@SilverStruck Yes I agree, it's going to be a great GAW hopefully I don't mess around & miss out on it. I'm really needing to get another Guard house box soon
G'day Silver Struck, what an amazing unboxing of vintage silver from your friend from Georgia, such a big variety of bars and rounds to add to your stack, cool that there are some new & rare additions, the huge 25oz T FOX chunky bar certainly has the wow factor, your friend is very generous to offer a mini gold Krugerrand in a future GAW, thanks for sharing an enjoyable unboxing. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🔥🎁💪👍
That little Krugerrand is super neat! I'll be planing a gaw as soon as I can to give that away along with some other items. The Fox T bar was not expected- pretty neat vintage bar, so glad to have in the stack. Thank you for watching more SS videos, you know I appreciate it!
That Krugerrand is SICK! That Chunk of silver at the start (fox) would be an amazing desk paperweight! SO many cool art bars! That Paul Bunyan is fantastic! I wish I had a friend from Georgia! I think the Bunyan is my favorite.
Oh man. I’m thinking about the melt value: 25*spot price silver. I mean I love the cleaners who take care of my office but I’m not sure I trust them *that* much!
Happy New Year Bean! I'll do a more detailed video at some point on the T Fox! My rare Prospectors are back from anacs the LCS tells me- 3 months that took. Hoping to do a completed proof collection video on those soon.
Had no idea of the T Fox until I opened it up- what a cool bar indeed! I opened the box on the 26th, so it was killing me to look inside Christmas Day, lol!
Amazing haul!! Love that big chonker!! The Paul Bunyan bar is also Hamilton Mint. Thomas Jefferson is a Madison Mint bar. Never seen a Tri-State Dragon round before!
Found the Dragon round on Ebay- that one goes for a big asking price. Thank you for the help on the two bars!! Always appreciated knowledge coming from you sir!
Dude. Super cool stuff. The 25 ounce bar is everything you could want: Interesting weight, form, design. Just a killer piece. And That Tri-State Refining dragon piece is really interesting. Awesome.
That first big chunky bar was incredible! Those longer landscape bars I like...but they drive me nuts. I have, on occasion, accidentally picked one of those up, somehow not realizing its not the standard size. Then I end up trading them back in for another bar or some other piece of Silver. I do like the historical stuff though. I just don't have tubes for the non-standard 1 ounce size. Really incredible additions to the collection. This friend from Georgia must be a very long-time collector. He really does have some incredible pieces in his collection. Very cool! Enjoyed the video! Keep collecting & stacking!
You know it- this box is from a guy that has been collecting a long while. Glad he has reached out to me to move silver from time to time! The longer one ounce bars are frustrating for a guardhouse box stacker, lol! I'll find a different way to store those. Got your Christmas package- thank you! I'll send you an email this upcoming week.
I've been trying some shorter videos when I can. Sometimes it's not possible with a lot of silver. Thanks for hanging in there and checking out some neat silver😊
Always good to see you my friend! Yes- very nice indeed of your Georgia neighbor to send along some nice gold to give a way. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
Very cool unboxing with a number of bars from one of my favorite mints ( Hamilton Mint ) because of the vast variety they produced. Hope you & yours had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a very Happy New Year
GD! Merry Christmas sir and a Happy New Year to you! Thank you for all the support in 2024 and years past, much appreciated. Lets hope 2025 is a calm year- fingers crossed.
Great looking box. Best I've seen in atleast a few weeks being a bachelor 😂 Big fan of the W.S.R. round and 25oz chunker 👍 Have u ever seen a different year besides 1982 Prospector in lollipop wrapper? I haven't that y I ask. Thanks for the solid vid as always SS.✌
Epic scores you got there. All nice 1 oz bars. That tri sate refining round I do believe is a high premium round. I collect tri state refining and I haven’t found one in the wild yet! Congratulations on this score!!
I saw the Dragon round is a premium one- I didn't know anything about until seeing it in the box. For some reason, not a lot of Tr-State silver found out this way
@ I’m fortunate to find some at my lcs out here in the Midwest. I believe it started in Iowa then moved to South Dakota. Probably why I can find it out here v
Great package! What are your thoughts on the importance or not of leaving "vintage" silver in the original plastic? I cut open three original package toned bars tonight, dipped, incapsulated, and guardhoused. I like the cleaner look, but am hesitant to make this a standard procedure.
Great question! I have a lot to say on this topic, so I will make it as short as I can. A good example of OP that would enhance value is a round or bar in a COA or marked plastic. If the silver is in a sealed plain plastic bag in great shape, I'd leave it in there but if that plastic bag is in bad shape, I do take the silver out and into a capsule. I hope this helps!
I don't mean to show-boat or anything like that my friend. Everyone here as a different stacking strategy with different financial entanglements. The silver I get to show- some of it is rarely seen on YT. I view the SS channel as good collecting info for others to identify silver in the wild. Keep up the good work on your channel! I like your quest for all the generic Buffalos- neat😊
I wish I could talk more about the source of the silver but that would betray trust. The silver comes from a private collector with a stack that is much greater than my own. Some of the pics he has emailed me- just impressive. As we all know- privacy is the best security, so that's why the source is unnamed.
I've only been in the silver game for 5 years. Having started with the stacking mindset I'm always looking at spot price. When watching your videos I'd have to assume spot price means nothing when collecting this old vintage silver. I've always liked the old stuff and that's what I mostly bought and after watching your channel so much I'm only buying old silver now. I was just wondering how spot price plays into your silver stacking game. Does it matter much or is it just something you got over and don't really think about anymore.
That is an excellent question and I'm happy to answer it. Spot always matters to determine what sort of premium over spot to pay up for vintage. The neat part about collecting vintage silver is that it's somewhat numismatic in nature these days, so it moves a little different vs generics. Condition and also rarity play a role in some older silver. The down side would be selling back to the LCS for spot, so to realize gains, you need to put the work into selling privately. I rarely sell, so the vintage just goes into the stack. With spot plummeting as of late a lot of the vintage silver is still holding a higher premium and I find that pretty interesting- shows the staying power and value of this sort of silver.
Great vid Silver Struck! Talk about a goodie box, WOW! I liked all of it! 👍👍👍
Thank you for the support! Happy New Year!
Fun stuff! 😎
Always good to see you Asheland!
Awesome haul!!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed checking out the silver!

An impressive shipment, well done. You're finishing the year well.
Strong vintage stacking right to the end of 2024! I do have a lot of silver, so we will have to see about 2025- I might sift the stack.
That Krugerrand is SICK! That Chunk of silver at the start (fox) would be an amazing desk paperweight! SO many cool art bars! That Paul Bunyan is fantastic! I wish I had a friend from Georgia! I think the Bunyan is my favorite.
Time for a gaw on the channel soon I think! These surprise boxes are a lot of fun!
@@SilverStruck YES! I highly recommend them. It is very rewarding in so many ways!

OMGoodness, massive haul there Struck. What a great way to end your year. Congrats and happy stacking 2025 🥳✌🏻

Awesome 25 ouncer. I'll be looking forward to a follow-up once you find out what it is.

Oh man what a unboxing. That mustve been like opening xmas gifts as a kid on xmas morning 😂. That fox bar was the star of the show. What a cool bar

Happy Holidays Silver struck and happy New Year. Thank you for sharing.
Happy new Year Big Apple!
Great engelhard bar ,love the 25 ounce bar, different than most of that size 😊
That 25 ounce bar is a brick! Cool bar for the collection!
Great stuff, you can make those Hamilton Mint bars fit into a capsule if you Dremel down one edge on one side of the capsule.
I might modify the capsules but I also have the albums to work with for the longer bars.
Incredible unboxing. That 25 oz at the start is something else. Impressive.👍
That was a surprise for sure, what a brick that bar is! Good to see you PCI😊
Possibly the best unboxing I have seen in 2024….mind blown right out of the gate!
Really neat vintage in this box- that was a lot of fun to go through! Thank you for all the support you showed this channel in 2024. Happy New Year!
An awesome unboxing. I was SilverStruck by the 25 ouncer but my fav was the Star Spangled Banner Bar. ( Are My Maryland roots are showing? )
Nothing wrong with supporting a home town bar! Thank you for checking out the bars!
Nice Box! 😁 Lot's of Shiny Silver and that beautiful clinking of Sound! Only thing missing Christmas bow🎁
Neat arrangement of silver in the box! Some silvers I have never seen prior so that was a bit of fun!
That box was like Santa’s bag. Kept on giving!
Yes sir! There was silver tucked away all over. Very nice to have some gold for a future gaw as well👍
Wow You got a lots of bars, SS!
Always glad to add some more bars to the stack! Good to see you Ace and thank you for your recent card. Hoping to do a mail call video soon😊

A few really cool rare ones in the box this time around! I did research the two pieces you mentioned and they are pretty scarce. Good box of vintage😊👍
The Fox 25… 🔥 And a great way to close out with Prospectors. Fantastic haul, my friend!
That should close out this silver year! I'm hoping to do a follow up video soon with a little more detail on the 25 oz. bar. Happy New Year my friend!
