the anime of dragon ball super is not canon in the manga. Dragon ball super manga and anime are different products, that is, 2 different visions of the same story from toriyama's script.

This manga arc was so great, haven't seen dragon ball fights quite as good since Goku black. The tournament of power in the manga didn't do it for me but man the fights were good in this arc
ToP in the manga was ass, but this one doesn’t seem that good, Moro just became another discount Cell and Vegeta still hasn’t gotten his moment, it felt like Gohan vs Cell all over again but instead of 16 its Merus and he couldn’t stay dead.
You had a ton of overlooked serious moments in the anime. Goku is goofy in every series it’s just who he is, but he knows when it’s time to get serious.
