Good job Jared, this season is so good, you and your team went wild, favourite part is defo the concert, challenge wise probably the thing where members had to pick things to integrate into the song, judging the music tbh wasnt my favourite part, it should be more enjoyed less judged and also biiiiig props on choosing the musicians, love them so much! Next year bigger concert!!

Agreed. The pairings worked so well. Especially Austin's song with Soulfire. They definitely need to do more collabs. You can see how much more capable he is as a vocalist and a writer when he isn't restrained.

The bands were entertaining but the judges didn't really add much interest for me. The people who watch this are capable of judging who truly won and it was definitely Graystone (as per the live chat polls). Maybe if there's 3 bands and 3 judges, each judge could mentor a band rather than giving random amounts of dollars based on whatever they feel like. Also the "everyone wins" vocal contest made the whole process pointless.
@@mediafeeeder Aeris 100% outdid Graystone this season, I am biased towards them loving Austin, Nick and Paula, but they didn't do as well this season. Even in episodes they clashed and had issues with eachother while others just had issues connecting. Graystone did some awesome stuff overall and had great moments, but they didn't deserve the win IMO, and honestly...who wants to see them win 2 years in a row. This....hopefully will allow Aeris back for S3 and 2 whole new bands. Introducing new people is likely more/most important than giving Graystone continual wins. They also likely took JD out of judging because of this.
@@AfolSam I'm not saying I wanted to see them win 2 years in a row, I am saying they did win (in actual reality). The majority of people who watched this season agree and that's what truly matters. I very much expect Graystone and Soulfire will have more interest following this show than Aeris will, but time will tell. Given the way the vocal contest saw three winners, the whole judging process was then rendered pointless, which includes the result. I agree we need to see new faces and not have people constantly returning, but a lot of people watched just to see Graystone return which has helped the viewing figures. If Aeris return for Series 3, I'll probably stick to watching the Right Now podcast with John Goblkon. At least John will be awake for filming.
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate what Jared does for the YT music scene. Between this and the Shred Collabs and bringing in some big names like Howard and Matt and Tim and many others. Getting all these guys in the shows the views and the notoriety. Jared doesn't even milk these. He leaves it all on the bands to release their songs and the individuals to release the behind the scenes stuff. Jared is awesome.
They are just a group of goblin energy legends and I am already unsure of how to handle the future lack of this. The moment Austin and Justin do anything together on stage I am fucking hooked

You can tell Alexa is so much more confident on an acoustic kit. On the E kit it usually felt like the lack of dynamics and feedback were messing with her and she was holding back. She did so well on the gig, her grooves had such power and clarity. I love this series and cannot wait for season 3.

These bands are already magical, but you made them sound super awesome in this episode! Thank you! Also, Jimena instantly became super sexy when she performed in this environment.
@@dehasim compared to the craziness that is greystone it's hard to seem animated, but Aeris had plenty of stage presence. I personally feel greystone won, but all the bands killed it.
This goes to show how many of us musicians get in our own way and overthink every detail until we’re totally paralyzed. Sometimes, you just need to get in a room with a bunch of people IN REAL LIFE and commit to writing a song a day. Restriction can sometimes breed creativity to a new or different level you didnt think was possible. Not 1 bad song written was written from any band that week. In order to make it these days, you need to work smart *and* hard - part of that is challenging yourself by doing things that make you uncomfortable without running away. Even as a judge I left with so much more than I had coming in. No matter where your career takes you, alway keep that beginner's mindset. Otherwise you stop growing as a person which, if youre writing music from the heart, will stop your musical growth. So immensely proud of all the bands for putting themselves out there like never before. Huge props to our incredible crew who worked hard and made all of our crazy ideas come to life. Lastly... a MASSIVE congrats to the winners of Season 2! Oh, and if you're upset on who won... TAKE THAT ANGER AND GO WRITE A SONG.

You see so often in Hardcore sets especially, crowd members just rushing the stage for the mic and it really speaks to his connection to the scene in that way. Not that this all really needed some elaborate justification, just saying why I felt it was so special to me. Live music is fucking awesome, and all these bands killed it

Nah, Soulfire should've won. They killed that performance! And they had the most unique sound. Speaking as a vocalist, it was so cool to see Vince's energy in a legitimate live show when his voice wasnt completely worn from singing all day.
All three bands were great, but Soulfire really stood out. The first season was good in its own way, but the second season really made you feel connected to the contestants and you started worrying about each one of them. Thank you for the joy you brought me with the show.
Soulfire's performance in this episode was far and away the best one for me. The fact that they came in _third_ here feels like it shouldn't be possible, but it speaks to the unreal, inhuman levels of talent and showmanship present in everyone on this show, in all the bands. Absolutely incredible job, all of you. I genuinely hope all these bands live on past this show, I want to hear more from all of you
yeah it was really hard with the amount of talent. any of the bands could have won easily but this is just how the scoring fell remember there were mini games and silly stuff in there as well to earn points

Soulfire's set was nothing short of legendary, wasn't a huge fan of Vince's vocals during the practice, but he killed it live, mad chemistry, best drummer, best guitarists, really smashed it out of the park. 1 week band killing it FR

How does these episodes doesn't have at least 1 million views yet ? The production is great, and the overall flow is a real step up from Season 1, binged the whole thing in one afternoon. All the bands were amazing in their own way, I couldn't pick a clear winner. Thanks, Jared! I really hope the algorithm boosts this series, it deserves it!
The release schedule and marketing is bad. Do it weekly, add a thing to the end of the video saying hey thanks again here's the next episode, etc. Have a watch party, give away a prize or two during that, etc Instead they just batch it all at once and if you're in the know great but if you're not good luck. I'm just arm chair quarterbacking this comment and have no experience in media but every other TH-cam channel I follow does the above.
This season was such a huge improvement on last year. More music content and less random stuff, and when there were non-musical challenges they were tasteful. Very nicely done
Unpopular opinion but SoulFire is so under appreciated and I loved them as a band. I really loved seeing them pull together and what looked like all long time friends who went different directions but came back to reunite. So Far Away was a banger and so was the song with Austin. Also I just really could care less for 80s hair metal music but I am officially now a fan of Ricky. Especially since he looked the most out of place but always being a team player and looking like such a great person to be around throughout the show.
Most of the people obsessed with the 80s either weren’t alive during it and only see the really stereotypical trends that were the most weird and interesting, or were very young during that time and just have fond early childhood memories. From what I have seen A lot of the older people who were adults during that time usually kind of just look at the 80s as like “ya it was fine I guess” since they lived through actual mundane of it all like any other decade. That being said, I appreciate Soulfire’s more old school influence. Plenty of great music from that time either way
They were my favorite, and Honestly I had a feeling they were gonna win after the first song performance. But this season was a lot more dynamic and competitive than the last so it went back and forth constantly in terms of who had the most momentum. That being said, this is the second time the show seemed to be biased towards the bands doing metalcore instead of the band doing something a bit different and more old school
I'm really glad that you took the criticism from the first season and implemented it into this one. The focus really was on the music and that's what it's all about. I like that the goofy stuff was just in the little skits and side quests. All of the bands were fantastic, they sounded incredible on the stage, and any one of them could have taken the win. THIS is a show I'd watch another season of.
Wanna give a huge shoutout to Soulfire. The combined musicianship in your band is crazy, fantastic songwriting that felt original, especially combined with Vince‘ voice, and you guys put so much effort into rehearsing and improving your songs right until the end and performed then on a tighntess level I didn‘t think was possible after one week. After this finale you should’ve taken the win in my book and I wanna give a little extra credit to Logan who I feel played a big part in all of this. Great job, guys! 👏🔥
Soulfire and Graystone absolutely blew me away. They were a pleasure to watch. I liked Aeris's songs and music but I felt they were lackluster compared to the others. Edge of Time was sick! Give me more Soulfire with Austin and Vince together!

My jaw dropped when I heard that. Metal screaming and throat singing are very similar techniques, but I've never actually heard a metal singer do that. So cool.
@@allancavalcante8170 you can absolutelely still hear the breath of the live drums. It sounds great. Mixing in triggered signal is the way to go especially in Metal. You aint getting that real larger than life slam otherwise that SO many metal songs really benefit from
Honestly, I would prefer raw audio from the camera instead of edited performances to see how they actually did. Not talking mixed, talking edited. Snare and kick sounds like sample replaced, but I get it, most people will think it's all real sound from that night.
@@oleksiistri8429 the respect cover itself was so different to what any of the other bands did. Aeris had the best singer and they knew how to use her. Compared to them I think the other two bands took less risks despite being somewhat one dimensional. I’m pretty sure the other bands could have done way more while aeris maximised their potential.
Gonna be hard, since Trivium is one of the biggest bands in Metalcore. Matt’s also extremely busy with family shit as well. Would be hard to get him here.

Soulfire takes the cake in my book. I did not expect to like them at the beginning of the season but they grew to be my favorite. When Vince joined aeris on stage it really changed the chemistry of that band. They seemed more comfortable and confident during that song. Logan is a hero. Fantastic job. Soulfire needs justice

More of this! I can understand people having their favourites and disagreeing with the judges on the final decision but at the end of the day we got one hell of a kick ass season with great bands all around.
Just here to say Alexa's drumming got so much tighter during the performance and I genuinely feel so proud of her just watching her absolutely KILL on stage!! Everybody was amazing :>
For sure, I feel like there wasn’t another episode that passed without me thinking “damn, they really choose the overproduced metalcore vibe, but it can’t sound overproduced with the drumming isn’t tight”. But then, when it really counts, I didn’t miss anything on the drumming side. Which is something so hard to change in small period of time, it deserves the highest of kudos.
@@iurigrangI'm wondering if there was some post production done for the final edit. Cos the audio for all the bands was very clean and obviously routes through the desk into a DAW. So it would be very easy to tidy everything up. A lot of big bands do that for "live" videos they release

the recordings were very much edited, unfortunately. I see Alexa hitting a cymbal often in the live video when there is none in the recording, for example.
That's because there are no symbol mics. In person you'd be able to hear them but without the mic it is very hard to hear on the recording. Not sure why they didn't mic them knowing they were recording it.
So cool when Vince joined Austin so Vince could do the cleans on the 2nd chorus and Austin could do the heavy!! I think that might have been my favorite part of the episode!!
All 3 of these bands have become some of my favorite human beings and I hope that we see recorded versions of Aeris and Soulfire in the future. This was the most genuine and real series that has drawn me back into music and I am so grateful for Jared making this happen. I have cried more times than I ever have for a “reality” show - Please keep this going and please keep it how you made it this season.
Honestly need to shoutout Vince, Garrett, Damien and David as quiet mvps. Garrett, David and Damien were PERFECT each and every performance and brought so much consistency to their bands that must've made their bands' lives so much easier. And Vince imo is the MVP of the entire season. Seems like such a wonderful human to be around and absolutely blew my mind every time he had a mic in his hands. Just personally feel like these guys didn't get enough love on screen lol. Thank you Jared for bringing this show to life and can't wait to see what happens next year!!

I just discovered Musician's Mansion last night and binged the entire series. It was incredibly entertaining! Jared, you've created an amazing show with top-notch production and genuinely joyful content. I hope more people get a chance to experience this. And please don't stop making these series.
Jared, this new season was phenomenal. Way more music based and less Fear Factor, the bands were random and not prechosen, and you had 3 separate judges from yourself, and it made the season great. You really took the first season and made every improvement I wanted to see. Great job
For Graystone it's not a matter of if, but when. In fact they released Pond Shrieker with a music vidéo back in September and already released thé vidéo for Rikiki Tikki, just after the first round of episodes. Aeris' songs are coming as teased in Jimena's vlogs, and Soulfire HAVE TO put their slapper-dappers out.
dude i was literally crying on each band’s set. all of them fucking nailed it, each member showed the power of their capabilities and from now on i am a big fan of fucking aeris, graystone and soulfire. no words can describe how much inspiration i gathered through watching all of the episodes of this season. god damn this project deserves so much more recognition!💞
Aeris winner?! Don´t get me wrong, they are all amazing musicians, but Graystone and Soulfire were clearly one level up, the performance, the energy...
As much as I like the other bands. Aeris is a winner for me mainly because the amount of growth. They did not click at all at the beginning. While Soulfire just mostly melded together super well from the get go and having Rikki is hella unfair lol.
Tbh I was sure that she would sound much better as soon as she got a proper acoustic kit to play from personal experience: the feel doesn’t quite translate on edrums
The drums have been heavily edited, unfortunately. I mean, not just drums, and definitely not just her band, but I think this is important to keep in mind.
Every band did amazing, my personal pick would've been Graystone, then Soulfire, then Aeris. But they all had such awesome performances. Kudos to everyone for pulling through and making it all work. Thanks for the awesome show Jared and Angel. You guys killed it this season. Highly look forward to Season 3.
I've already watched this, but came back to say Kacey's range is the standout element from this season to me. Clean, fry, high, low-they have no limits.
One thing nobody seems to appreciate enough is how compact Graystone sounds. Drums, bass, guitars, locked in. They feel like they're touring together for years. Vocals are second to none of course. Austin is the MVP for sure! But considering this, they also sound great and cohesive with Kacey.
Soulfire's cover of Holy Diver sounded magnificent this time around, not to mention how they redid the duel solo section and ended the song with so much energy. My favorite performance of the show by far. I really thought they were going to win with a set that sounded so good but I had to remember the winner was based on dollar amount! Aeris did a really great job all week, so consistent and David and Kacey are amazing writers. Graystone still delivered what we wanted and proved all week why they were invited back from the first Musician Mansion! A fantastic season, miles better produced than the first!

Soulfire's set was absolutely incredible, it just felt epic, melodic yet heavy, those harmonies give you chills. Garrett's guitar tone is living in my head rent free, that shiit is TIGHT.
Jared, I love that you listened to viewer feedback after season 1 and created a format that put music (rather than "content") front and centre for season 2. This was a captivating watch! Awesome job everyone in all three bands :D

Graystone did some awesome stuff overall and had great moments, but they didn't deserve the win IMO, and honestly...who wants to see them win 2 years in a row. This....hopefully will allow Aeris back for S3 and 2 whole new bands. Introducing new people is likely more/most important than giving Graystone continual wins. They also likely took JD out of judging because of this.
@@AfolSam I'm not saying I wanted to see them win 2 years in a row, I am saying they did win (in actual reality). The majority of people who watched this season agree and that's what truly matters. I very much expect Graystone and Soulfire will have more interest following this show than Aeris will, but time will tell. Given the way the vocal contest saw three winners, the whole judging process was then rendered pointless, which includes the result. I agree we need to see new faces and not have people constantly returning, but a lot of people watched just to see Graystone return which has helped the viewing figures. If Aeris return for Series 3, I'll probably stick to watching the Right Now podcast with John Goblkon. At least John will be awake for filming.
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate what Jared does for the YT music scene. Between this and the Shred Collabs and bringing in some big names like Howard and Matt and Tim and many others. Getting all these guys in the shows the views and the notoriety. Jared doesn't even milk these. He leaves it all on the bands to release their songs and the individuals to release the behind the scenes stuff. Jared is awesome.

You can tell Alexa is so much more confident on an acoustic kit. On the E kit it usually felt like the lack of dynamics and feedback were messing with her and she was holding back. She did so well on the gig, her grooves had such power and clarity. I love this series and cannot wait for season 3.

This goes to show how many of us musicians get in our own way and overthink every detail until we’re totally paralyzed. Sometimes, you just need to get in a room with a bunch of people IN REAL LIFE and commit to writing a song a day. Restriction can sometimes breed creativity to a new or different level you didnt think was possible. Not 1 bad song written was written from any band that week. In order to make it these days, you need to work smart *and* hard - part of that is challenging yourself by doing things that make you uncomfortable without running away.
Even as a judge I left with so much more than I had coming in. No matter where your career takes you, alway keep that beginner's mindset. Otherwise you stop growing as a person which, if youre writing music from the heart, will stop your musical growth. So immensely proud of all the bands for putting themselves out there like never before. Huge props to our incredible crew who worked hard and made all of our crazy ideas come to life. Lastly... a MASSIVE congrats to the winners of Season 2!

You see so often in Hardcore sets especially, crowd members just rushing the stage for the mic and it really speaks to his connection to the scene in that way. Nah, Soulfire should've won. They killed that performance! And they had the most unique sound. Speaking as a vocalist, it was so cool to see Vince's energy in a legitimate live show when his voice wasnt completely worn from singing all day.

All three bands were great, but Soulfire really stood out. The first season was good in its own way, but the second season really made you feel connected to the contestants and you started worrying about each one of them. Thank you for the joy you brought me with the show.
Soulfire's performance in this episode was far and away the best one for me. The fact that they came in _third_ here feels like it shouldn't be possible, but it speaks to the unreal, inhuman levels of talent and showmanship present in everyone on this show, in all the bands. Absolutely incredible job, all of you. I genuinely hope all these bands live on past this show, I want to hear more from all of you
yeah it was really hard with the amount of talent. any of the bands could have won easily but this is just how the scoring fell remember there were mini games and silly stuff in there as well to earn points

The production is great, and the overall flow is a real step up from Season 1, binged the whole thing in one afternoon. All the bands were amazing in their own way, I couldn't pick a clear winner. Thanks, Jared! I really hope the algorithm boosts this series, it deserves it!

This season was such a huge improvement on last year. More music content and less random stuff, and when there were non-musical challenges they were tasteful. Very nicely done

Unpopular opinion but SoulFire is so under appreciated and I loved them as a band. I really loved seeing them pull together and what looked like all long time friends who went different directions but came back to reunite. So Far Away was a banger and so was the song with Austin.
Also I just really could care less for 80s hair metal music but I am officially now a fan of Ricky. Especially since he looked the most out of place but always being a team player and looking like such a great person to be around throughout the show.
I love Soulfire, but I didn't dig the 80s theme. I lived through the 80s, and it really wasn't that great. So far away is a banger 🔥🔥🔥.
Most of the people obsessed with the 80s either weren’t alive during it and only see the really stereotypical trends that were the most weird and interesting, or were very young during that time and just have fond early childhood memories. From what I have seen A lot of the older people who were adults during that time usually kind of just look at the 80s as like “ya it was fine I guess” since they lived through actual mundane of it all like any other decade. That being said, I appreciate Soulfire’s more old school influence. Plenty of great music from that time either way
They were my favorite, and Honestly I had a feeling they were gonna win after the first song performance. But this season was a lot more dynamic and competitive than the last so it went back and forth constantly in terms of who had the most momentum. That being said, this is the second time the show seemed to be biased towards the bands doing metalcore instead of the band doing something a bit different and more old school

I'm really glad that you took the criticism from the first season and implemented it into this one. The focus really was on the music and that's what it's all about. I like that the goofy stuff was just in the little skits and side quests. All of the bands were fantastic, they sounded incredible on the stage, and any one of them could have taken the win. THIS is a show I'd watch another season of.

The combined musicianship in your band is crazy, fantastic songwriting that felt original, especially combined with Vince‘ voice, and you guys put so much effort into rehearsing and improving your songs right until the end and performed then on a tighntess level I didn‘t think was possible after one week. After this finale you should’ve taken the win in my book and I wanna give a little extra credit to Logan who I feel played a big part in all of this. Great job, guys! 👏🔥

These performances were mixed perfectly too which makes the drums pop even more. Kudos to who has done that

Honestly, I would prefer raw audio from the camera instead of edited performances to see how they actually did. Not talking mixed, talking edited. Snare and kick sounds like sample replaced, but I get it, most people will think it's all real sound from that night.

Compared to them I think the other two bands took less risks despite being somewhat one dimensional. I’m pretty sure the other bands could have done way more while aeris maximised their potential.

Soulfire takes the cake in my book. I did not expect to like them at the beginning of the season but they grew to be my favorite. When Vince joined aeris on stage it really changed the chemistry of that band. They seemed more comfortable and confident during that song. Logan is a hero. Fantastic job. Soulfire needs justice

More of this! I can understand people having their favourites and disagreeing with the judges on the final decision but at the end of the day we got one hell of a kick ass season with great bands all around.

For sure, I feel like there wasn’t another episode that passed without me thinking “damn, they really choose the overproduced metalcore vibe, but it can’t sound overproduced with the drumming isn’t tight”.
But then, when it really counts, I didn’t miss anything on the drumming side. Which is something so hard to change in small period of time, it deserves the highest of kudos.
@@iurigrangI'm wondering if there was some post production done for the final edit. Cos the audio for all the bands was very clean and obviously routes through the desk into a DAW. So it would be very easy to tidy everything up. A lot of big bands do that for "live" videos they release
@@mrmac6356For sure there was, now that I’ve watched more of it, you can see a lot of it doesn’t sync up with the video. Damn shame for one of the rare instances where music is a competition.
the recordings were very much edited, unfortunately. I see Alexa hitting a cymbal often in the live video when there is none in the recording, for example.
That's because there are no symbol mics. In person you'd be able to hear them but without the mic it is very hard to hear on the recording. Not sure why they didn't mic them knowing they were recording it.
So cool when Vince joined Austin so Vince could do the cleans on the 2nd chorus and Austin could do the heavy!! I think that might have been my favorite part of the episode!!
All 3 of these bands have become some of my favorite human beings and I hope that we see recorded versions of Aeris and Soulfire in the future. This was the most genuine and real series that has drawn me back into music and I am so grateful for Jared making this happen. I have cried more times than I ever have for a “reality” show - Please keep this going and please keep it how you made it this season.

I just discovered Musician's Mansion last night and binged the entire series. It was incredibly entertaining! Jared, you've created an amazing show with top-notch production and genuinely joyful content. I hope more people get a chance to experience this. And please don't stop making these series.
Jared, this new season was phenomenal. Way more music based and less Fear Factor, the bands were random and not prechosen, and you had 3 separate judges from yourself, and it made the season great. You really took the first season and made every improvement I wanted to see. Great job

As much as I like the other bands. Aeris is a winner for me mainly because the amount of growth. They did not click at all at the beginning. While Soulfire just mostly melded together super well from the get go and having Rikki is hella unfair lol.
Also the Respect Cover was the best Cover Song imo

Tbh I was sure that she would sound much better as soon as she got a proper acoustic kit to play from personal experience: the feel doesn’t quite translate on edrums

Every band did amazing, my personal pick would've been Graystone, then Soulfire, then Aeris. But they all had such awesome performances. Kudos to everyone for pulling through and making it all work. Thanks for the awesome show Jared and Angel. You guys killed it this season. Highly look forward to Season 3.

I've already watched this, but came back to say Kacey's range is the standout element from this season to me. Clean, fry, high, low-they have no limits.
Man oh man, this season was fenomenal, they all won I mean, all of their songs are completely bangers.

One thing nobody seems to appreciate enough is how compact Graystone sounds. Drums, bass, guitars, locked in. They feel like they're touring together for years. Vocals are second to none of course. Austin is the MVP for sure! But considering this, they also sound great and cohesive with Kacey.
Soulfire's cover of Holy Diver sounded magnificent this time around, not to mention how they redid the duel solo section and ended the song with so much energy. My favorite performance of the show by far. I really thought they were going to win with a set that sounded so good but I had to remember the winner was based on dollar amount! Aeris did a really great job all week, so consistent and David and Kacey are amazing writers. Graystone still delivered what we wanted and proved all week why they were invited back from the first Musician Mansion! A fantastic season, miles better produced than the first!
That‘s interesting, I thought it was one of the weakest songs among the twelve. They couldn’t really make it their own :O but taste matters and that‘s great somehow

Fucking air this on TV man. This show is so fucking good. So many incredibly talented people, insanely good music and very enjoyable to watch. I am excited for more to come.
Soulfire's set was absolutely incredible, it just felt epic, melodic yet heavy, those harmonies give you chills. Garrett's guitar tone is living in my head rent free, that shiit is TIGHT.
Jared, I love that you listened to viewer feedback after season 1 and created a format that put music (rather than "content") front and centre for season 2. This was a captivating watch!

This season was such a huuuuuge step up from the last one. The performances in the end were all 3 absolutely incredible. It's crazy what every band accomplished in just 1 week.
Sadly Paula didn't get to tell her amazing joke at the end of this one.
Great season. I loved all the artists of different backgrounds coming together to form music as a group. This is the kinda thing all musicians should watch.
