Grateful ! I’m so grateful that we had no major illnesses in our family or loss of jobs or income . We were blessed for sure. So many others have had such a rough couple of years. We lost a family member in 2020 due to Covid. My grandson is now a single dad of five children. My husband’s health took a turn and he is now on dialysis. But through it all we have survived with Gods help. We will continue to look to Him for his grace. Amen

My daughter and i have been choosing words for several years now. my word for the last few years is "perseverance." Just a few days ago, our water line broke and we were unexpectedly without water for 24 hours... i was so thankful when it was restored, it made me think of all the things we take for granted.
The word I have been using is caring. I’ve been working on caring about others needs and spending time with others. I get busy “playing “ around my house that I end up shutting out the world. The Lord actually gave me a phrase for this year and it is "rise up", which to me signifies the beginning of a new journey and finding out what God is calling me to in the new season my family is embarking on. I think I am going to borrow your word, for 2022. I live in my childhood home. It is old and really needs some work, but money is very tight, right now, but I am thankful that we have a roof over our head. I am thankful that my children are healthy and fed. Life gets so busy, and I forget to be thankful. My 19 year old daughter woke up, yesterday, and said she could feel her heart beating and she said the first thing she said was...."Thank you, father, for my heartbeat." Sometimes, we just take everything for granted, and we forget to be thankful, so thank you, for reminding me. I always pride Him, in the good AND bad times, because some of the most valuable lessons, are learned throughout the bad times. Anyway, your home is lovely, and I really love your style. You really seem to appreciate everything. I think, many of us, need to slow down and learn to appreciate more of what we have, instead of wishing for what we don't have.

I haven’t thought of a word for this year, but you’ve given me something to think about. I really like the word that you have chosen. I love both of the trunks, however with the white you went with I believe that white trunk is a gorgeous touch. My word would be "Motivated" that's what I need to be this year!! I remember when I use to clean, & decorate all the time!! Now with my RA & needing back surgery I'm lacking the motivation to do the things I love!! (Gardening also) I'm starting on my kitchen repainting cabinets, (with my Sons help🙏) & planning a kitchen makeover, where I live, it's Soo dry & the wind blows all the time, (I need a leaf blower to get my dusting done)!! I have so many of the things you show in your videos. My mom would have loved your videos, she thrifted many of the same or similar items, as you. I think I have the exact same silhouette pictures, and other things that you have decorated your home with.
I like both the white trunk and the wicker trunk but I think I prefer the wicker. I feel it adds a bit more of a natural element to the room and more warmth. But both are fabulous. Nothing wrong with changing them out for the seasons every once in awhile.

For the whoke look I would go with the creamy trunk , wicker is more " country, primitive, boho" to me, also nice, but I think your bedroom has got a certain vibe of being more elegant than boho. I love wicker in the kitchen, and other utility areas though . I’m going to think on my word and get back with you. I think that’s a great thing to do and keep it in mind throughout the year. How blessed we are as women to be keepers of our home. And for me - my garden as well. It is my sanctuary. It’s also therapeutic (my garden).

I like both the white trunk and the wicker trunk but I think I prefer the wicker. I feel it adds a bit more of a natural element to the room and more warmth. But both are fabulous. Nothing wrong with changing them out for the seasons every once in awhile.

Sarah, your bedroom is beautiful, so "shabby chic" which is actually quite elegant , not shabby at all! I just love it. For the whoke look I would go with the creamy trunk , wicker is more " country, primitive, boho" to me, also nice, but I think your bedroom has got a certain vibe of being more elegant than boho. I love wicker in the kitchen, and other utility areas though . My bedroom has got more of a French look , so I do not use wicker in it ...Your creamy dreamy trunk would be perfect 👍🤗Love your style and I love how you are finding such treasures on your thrifting trips with the girls 😍
