    I've had a Workaway experience on my own on a sheep farm in Canada. First time in Canada, first time facing the real winter time (I'm from Brazil where it's obviously pretty warm) first time travelling by myself and first time volunteering. Wow, that was the best experience of my whole life. I met great people, improved my english skills, learned a bit of french and got to challenge myself in a thousand different ways. Being alone in another country surrounded by strangers you had never seen in your entire life and making the best memories out of it was incredible. Plus, I saved a lot of money since I didn't have to pay for acommodation or food. I definitely recommend Workaway for everybody who wants to live a crazy adventure. This year I'm trying another one with a friend and we just can't wait! The best people in life are free!

    This was so beneficial for an old, untechnicalicly savvy older lady like me.🤦🏾‍♀️ I'm go ma do this with my 11 yr old daughter. The US has ruined me, and now my baby, and I can not have that! Plus, I think she'd benifmore from experiencing life, learning other cultures, forced socialization (instead of being glued to her phone all the time) than she would in the American classroom. WE READY! This was so informative. Thank you..👍🏾

    hi! not sure if you’ll see this comment, but you mentioned you are an actor, as am I. I was wondering what it’s like when it comes to acting career & workaway. I’m worried that if I do workaway I might be missing out on auditions and potential film projects. I’m also worried that my agent might get annoyed if I’m away too often. Did you have to take a “break” from acting while you were in Guatemala or were you able to do auditions remotely?

    • @mitchcap82
      @mitchcap82 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually dealing with this as well, I'm considering working in Maui for a few months. Your agent definitely isn't going to be super happy about you going away because acting fluctuates so much, but if you're willing to fly back for a big opportunity I'm sure you can figure it out. Let me know how it goes, best of luck!
