FYI, there are little loops on the inside bottom of both water bottle pockets where you can hook the external carry straps, then tighten them so they stay out of the way in the bottom of the bag. Not necessarily something you need to do, but still a thoughtful hidden feature.
That split strap for the Peak Design clip is absolute genius! I've been using bags that have shoulder strap MOLLE for my clip because I hated the rubbing if worn "traditionally".
VERY good video! You showed the entire bag with such details within a short time, sweet and concise. Just because of THIS video, i might be looking at this bag now.
i need a camera bag like this, but with a detachable waist strap! is there anything around that has a waist strap you can detach? i dont need it for general walking around or travel, but hiking and cycling it is a must.
Where did you Get the pouch, you showed when you started showing content in your bag? Is the side pockets easy to get to when out walking, or do you kinda need to do full stop and take off the bag to get to camera?
That's an EVERGOODS element drop in pouch! Great slim organiser. As for the stopping question. I usually come to a full stop when walking with it, but that's mainly because I don't use the side access!
@bachcomic is correct - it's the PD x SITKA collab clip. I think the light colour Shimoda UE looks awesome, and as it's made from this same ReCor it'll be tough as nails! Personally, I like that lighter bags show their own patina/character too!
Be aware...Shimoda says this fits a 16" laptop but it is very tight. You won't be storing and removing that laptop with one hand. If you have a case on your $3400 MacBook Pro (like I do) it's very difficult to store and remove. After the 16" laptop is in, that front pocket also gets tight and much less usable. Anything you put in the front pocket better be very thin. I think a dedicated zipper area would have been better than having it's access be INSIDE of another compartment.
You don't use the side access. In my case, having the side access on the wrong side is a deal-breaker. What were they thinking with a left-handed use camera pull-out pocket? They flushed the entire desined down the toilet. To make it more useless, they placed the tripod pocket on top of it, to make sure nobody would access their camera without setting down the bag.
It comes down to preference I suppose? Some of our crew like it fast and light, some will take the extra weight for extra protection when carrying their gear! What's your camera bag of choice?
@@CarryologyTV I respectfully disagree. Too much weight for a backpack intended to be used in an "urban" style with minimal equipment. I am still searching for my ideal backpack; I have tried many and have come to the conclusion that backpacks specifically designed for camera equipment are not suitable for me. They are overly complicated, excessively bulky, with unnecessary protection. This, of course, is my personal opinion, and I do not intend to offend anyone.
I'm not even a photographer and I watched it with interest. A perfect look at all of the bag's features!
Appreciate the love, we're here to help where we can!
Great review - direct, accurate and to the point! Thanks Ian
Thanks Ian - you guys crushed it with this bag!

Love seeing you in front of the camera 😁. Can’t wait to get my Urban Explorer 30.
Appreciate the love!
cant wait to get mine for the bali trip next year!!!
Sounds like an epic trip, this'll serve you well!
But does the bag stand on its on?
Great review! Could you please share the model for the flat accessories pouch? It's a great idea as I would not carry a laptop each time. Thank you
Thank you, it’s the EVERGOODS Element Drop In Pouch 😊
Awesome review!
Thanks mate - keep crushing it!
Why didn’t you go over the lap top compartment?
Hey, I'm more interesed in your dark green jacket, it looks great. Brand and model please? Thank you!
Hi there! This is the Range IS Jacket from Arc’teryx Veilance 🙂

I think the Db Ramverk Pro is a great option if you want the minimalist style but with the removable waist strap. Also comes in two sizes (26 and 32L)
Price point ?

Does the bag stand upright when it's full or Empty? Do the zippers have a anti theft system? Thanks.
Hi there! Yes it does stand up, but as with all camera bags, depends where you put the weight/centre of gravity. Thanks for watching!
What is the name (brand and model) of your flat pouch you mentioned? I have ordered the same bag 25L and waiting to get it next year.
that's the EVERGOODS Element Drop In Pouch!
Nice video but what about a water bottle option?
The side pockets can fit a water bottle comfortably. The tall ones fit best, I found the 20oz Miir to be perfect for this sized bag!
What Color is that capture clip? Haven't seen that Color before.
Thoughts on the lighter Color Shimoda bag?
It's from Peak Design x SITKA gear collaboration

What camera is on the capture clip?
That's a Leica Q2 Reporter Edition 😊
What’s the story on that jacket?
That's a Veilance Range IS Jacket - Killer piece!
why did you stand
in the middle of the road in such a misty day…(?)
What jacket is that?
It’s an Arc’teryx Veilance Range IS 😊

That sound ... :(
Note to self - no GoreTex jackets when using a clipLav! 🤪
@@CarryologyTVsounds like you had the gain too high, your voice sounds like its clipping
why don't you look in the lens?
1.8 kg for a 20L backpack is honestly too heavy.
