    Stilling hanging in. Taking my time with your lessons. Still struggling with keeping the thumb and pinky bent and relaxed. My favorite piece is Go Tell Aunt Rhody.

    Hi I am really enjoying your very friendly, encouraging manner so look forward to the next lesson very much. Thank you. I am finding it difficult though to quickly place all 4 fingers down together and be on time and in tune. Also my pinkie only just reaches the string so is not curved or relaxed at all!!

      After 10 days, I learned how to bow while my shoulder is in relax position, it is so really stubborn at first but now it only happen once in a while when playing G string.
      My favorite is "Go tell Aunt Rhody" because I am familiar with it because they use the tune in Resident Evil 7 (Game) as a soundtrack.

    But while you playing you are shaking your fingers what's the meaning of that?

    • @violinclasses
      @violinclasses  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there, that is vibrato. You will learn that later. Get your note reading under your belt first!

    I'm very frustrated. Can't get my index finger to the g-string LOL trying to learn the chromatic method. Is there any type of exercises I can do to stretch my fingers

    • @violinclasses
      @violinclasses  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Patrick, how is your hand position ? Might that be a reason why you can’t reach the G string? Have you tried bringing your left elbow further under the violin? I mean very far under, so that your elbow is almost in front of your tummy? That should make your fingers move over towards the G string . Hope this helps

    I am thoroughly enjoying this course and feel like I’m making a lot of progress. Thank you! ..I have a question please: when I am playing, I feel like the notes are joined and not separated. It sound as there is a small note between 2 notes. I hope it makes sense.

      Hi Nataly, thanks for your comment. Gad you are enjoying the course. Your question is a good one. Are your left hand fingers and bow strokes precisely in sync?
