I love to see you out with your daughters. My youngest daughter, who is now 23, and I love to go thrifting, antiquing, and to yard and estate sales. You are creating memories they and you will always treasure. Your sweet voice and genuine excitement are so endearing. Can’t wait to see your finished bathroom and entryway. May God continued to bless you and your sweet family in 2022.
The chandelier was a steal. after its polished and dressed with crystals it's going to be stunning. the jar of glass crystals for .50 cents was virtually free The one in your bedroom looks fab!!
Look back at this vlog and notice when you see the "green and white candle and touch the item behind it - THERE WAS ANOTHER REINDEER like the set that Vivian found ! I believe they are for the Mantle to hold the stockings...go back and get the fourth one ! This way you'll have one for each family memeber...if no mantle, you can set them the edge of a bookcase, cupboard, anywhere.
Your girls are definitely your daughters.it must be so much fun to go thrifting with them..my Grandaughters love to thrift with me .thank goodness..the chandelier is beautiful..very nice haul .love your videos. Hope y,all had a wonderful Christmas and have. Great new year. God bless .
It’s something every thrifter or junk store shopper do the same thing, been doing since birth my mom and her sisters use to go, l always went with them then,l started to be the driver when they got older, their gone and I still go,I love it I’ve got so many beautiful things over the years, just luv, luv luv your site I’m thrifting with you and telling you what to buy ,😄😄😄
I believe the trumpeting angels were Christmas stocking hooks. They looked like really good ones! They should position the stockings and their weight under the mantle (making them more stable).
You can have your girls make cute pillows to give to family or keep, out of the cross-stitch. If you look for Museum art books like the Metropolitan Art Museum they give you pictures from the art museum copies in those books so if you buy one of those then you have lots of almost free art at estate sales. 🥰P. S. You don’t need to cut them out. They are loose in an envelope.
Hi from Lisa from Australia, I was introduced to you vlog from Canterbury cottage, I am now a subscriber and enjoy your content, we don't have the history and old unique finds in what we call our opp shops, so I envy your finds, the paint brushes would be my favourite.
Art Deco is from the 20s (think great Gatsby), the milk glass you see in thrifting and tag sales are usually 20-30 years old. But I think milk glass vase and roses are just lovely no matter the age!
Yep. While milk glass dates back to the 1500's, there seems to have been a big craze in around the 70s and 80s where it was produced en masse and those pieces are typically what make up the bulk of what we find at thrift stores/antique stores. I rarely ever look at the stuff myself because with my back pain and impatience, I don't want to dig through them all lol Not to mention limited space - I'd find several things to 'hoard' from any decade lol
@@kathleenwoodbury7491 right, milk glass has been around a long time. I sell tons of milk glass, so I was just trying to say that the glass in thrift stores & goodwill, while still nice and can be old, are NOT from the Art Deco period. Many of these pieces can be reproductions :(
Love love the ocean picture That’s a beautiful chandelier, great find and price: You can find a lot of crystals around Christmas time at the hobby stores
The chandelier!!!! Omg $5!!!! It's gorgeous!!! Since finding your channel, I've watched a few more thrifting ones... a few I really like, but I just can't believe the prices you pay and your in California!! I watched all your videos in 3 days and I do hope you add some 'day in the life' ones again... and recipes!! Those are really sweet and gives the feeling of 'knowing' you and your family 🥰
I took my two little boys thrifting and to the antique mall, (I had no babysitter) , guess what they still don’t mind it. They are now 18 and 20. You gotta start them young! The brackets are stocking holders for Christmas!
Great thrift haul Sarah TFS! My favorite find is definitely the chandelier!! What an awesome 👏 price too!!!😍 It will look amazing with crystals added to it.
The deer and angels are stocking holders for a fireplace mantel. The little floral picture could be even from the 40's just from the color of the flowers looks like a lot of the muted colors they used in that time period. You got some great things. My favorites were the chandelier and the little floral picture, but all of your finds are beautiful! I can't wait to see how you use them in your home.
It is milk glass but in an Art Deco style. I like the floral print couldn’t tell if it was on silk. I bought something similar for 99 cents so you got better deal! Lol. I love thrifting old light fixtures. I have great electrician who rewires them for me.
Go antique storing??? …..we get kinda silly talking with what we say when we are super overjoyed with showing our favorite exciting find of the day!!….lol I would be flabbergasted too finding this chandelier for only $5 …..WOWZER!!!
It is a joy to see the things you purchase through your eyes. We are all so unique in the things that delight us. Am looking forward to your next makeover room.
Love your haul! The nutcracker mold is a cookie mold but you can melt scented wax tarts in the microwave and make ornaments also. And the brushes I believe are wall-paper glue brushes. Beautiful chandelier!!
Love the chandelier! The money evens out..haha..when you think about it! That’s why I like thrifting I don’t have to feel guilty for spending a little more here and there when I see something I just have to have. Love seeing you having fun shopping with your girls!
Hi Sara! Just found your channel from watching Julies Designs and I love your content and style so I've subscribed!😊 I wanted to suggest to Violet for her Nutcracker mold you can use the recipe for "non food cinnamon ornaments" they also have applesauce and oil of cloves in the mixture so it smells wonderful! I thought she would enjoy making those for Christmas next year! Love your chandelier...what a find! That's the thrill of thrifting! I'm a Kindred Spirit!😉❤
