    I'm on the edge of my seat half way through this. I bought a 2000 XKR nearly 6 months ago. Tomorrow I finally get to see it as I've been in the Middle East and it's in New Zealand.

      @@ccuk I have thanks, thank you for your replies, would love to see you in NZ sometime. Having some teething issues, had radiator and oil cooler before I got back to NZ and work wasn't done well. Transmission oil was left very low so the tiny bit of driving I got to do may have resulted in a possible transmission rebuild (that I'm not liable for), this is based on a few aluminium shavings in the pan. Just discovered that tensioners were changed in Japan so that's good. Thanks again.

    Oh well done! When your car didn’t throw any codes I thought “oh dear, this will be pricey…” Just goes to show that 1980s mechanicing is still appropriate. Cheers Nick

    Hi John. Great video as always. I do like a who dunnit😁. The XK8 air snorkel is held down with a small bolt rather than a radial clamp. Ive never noticed if the R's are different. If there is an M6 hole on the top surface of the throttle body (engine bay side) then maybe you could plastic weld on a little bracket to tie it down? P.S. Its amazing how good your smart phones image and audio is👍

      Thanks for the feedback John. I will take a look to see if there is a hole. I have read on forums that this is a common occurrence on XKR's and Jaguar always check it on a service.

    My xjr has two 8mm bolts that holds that down

    • @ccuk
      @ccuk  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am guessing that was as a result of this design issue. Good to know.

    Should the ABS light be on?

    • @ccuk
      @ccuk  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. The ABS light was on for an unrelated reason. That was sorted by changing a damaged rotor. Good spot!
