Architectural Works I expected to find a comment like this. With a person who doesn't understand the situation F1 is in at the moment. No one could put a car like the McLaren or Williams or Sauber in Pole. They simply aren't fast enough. Lewis is in one of the best cars, and he is able to show its performs ace by putting it on pole almost every weekend. People who say, do it in a bad car, or he can only do it with the car he is in, do understand Motorsport at all. Every single season in F1 you have driver and a team who are the best. Lewis has been that this season and for four other previous seasons. Michael did it in 7 seasons. Fangio in 5. Vettel in 4. Prost in 4. Senna in 3. Alonso in 2. Jenson Button in 1. The whole point of a Motorsport competition is to qualify and race to see at the end of a season who is the fastest and who is the best. And crown that person and team champions.
I have a theory about that. Mercedes has the best car on the grid(I know this is not a secret) but they lose races only to make people feel like there is a rivalry. There is no way you can win for 5 years without any close season ends.
Zak H have you not read the comments on any of these videos? People say ferrari has the fastest car and redbull second fastest. Please explain to me how ferrari is fastest i really want to know. Yes they have a slight straight line speed advantage but there are 15x more corners on tracks than there are straights. In quali mercedes were 3 tenths faster in the last sector alone. Also the ferrari cannot put its power dpwn like the mercedes. So please, from an unbiased standpoint tell me how ferrari is the fastest car, and mercedes is not in terms of all around performance.
Ferraris definitely running with less wings (kimi 326kmph on the straight compared to hamilton's 320kmph). Also the mercs were able to make up almost 0.5seconds in the 3rd sector. So don't read too much into the quali gaps. Merc setup for quali while Ferrari and Red Bull are setup for race trim.

if the mercedes is pulling away in sector 3 ferrari will never pass them on track, you can count on that, dirty air is a massive problem and they will lose like a second only in sector 3
Leclerc is driver of the year for me. The top 6, you expect them to be where they are, but Charles surprised me with his maturity in his drive, and interviews.
Literally just has to ask the team to turn up the car. The Merc car is far above any other in F1 they just make drama and try to make it seem like they have to try hard to win. @@TheJimmu007 well in fact Kimi had the best year since he returned to Ferrari. Last year he was 100 points behind Bottas in Abu Dabi! 100. Just think of it. And now he is slightly ahead. He got a win at last and a bunch of podiums. This shows both how much Kimi improved despite he is 39 and also how much Mercs destroyed Valtteri. Also Kimi looks quite happy while Bottas is very upset. So Valtteri has a really nightmare season, Kimi had several very disappointing races but generally he is fine.
highlights for me: Q2 leclerc's lap was amazing getting momentarily p3 and fastest 2nd sector, also grosjean did amazing job in Q3, and finally I knew mercedes talking about engine wear/problems in fp1 were just sandbag I knew they had the resources to be 1,2 again
I don't mind massively if a pay to play driver is of decent quality, but Stroll pays to drive and i honestly can't identify a shred of talent in the man
Glad Kubica will be back but honestly feel bad for Sirotkin. The guy actually performed pretty well this year for being a rookie and having the worst car by far on the grid. A shame is f1 career was screwed over so bad.
A few weeks back I asked if you could put the highlights up before putting up the pole lap. I got a lot of grief from people but once I explained I am disabled and watching TV makes me very tired, I just use the highlights for qualifying and watch the whole race......but I still wanted the suspense of qualifying. @@afa1515 His dominance over Perez in qualifying showed massive improvement from last year. He's only had 2 and a half years and over time his racing will clean up as well and he will have far more potential than Bottas. Bottas was lucky to get Mercedes because every other driver had just signed a new deal, he was a slightly above average driver in a very quick Williams in 2014 and 2015.
@@afa1515 In the past, his qualifying could be covered up in races due to pirellis really degradable tyres but nowadays quali is actually way more important. I agree his is underrated but he would not do well in a top car as quali is really important (you only need to look at kimi and ricciardo). Tbh he is only ahead of Ocon due to Ocon's crash in Baku and his DSQ in Austin
Mercedes have 84 poles and 73 wins so far in the hybrid era. Admittedly the stats are a bit inflated by how dominant they were in 2014-16 with 56 poles and 51 wins out of 59 races. Still does make me laugh a bit when people say this isn't comparable to the Red Bull/Ferrari dominated years.

No one could put a car like the McLaren or Williams or Sauber in Pole. They simply aren't fast enough. People who say, do it in a bad car, or he can only do it with the car he is in, do understand Motorsport at all. Every single season in F1 you have driver and a team who are the best. Yes they have a slight straight line speed advantage but there are 15x more corners on tracks than there are straights. In quali mercedes were 3 tenths faster in the last sector alone. Also the ferrari cannot put its power dpwn like the mercedes. So please, from an unbiased standpoint tell me how ferrari is the fastest car, and mercedes is not in terms of all around performance.

Ferraris definitely running with less wings (kimi 326kmph on the straight compared to hamilton's 320kmph). Also the mercs were able to make up almost 0.5seconds in the 3rd sector.
So don't read too much into the quali gaps. Merc setup for quali while Ferrari and Red Bull are setup for race trim.

He got a win at last and a bunch of podiums. This shows both how much Kimi improved despite he is 39 and also how much Mercs destroyed Valtteri. Also Kimi looks quite happy while Bottas is very upset. So Valtteri has a really nightmare season, Kimi had several very disappointing races but generally he is fine.

@@afa1515 His dominance over Perez in qualifying showed massive improvement from last year. He's only had 2 and a half years and over time his racing will clean up as well and he will have far more potential than Bottas. Bottas was lucky to get Mercedes because every other driver had just signed a new deal, he was a slightly above average driver in a very quick Williams in 2014 and 2015.
@@afa1515 In the past, his qualifying could be covered up in races due to pirellis really degradable tyres but nowadays quali is actually way more important. I agree his is underrated but he would not do well in a top car as quali is really important (you only need to look at kimi and ricciardo). Tbh he is only ahead of Ocon due to Ocon's crash in Baku and his DSQ in Austin

Mercedes have 84 poles and 73 wins so far in the hybrid era. Admittedly the stats are a bit inflated by how dominant they were in 2014-16 with 56 poles and 51 wins out of 59 races. Still does make me laugh a bit when people say this isn't comparable to the Red Bull/Ferrari dominated years.

The only reason Norris is in the McLaren seat is because they didn't want to lose him to Toro Rosso. It doesn't take a genius to work out he isn't a great driver yet.
