I forgot my Tank 3 Pro phone on top of my car, and while I was driving, it fell off. My car is 2 meters high, and I was going at about 110 km/h. I saw something spinning very fast behind my car but didn't realize it was my phone until I stopped to check. Indeed, it was my Tank 3 Pro.
Was it damaged? Yes, it had a few scratches and the projector glass was broken, but the phone was still working perfectly. Please don't try this yourself; it was super dangerous. It could have ended badly if it had hit another car. Don't leave your belongings, especially your phone, on top of your car. I just wanted to share this to demonstrate how durable this phone is. It’s literally as tough as a rock.

I got the tank 3, regular version. It's a beast. 666 grams of phone. Aaaand I use it as my regular phone. I game. I game a lot. At any opportunity. And I was tired of running out of battery. My last phone I had to charge it at least one time in the middle of the day or at least late afternoon. Well, no more of that with this beast. It's clunky. It's heavy. I had to spend two weeks getting used to the weight. But no more charging in the middle of the day. 20%? Great, still have battery to play for 4 or 5 more hours!

    • @Fodassepaestamerda
      @Fodassepaestamerda 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Bones-uu6zp Heya Bones, the major difference is the projector and 300 grams more of weight. To be honest I wouldn't go for the pro version unless you are sure you'll use the projector a lot. Like I said previously this guy is a beast. 2 weeks just to get used to the weight. With 300 grams more it's almost 1Kg of phone.
Regarding the SIM, it's pretty much take it out of the Moto and put it on the new phone. Regarding the apps, if you have a Google account you can basically back it up on the Google account (including WhatsApp conversations) and when you link the new account on the new phone you can download everything. Took me around 2 or 3 hours to get this phone with everything my previous had. Afterwards you just need to do all the logins on the apps/games again. I believe there are some videos on TH-cam showing all this process. Hope that helps.

I like that there's competition and different phone manufacturers can focus on different features, but I'd love to see a "back to basics" phone, like an XPERIA (with a better headphone jack and memory card) with an easily replaceable battery, but also with top of the line camera hardware and a good productivity features like a desktop mode.
That would do it for me. I'd spend a LOT on that phone.

I bought a Sonim XP10 last year. I made a mistake in buying one off Ebay and it didn't have a warranty. I have dropped it going 30 mph on my ebike and it was fine. Until I dropped a bottle of calogne on it and the screen cracked(my mistake on not using screen protectors) if I can't replace the screen I think my next phone looks like it will be a Tank 2. I need a rugged phone because I'm dumb and clumsy to the point most phones barely last me a year and I bought my first rugged phone, and it's been a year since.
Anyways thank you for sharing this I think I've made my decision on what phone I will buy next.

Brought 1 yesterday, holy crap to be honest I'm thinking why after feeling how heavy this thing is. BUT I'm willing to adsorb this fact due to how long it will last because I travel a LOT through multiple countries/airports and have many blackouts in Vietnam where I live (I'm an Aussie expat). Definitely can't hold it up for too long you will have to rest the bottom on something any more than 10mins. Battery is currently at 88% after charging less than 24hrs ago, but it's had hard use with me setting it up and testing everything and I have it set up for hardcore sexy looking settings/RAM.

i really love the concept. projector. long battery life. durable. generally reminds me of my old lg g4 that had 2 tb of storage on the phone and a projector i miss those characteristics on a phone. like samsung s21 on many occations short storage has bothered me. i dont like online cloud services always. google drive is only 10gb and then you have to start paying .etc.
i also wouldn't mind having 2 phones. this tank phone would be used for gathering evidence. so everything is organized on it as evidence. i might be out in the rain or something when trying to take pictures of stuff etc. blowing snow, etc. i can also back up my stuff onto it. use it semi as an ssd drrive. the phone itself is the back up of my files. etc.
if i do type c to type c from phone to phone? would i be able to transfer files from phone to phone with a type c to type c cable?

I LOVE this phone, my other half is all about that Van Life and using this would be great and the projector....chefs kiss. Thank you for another great video, any chance of more "quirky" items reviewed?

It should be decent for gaming. The dimensity is a solid chip, but it's not going to outpace a Poco F series. I'm not sure if it is directly sold, but I would imagine you can score one through an international reseller or a site like Aliexpress.

Projector plus this battery.... On a pixel 7 year support... I'd buy it.
I would definitely buy it if I could still use the projector after flashing the OS to something else like graphene.

Okay so honestly I just at this point believe that people in America don't know what they want.
This phone has literally every feature that I could ever ask for in a phone. And yet no one knows about it because everything we deal with is just name brand garbage.
(Like 70% of the time but I'm not calling everyone out there are some good companies) But it seems like to me that instead of selling cool new unique phones like this and marketing and pushing them out there we get the same old garbage every year with features now that we don't need. It just makes you think.

Some airlines might not let you put it in check-in luggage with that 20,000mah battery. But otherwise, shouldn't be an issue.

Considering that we live in 2024 and they now charge you to put your SIM card in a different phone... Who's got the money to just pay either an entire extra phone bill or $30 each weekend they go out? Or even remember to do so if you have the means?
