- MIX YOUR OWN GREENS! Do not use the green color from the box or tube, at least not for greenery. This video shows how to create beautiful green colors from blue and yellow and compares Daniel Smith's Indigo watercolor with Winsor & Newton's Payne's Grey (both Cotman and professional versions).
I have had Payne's Grey on my palette for a long time, but after experimenting with Indigo, I am also considering adding it to my palette.

Very nice green. For me, since I live in tropical country, my chosen pair are Nickel Azo Yellow and Indanthrone Blue for lush foliage green. They give me a slightly more vivid green while still retain the depth and darkness
