I remember when Mechanics of Dysfunction had just come out, I was about to turn 13 years old and up to that point I had listened to slipknots first album on repeat and a bunch of pantera and fear factory cds I stole from my parents and would try and sneak back when done. I saw that Mechanics CD at an old FYE and thought this looks cool let's try it out. Changed my life forever. To this day they're still my favorite band and biggest musical influence in taste. So glad to see you boys back and just straight up owning the technical death metal scene
Very first two CDs that i've bought were Gojira From Mars to Sirius and Beneath the Massacre Mechanics of Dysfunction, i was ~15yo. I'm from Europe and bought it from US, it cost me a little fortune(especially for a teenager), and took like a month to arrive. I'm very glad i did that, both CDs are master peaces.
@@psycold haha if it makes you feel better I'm only 26 and my parents were only teens when they had me so they're not thatttt old (; haha on a lighter note you all had way cooler and more creative music as a whole. Theres some truly great shit out now but nothing like it used to be.
@@tadasdidvalis3246 I didn't discover Gojira until I started to dabble in djent and meshuggah more as I got older but that album is a work of art. Such great riff structuring throughout the whole album

holyshiet787 For me old stuff is better because it’s more structured and has dat “Montreal deathcore” groovy vibe but what can you do? The band’s been developing its own unique style over last 10 years. They’re super fast and ultra-technical now yet melodic AF. Put a hell lot of effort into this release and we must appreciate it!

Their vocalist is waaaay better and more versatile, the problem is, he doesn't fit that well in the band not because of his skills, but because of the Instrumentals
First you had the tastiest shred of all time and +500 bpm drum and in the end u got a skull crushingly heavy breakdown, officially impossible to go heavier than this!

Love the trees in the background of the cinematography with the color Red. If you drove on the Canadian freeways up here in North east Ontario/South West Quebec, all you see is trees and fields. This kind of scenery is embedded in your head forever, if you traveled around here for long periods of time or travel to work everyday etc. There's a lot of shit that goes on in these forests.... and the video kinda expresses this creepy forest overlay with blood. it has my imagination rolling.

Man the amount of energy this album displays is just brutal!!! Such a raw and powerful album!!! You guys did an incredible job! Been a fan since the beginning and you guys never fail to amaze me!!🤘🤘🤘
