The rule of thumb for bringing coffee to a good temperature is insightful. Though you bring attention to the quality of water, what do you suggest to improve hard water? Buy distilled or drinking water? What if there is too little mineral content?

🚨 Great question! Let’s talk about improving water quality for your coffee!
💧 Hard water issues? Use a water filtration system or softening pitcher to reduce hardness without losing essential minerals for flavor.
⚡ Distilled water? Avoid using it alone-coffee loves minerals! Add mineral drops or a coffee-specific blend like Third Wave Water for a balanced taste.
✨ Low mineral content? Add a touch of balanced calcium and magnesium to enhance extraction and flavor.
Remember, the best coffee starts with great water! Let me know if you try these tips or have more brewing questions. Happy brewing! ☕

Great advice. All true. Thanks. Add there's only a few automatic drip machines that will get the temp up to >95 degrees C. That is nearly boiling. Commercial "Bunn" 's, you seen in restaurants do. "Technivorm" brand another one. Lot less money than the workhorse Bunn, but still not cheap. Money well spent. Mine ten years old, and with periodic vinegar flushes, rewards me every morning. with a great cup. "Buy the last one first". My two bits of advice tossed in.
