted to point out that I was able to replace the ballast without taking out the entire headlight, you just need to have a long screwdriver. Make sure you have the rubber seal too which I didn't seem to see in the video. It's a thick piece that is sandwiched between the ballast and headlight that keeps water out.
Hey man, I’m seeing there’s 2 models of the e92 ballast, you took out the 9 digit one and put in a 11 digit with the 01 at the end. Do you know if it matters which one you buy?
hey man i just saw ur bmw flip video and wondered if u were to cut & polish that single stage paint, is it do able because i know that polish is cutting trough the clear coat but with single stage paint howd it work?
Same thing brother. Cut and polish. It will never have the deep shine that you get with the clear but it's the same process. Wait about a week for full dry time
Hey man i hope you can answer my question one of my angel eyes stoped working , its my first bmw do you have any idea of what it could be ?, great vid btw hi from central america
It could be the ballast. The ballast has two ports in the bottom for the low beam and the angel eyes. I have a buddy who lives in georgia (the country) and he codes bmws. He may be able to help more.
@@Bryan302213 ohh no brother as long as you have a labtop and a obd port that plugs into your laptop he can get into your car's computer and see the problem
Hey! My brother owns a (US version) 2011 E92 and we're currently having an issue: we replaced all the ballasts and modules for the left headlight. Do we need to program them in order for the angel eye to run? I think I have the same issue as the guy from Panama in the comments below. I'm also from Central America and our local BMW doesn't receive any imported cars for service and maintenance. Thanks in advance!
Ballast, igniter or it can even be a bad ground inside of the headlights. The wiring on these headlights dry out and break apart super easily so you could have some stripped wires inside the headlight housing. Let me know if the ballast fixes your issue if not you can email me on my business email in the description and I can tell you how to open up the headlight housing
I have a 2007 328i & the ballast is not this type. Just found out the hard way. Two t-30’s & one back bolt that you can access from the top. So moral it’s not all e90’s but more specific
@@Shabbe02 oh brother I'm not 100% sure. You'd have to look at the part number. Originally I got one that was like 25 bucks and it didn't work and then I returned it and got one that was like 50 bucks and it worked perfect
@@BuddysDIY what were the differences between the two was it that one had 01 and the other didn’t? I noticed the 9 digit non 01 modules are more expensive on eBay

Do new ballasts for adaptive xenon headlights need to be coded/programmed?? What about the control module unit as well?
Omg what a work for just removing the headlights
Yeah it a pain. But better than a shop charging you hundreds!

I would just replace the angel eye. It would be just a bad bulb. What have you tried?
@@BuddysDIY yes I tried but its not working could it be the ballast ? The angel eye its the only thing that its not working

Very helpful. Thanks for posting
Low and high beams went out on both headlights changed the xenon bulbs on both and low beams still won’t turn on , could it be the ballast .?

Did your new ballast have a rubber seal?
Great vid man
Thanks as always for the support yousif!
I don’t get why some cars have headlight washer, I’ve seen some with wipers, what is the point 😂 😂 😂
Extra junk you have to worry about breaking. 🤣
very good
Thank you brother!
Are they the same for every E9x ???
You asking if it's the same steps taking them out?
@@BuddysDIY I meant the ballast itself since the E90/91 have different headlights compared to the E92/93. My bad for not being clear on what i meant.
